Not happy at all with this company.

I contracted with this company to provide an intensive course for my grandson. Up to now I have paid £845 deposit for very little. All they've done so far is book a theory test and a retest which I had to pay £35 for instead of the dvla cost of £23. I am extremely disappointed in National intensive. I don't think it's their fault they can no longer book a quick practical test as its new government policy but beware they can no longer book tests. You also have to pay mega bucks for driving lessons on top of the so called deposit. I wouldn't bother if I were you.

We’re sorry to hear you feel disappointed with your experience, however we do feel this review is unfair and does not accurately reflect the information provided during the booking process.

Our pricing is fully transparent from the outset, and customers are clearly given the choice regarding theory test bookings and retests. If a theory test is failed, customers can either book a retest directly themselves through the DVSA at the standard government fee, or request that we arrange this on their behalf. Where we handle the booking, the price differs because this includes our administration and booking service. As a business, we cannot provide these services free of charge.

We have also always made clear that lesson costs are separate from the initial deposit, and current delays with practical driving tests are due to nationwide DVSA availability issues, and from yesterday, the DVSA changes that have come into force, which unfortunately affect all driving schools and providers.

We always aim to provide a professional and transparent service, and we remain happy to assist customers throughout the process.

Very expensive, not worth it

Instructor was very bad at communicating. what you get it’s not worth the money. I would definitely recommend to shop around, better offers out there . This company is not worth it. I would not recommend to use this company. I booked for my daughter & she was always upset after the lesson. Tried to change instructor but the company pay the instructor up front so you then have to ask the instructor for the money back which is ridiculous. Surely should pay instructor after the lessons. Absolutely insane way of working. Then the instructor changed the car before her test which she was not use too & had never driven in.
Please avoid this company.

Thank you for your feedback. In order for us to properly investigate this matter, we do need the full name of the pupil who booked the course so we can verify the booking and look into the details of what happened. Without this information, we are unable to respond accurately to the claims made.

We would also like to clarify that our prices are competitive within the industry, so the suggestion that our services are “not worth the money” is not accurate.

Regarding block bookings, as with all driving schools, payment is taken upfront so the instructor can reserve that time in their diary specifically for the pupil. This is standard practice across the industry, not something unique to us.

We feel this review is unfair and unjust, particularly as some of the statements made do not reflect how our booking system or policies actually work.

The deposit is pricy

The deposit is quite pricy, and unrefundable. It doesn't actually cover lessons. It covers a low quality theory lesson and booking the tests, which can be done for much less than 800 Pounds.

We understand your concerns regarding the deposit. However, we were very transparent at the point of booking about what the course fee and deposit covered, along with the terms and conditions relating to refunds.

The deposit was not solely for booking tests. It covered administration, course planning, instructor allocation, theory support, and the work involved in securing and managing driving test bookings, which has become increasingly difficult due to DVSA availability and ongoing system changes.

You chose to proceed with the booking having been provided with this information in advance. As a business, we are unfortunately unable to offer services free of charge or refund costs where resources, staff time, and course arrangements have already been committed.
