Having placed an order of more than £5000 in March with Natural Bed Company, the delivery confirmed for 6th August, I received an email from the company on 3rd August advising me that they were only able to part fulfil my order. The chests of drawers were not available and their supplier in Vietnam not responding to any correspondence since February.
Frustrated and flabbergasted does not cover it. I know I haven’t been told the truth especially as I see that the website still shows the units as available. And they changed their story so for that reason I would not recommend using this company at all.

I love my bed and mattress from Natural Bed Company. The Cochin bed is stunning and sturdy - I was worried about having to put it together myself, but it was simple and elegant and has held up for 7 months now with no problems at all. I also bought the Weldbank 1400 as I was after a fairly firm mattress for my lower back pain, I've found it super comfortable and just firm enough. Customer service was also excellent - everyone I spoke to, either on the phone or over email, was proactive, polite, and helpful. Really couldn't recommend enough.

Beth especially has made buying this bed and bedside table really good. Was patient throughout despite difficult requests from myself. I cannot wait to get them!

We purchased a kingsize hoxton bed. When we went to look round the showroom staff were friendly and helpful. The lead time for the bed was quite long, but was well worth the wait. The bed quality is fantastic.
We have just contacted customer services as some bedding we bought was faulty. They were outstanding, replying to my email in under an hour and offering a full refund which was processed by the following morning.

I knew what I wanted: two low beds, handmade from solid ash and minimalist in style. After a long search the only company that could provide me with what I wanted turned out to be the Natural Bed Company. I have to admit I hadn't heard of them before, but made an inquiry right away when I discovered them about two beds in a non standard size.

They replied swiftly and after some thinking I ordered two Ki beds. Times were challenging, because of the Covid pandemice and Brexit (I'm located outside the UK) that was now upon us. All my questions regarding these topics were dealt with in a very friendly and timely manner.

The beds were ready a little earlier than promised. Since I was away from home for a couple of days it wasn't an issue for them to ship the bed a little later.

First thing to notice when the beds arrived was the excellent packaging. I've had issues with damaged furniture that I ordered from a different company in the past, so very happy to see that the Natural Bed Company takes this seriously.

Second thing was the wonderful quality of the finish of the wood and the beds are just what I wanted. Top notch.

Putting the beds together was a breeze as well.

Overall my experience couldn't be better. Great product, great service and 12 years of warranty. All this for a very reasonable price. I won't hesitate to recommend Natural Bed Company to anyone or order again in the future should the need arise.

I bought a mattress from here a while back and let me tell you something....I have slept on it like a baby ever since! The staff there are particularly lovely and I’m more than excited to pop back in to see their other products! High quality goods with high quality service! X

I ordered a bedside table and when received the table did not look as it did on line. It appears at the front as if it has not been varnished correctly. I only wish I could upload a photograph to show how terrible one side of the table looks.

Having sent a photograph the reply stated that this was natural silvering of the oak grain. I have never seen this particular effect in the grain of any of my other solid oak furniture. I the stated I would like to proceed with the return due to the very poor appear every of the item, which at £340 I consider to be a high price for a bedside table and therefore should be checked before being sent.

The company have said that the item is not faulty. There is no doubt that it is well made, however, it does not look good, which is the least I would expect for something at this price point, therefore I would have to pay return. As a gesture of goodwill they will pay for half which still means I have to pay a “contribution” of £23.87. I feel I am left with no choice as I do not want to look at this piece of furniture looking the way it does.

Needless to say I will not buy from this company again. I only went with then having read the reviews here which I am now suspicious of.

Update.

The bedside table was returned on Tuesday 2nd February and it is now Saturday 20th. I have had no refund. I have been told on several occasions up that the table has not been returned by the courier yet. As I am informed the total return cost, of which I am expected to pay half, is over £50 this also seems very poor value.

The beds are fabulous! We have the arran beds wtih pure wool covered headboards in our holiday let. Wish they were in our house instead! The quality is top notch and I love the Moon fabric that we have. I highly recommend The Natural Bed Company.

I love the bed. I had a few issues with assembly - all my fault! On ringing the natural bed company they were very quickly able to help me. Dispatch was to the exact date I was quoted and delivery painless. The bed looks great - I’d highly recommend this company.

I ordered the bed just as lockdown started. I found the staff very helpful and the delivery date they gave me was beaten by 2 weeks.

I've had the bed now for just over a month and am really pleased with it.  The delivery was on time and the couriers carried the packages to the bedroom which was very useful as the components are quite heavy.  Assembly was straightforward with no issues encountered.
Best of all, it looks as good in real life as in the images on the web site.
It's valuable to support British companies and craftsmen during these difficult times.

We have ordered a maple wood bed in June 2020 and received it mid-August, which was much sooner than expected and was a nice surprise. Company representative was very patient with my constant requests to double- and triple-check everything and attentive to my specific requests and needs. Our new bed looks beautiful and has a nice sweet scent of wood. It is a solid and wonderfully crafted bed to our exact specifications. We are very happy with it.
Delivery was also a great experience. Delivery guys were on time, called before arriving, were very helpful and courteous. They unpacked everything, took rubbish away and waited a little while we checked that everything was in order.
Assembly of the bed was extremely easy. Took us about 20-30 mins maximum. A person can even do it alone if needed. Instructions are clear and packaging is straight forward. Some of it was even recyclable, which I really appreciate.
We are very happy with great client service, with our new bed and with overall experience. Highly recommend this company.

We got a bed from them recently. They were super helpful in storing it during lockdown until we were ready to receive it when our renovation was finished, and then they helped us identify a problem (on our end, not with the bed) and helped fix it. Excellent service, beautiful, solid well-made bed. The self-assembly instructions were perfectly clear and it was easy. .

Love the quality of the beds.

It took a while to find a bed because so many of the competitors are charging premium price for what is essentially small pieces of glued wood. Indigo furniture was the only one we could see that were genuine rivals to Natural Bed Company but their style was dated and the craftsmanship didn’t have the edge, (and Indigo has just closed shop, according to staff it had nothing to do with Covid19, rather it was bad management).

We found Natural bed company and decided to take a risk ordering (online furniture ordering can be fraught with complication since you can’t see the quality).

We chose the Malabar in oak, and thankfully it’s pure joy to look at and to assemble. The slats easily slot into holders, I think it took two of us 30mins to assemble.

If you’re looking for a replacement bed that’s crafted to high standards using quality materials (no glued bitty pieces of wood here), then please support these guys, they’re in Sheffield and will surely need the business to stay afloat.

They also accommodate alterations to their beds too.

We’ve taken the approach to buy once buy right. I’ve bought beds poorly in the past and have ended up binning 3 in the space of 4 years, which doesn’t sit well with me in the current climate.

The Malabar we own looks like it’ll last 15 years plus with a little care. We have two more on order and respect how Natural Bed Company are taking orders in the current climate; they take 10% up front and the rest on completion. Turn around times are 8-10 weeks, but possibly longer during Covid.

My natural bed is now 10 years old and still looks like the day I got it. Always keen to buy UK Made and very pleased I did! Hope to buy other bits in the future!

I ordered a Sahara bed in cherry, it’s such a beautiful bed, absolutely delighted, just what I was looking for. I was unable to find anything like this in any store. I was able to build the bed on my own, very straightforward. Plus made in the UK.

I ordered a Tibet bed in Oak. The bed was delivered on time and I was kept informed of the date and time of delivery. The bed is beautiful and very sturdy. Really pleased.

I love this mattress, it is very firm and just what I needed for a bad back. The service from the shop was excellent and delivery was within a week of placing the order. I would highly recommend!
