Neptune - Colchester Reviews 

I went along with a friend to Neptune as she needed to buy some soft furnishings. I basically ended up buying a kitchen!

From the moment I walked in the door, the store just felt so welcoming and everything was so lovely. I had been thinking of a new kitchen and we had been to the usual places, but to be honest I thought Neptune may be a little out of my price range so hadn't really considered it. However, speaking to one of their kitchen designers at the Colchester store, he explained that they could work to most budgets. What i loved most about Neptune was that I knew I wanted a certain style of shaker kitchen and there were a handful of styles available in many colours, but not so many that it was too overwhelming to make a choice. I was pretty much sold after that one visit.

To cut a long story short, we ordered a kitchen and the whole experience has been fantastic. Everything ran to time, nothing has been too much trouble, from our initial chat with Jonathan the kitchen designer, to the running of the project with Claire, Anna and James.

The installation was second to none! Darren who installed the kitchen was absolutely brilliant, even making suggestions and tweaks on site as he went so everything was spot on. James and Darren even made sure they were there for the templating of my worktops, so they could offer invaluable advice.

Even when i phoned up to order more paint for my walls, the lady i spoke to couldn't have been more helpful.

You are basically made to feel like a VIP and we all know kitchens are not cheap, so just having that extra level of service makes a whole world of difference. In comparison.we had been to other places where it was clear they just wanted to get a kitchen sold there and then. There was no interest in the customer experience or true design that worked.

I would not hesitate in recommending Neptune and the Colchester team. They really are outstanding.

I was so impressed that when a tiny mark appeared on our sideboard 2 weeks after delivery Neptune initially sent someone to touch up paint and when it became apparent that it was still noticeable they proactively sent us a replacement. Great experience and really pleased with latest item as well as 2 table and chair sets and sideboards bought previously. An unusually high standard of personal service.

Excellent helpful staff, Sally was very patient as we changed our minds several times, her advice and suggestions guided us to our goal. Would highly recommend the staff and products.

What an absolute pleasure it has been dealing with Neptune Colchester. All the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the products sold in store.
The products themselves are of a high quality, expensive, but I think you get what you pay for so it's really worth paying the extra.
We opted for the Interior Design service and am so glad we did. Danielle Paddon (our designated designer) was simply amazing with impeccable taste and to top it all was wonderful and easy to work with.
She listened to what we wanted and came up with ideas that we hadn't even thought of !
Thanks to Danielle, our lounge looks chic, warm and inviting like never before.
If you ever get the chance to visit Neptune in Colchester, go for it as I'm sure you will not regret it.

I ordered and paid for a piece of furniture many months ago. I have been given several delivery dates of when it would turn up and it has never been delivered.

Excellent customer service. Very prompt . Extremely pleased with my new table lamps . Always a pleasure to deal with Neptune

Staff are always friendly and helpful and the store always have such beautiful displays. I ordered the ceramic Christmas trees a little too late and the delivery was the 30th December and they turned up Christmas Eve, I was so pleased with our Christmas centre piece which was a hurricane lamp I purchased in store with the trees and candles either side.

I used Neptune in the past many times but was disappointed with my last visit
I wanted to purchase some of the small Xmas trees and ceramic houses but was told they were out of stock. I was not allowed to buy the ones on display
Normally the staff are very good and try to order them on line. Unfortunately the young lady seemed totally disinterested in doing anything so I ordered them myself. I have spent a lot of money in past and enjoyed visiting Neptunes but, as I say, was disappointed by this visit. I also told her that I was not invited for the Xmas preview she didn’t even bother to check to see if I was still on your email list

Utterly hopeless, products never ever arrive on the stated delivery date.

Christmas gift now arriving (possibly) in January… great! 😡

Continually let down by this company, great products but hopeless service.

I ordered my Arundel table and Sheldrake chairs in August and they were delivered last week in time for Christmas. Throughout the choosing and ordering process the Neptune staff were very pleasant and helpful. In our visits we had the undivided attention of a member of staff and we were never rushed. Visiting the Neptune store in Colchester is like visiting someone's home, with lots of good ideas and to top it all the store smells wonderful, with all the candles and diffusers in each area. Will definitely be visiting again in the future for more ideas.

Delivery guys great I’ve still got my items boxed but all previous purchases have been excellent so I have no doubt these products will be too.

The staff in the shop were extremely helpful, polite and very professional. Made very good suggestions and had good ideas. I found it a refreshing change from most shops. The items I purchased are very well made and I am delighted with them. I also would like to mention the delivery drivers as I felt they also deserve praise. Well done Neptune.

Excellent, personable service and staff genuinely take an interest. When I had a problem with my lamp and the delivery they were on hand to sort and a pleasure to deal with. Definitely felt like they went the extra mile!

We ordered a large dining table and a large dresser back in June/July and 2 weeks ago they were delivered. The delivery chaps were lovely but sadly, damaged the dresser in several places when assembling it. They advised that they took photos and have advised HQ of the damage and we would be contacted in a day or two to arrange repair. After a week of nothing I called the store to advise I had not heard so they asked for me to put an email together with photos and they would get back to me immediately. That was a week ago and I have still heard nothing. I spent almost 15k in that store and no-one wants to help rectify the damage they caused. I am unimpressed.

An amazing shop with very helpful friendly kind staff we have bought table chairs sideboard stools and various home goods. Just wish there was one in Chelmsford it would be amazing. I only found out about Neptune by a lady in the White Company telling me to go and shop in Neptune thank goodness she did. She is now employed in the Colchester Branch her name is Charlene thank goodness she told me about Neptune it is amazing thank you

Knowledgable, helpful and such lovely staff in this shop. Great service too. I have recently ordered paint and curtain material from here and the orders cam in very quickly.
Absolutely would use again. Oh by the way such a beautiful shop and great coffee!

Quite simply, my favourite store. Staff are beyond friendly and very welcoming!. Quality products and a real customer experience that isn’t matched in any other retail setting!
