Took my van in to Newport today for some warranty work. Felt welcome when I arrived, all work carried out to my satisfaction, no fuss about doing the work.
More than pleased with the service from all staff

Newport caravans Bodyshop I can only give 5 stars . Greeted by workshop manager and technician after having fault with Truma AC unit . Few days later had a call . All ok ready to go . Quick reliable service . Body shop recomended by David Thomas

Poor after sales service. Problem after problem. To top it off, took in for repair again. Full tank of fuel when left it, collected 8 days later with 60 miles left in it!!
Never using again

Me and my partner was in the market for a caravan for a while and decided we wanted a tourer. Our budget was about 5k.
We went to the other side of Cardiff to have a look at one for 5k to which we both did not like.

So I said let's go to Newport caravans to have a look. We were looking round and my partner was liking a caravan for 16k. I was hesitant as it was out of our budget.

But the previous owner was there taking his new caravan back which he part ex it in for. Which he said he was having problems with. But he was telling us how great and sorry he part ex it in for as he had nothing but problems with. He had his old caravan since new and had no real issues with. Trevor then told us he paid £600 for a cover that would not fit the new caravan. So he told us that Newport caravans had it in on the old one he part ex it in. So Ryan promised us it was in on the deal to which really sold it to us.
On the day we picked it up it was not in the van so Ryan told us to ring him and he will sort out no problem. Just give him a few days to get it as he will locate it for us.

I rang a few times and he was not available or not in. I did speak to Ryan twice and he was a different person to when I bought the van for 16k. I never got the cover and never did he return my calls. Totally gutted if I'm honest. Thanks Newport caravans

Booked my motorhome in for some repairs and a service and arranged to collect two weeks later. When I called to arrange collection, they said repairs were not undertaken and it would take another 3 weeks to do the work, which they said was about 2 hrs work. Last year it was about the same. It's Easter on Friday and we had planned to go away. What very poor service. I would go elsewhere if you can. And they need chasing to even tell you what is happening.

Purchased a new Coachman 660 GTS from Newport Caravans. Great service from first contact, great PX offer and caravan hand over was excellent. Even though this dealer is 150 miles away from us we will use them for servicing and will purchase from them again.
Staff all very friendly & helpful.

I had booked in my caravan to have a Maxview Roam fitted. Owen and his colleague were really professional and laid back making me feel at ease. They explained exactly what they were going to do with the install. Once finished I had a call from Owen to say it was all done. The guys even hitched my caravan for me so that I could just pull out. Great service, great customer journey. Will definitely use Newport Caravans again. Many thanks.

Rang the service dept regarding an issue with a Lunar whose first question was “did you buy the caravan from us?”. Answer = no, then they were totally disinterested in my problem. Said they would get back to me with a price but didn’t take any details whatsoever?, so I guessed they wouldn’t reply. Sure enough, no price was forthcoming despite chasers, so I took my £2k business elsewhere and now I won’t buy a caravan from them on the basis of their customer service. (As it happens I am looking to change my van next season for a new one). Newport Caravan’s loss, not mine. Get a grip and shake up your service dept before it’s too late.

We recently collected our van after extensive repairs to the wheel arch and caravan wall. The van was presented in excellent condition with no visable signs of any work having been undertaken.
Body shop staff very knowledgeable and obliging. They made sure we were completely happy with everything and also advised that any problems we were to contact them.
This was not necessary as excellent repairs had been carried out.

We recently bought an awning there and the customer services was excellent. We were served by a lady who was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable.

Our caravan, our third bought from Newport Caravans in 2019, developed a fault just before the guarantee was about to expire! No problem, this was found and rectified within time. Whilst the van was in the Workshop there were a couple of other problems which needed attention (not covered by guarantee) but these were sorted without charge. Whenever my wife and I visit Newport Caravans we enjoy the experience and are treated as friends by the staff old and new – thank you. Happy to recommend this company.

Purchased a Hubi Solarhub 10k just now for an advertised on the item sticker price of £215. Paid at the till for this and some other items and noticed I'd been charged £240 for this item instead of £215.

I was told in no uncertain terms by the 'friendly' Assistant Retail Sales Manager that I could refund the whole thing and that she didn't have to sell it, she could merely remove it from the shelf.
This is after I've purchased it and have a contract with Newport Caravans.

"oh we've had a price rise'' was her answer and there's not a chance she was refunding the £25.

I was informed that ''she knew the law'' but unfortunately I also know the law and own two retail stores.

Reporting to Trading Standards as we speak.

I will point out the original salesperson who served me was lovely and a credit to the company.

We have used Newport Caravans Ltd, on numerous occasions and each time, Mark and his staff in the workshop have been exceptional.

(1) Work was carried out to an extremely high standard
(2) All staff are very friendly and were happy to spend
time, making sure that we new how to operate
all of the additions added to our motorhome.

We will be returning to have more work done, safe in the knowledge that everything will be completed to an extremely high standard.

We purchased a 2015 models Swift Sprite caravan in August, collection early September. Rhod and the team were efficient and helpful at all stages of the transaction. 2 weeks in the Lake District later in September and 3 faults came to light. The team at Newport Caravans took the van back for a week and corrected all faults without hesitation and fully under warranty. Ben was efficient from the first call.

I have dealt with many caravan dealers in my life and have no hesitation in recommending Newport Caravans thoroughly. We will definitely return to p/x and purchase again in a few years when we plan to upgrade.

My wife and I recently bought a caravan from Newport Caravans and our experience has been first class. We dealt with Ben who has been really great. They made the entire buying process really smooth and simple. Ben accommodated our requests, made arrangements for some extra equipment to be fitted to the caravan and has been very patient with us (we moved from a Motorhome to a caravan) despite the millions of questions we’ve asked!

We especially liked the pre delivery walk around video of the caravan. What a great idea! It saved so much time when we collected the caravan and I’ve still got the link to refer back to if I get stuck in the future.

My wife and I are absolutely delighted with the caravan. The standard it was been prepared to is nothing short of exceptional. Our previous Motorhome purchase was from a dealer in The Midlands and it took a fair amount of cleaning to bring it up to our standards, and we thought this was probably the norm when buying a used vehicle. Not so at Newport Caravans. The caravan was immaculate from top to bottom…even down to the toilet cassette. It quickly became apparent that all the cleaning gear we have was not going to be needed!

After leaving a number of messages to get a price on a new Elddis campervan, I didn't receive a single reply. I eventually visited the showroom and got a price. Their price was not competitive and they couldn't supply the colour I wanted (black) so I purchased elsewhere. I called them again with a Elddis warranty tv aerial job. Because I hadn't purchased from them, they weren't interested in the warranty work.
Six weeks ago I then asked them to supply and fit parking sensors, I'm still waiting for a reply. Overall, my experience with Newport Caravans is dire.

Recently visited agreed a deal on a used caravan told no need for deposit took all my details just sort out finance and let us know .
We rang back next working days in the afternoon then told sold the caravan to someone else ! Not even a apology or phone call very poor service!!!
Bought a new instead elsewhere their loss

Considering changing our caravan during the Covid pandemic lockdown was a challenge in itself. We contacted several dealers including some on our doorstep who took forever to get back to us. Scott’s almost immediate response to a speculative text from us immediately made us feel like valued customers. Quite a long way from home, almost 90 miles, but the video walk round of caravans we were interested in was far and beyond anything anyone else offered. The whole process was exciting and rewarding and we are delighted with our new Elddis Crusader Mistral. Thanks Scott, quality customer experience.
