Holiday cottage review
We highly recommend Norfolk cottages. They called me a few days before our holiday to explain a minor issue with the property, so it was nice to be informed beforehand. And the property we stayed in was of a very high standard.

Holly Cottage Holt is simply 5 star…
Holly Cottage Holt is simply 5 star accommodation for humans and dogs. Great location plenty of walks nearby and short drive to many beaches . Steep stairs to bedrooms may not suit everyone but stair gates and doors make this safe. We mixed up eating out at The Snug and cooking in relaxing in hot tub.

Great house, good location
A clean, well equipped house in a quiet village that is in easy reach of beautiful countryside and coast. This was our second visit to Chapel Cottage and it easily accommodated our family of 6 adults. It has a great garden to sit and watch the sun go down and sufficient parking (important on the narrow country roads).

Perfect break for our family
Perfect break, lovely cottage in a peaceful village with scenic views on your doorstep.
Note: No phone signal in & around the village, on any network. Wi-Fi in the cottage is ok though.

Seashells - East Norfolk Coast, Walcott
Seashells is a perfectly comfortable, clean bungalow with beautiful views. Access to the beach is a short 10 minute walk away, with fish and chips and ice cream to die for just a little further along the beach. Although a little sparse in the kitchen area we had everything we needed and were happy with the cleanliness of the bungalow. The conservatory was fabulous but does need a little TLC in some places, and could also do with having the key to the two side windows available to allow the breeze to blow through on hot days. Howevever, the biggest let down was the garden area. This is probably my number one priority when selecting holiday accommodation as we are accompanied by our dog, who likes to explore every inch of the garden. It has to be appropriate for him. The accommodation interior is always secondary when making my decision. The images on the internet showed a small, but secure, stunning little garden with a lovely corner seating area and netting around the fence as added security. The reality was massively different. The garden was overgrown with thistle type nettles and stinging nettles - not weeds - nettles. Because our dog likes to explore, this made things very difficult if we needed to retrieve him from the boundary as walkers and neighbours appeared. We were stung several times and the nettles made it impossible for us to safely grab the dog's collar to encourage him away as we would have been up to our elbows in stinging nettles. Despite this, the garden looked absolutely disgusting and in one place the bunch of nettles was almost four foot high and right in the line of the sea view. They were far too thickly embedded to remove so I trampled them flat with my walking boots on, and hey presto the sea view appeared and could be enjoyed. The owner was in touch later in the week to inform us that a 'gardener' would be calling to view the garden to see what he could do with it. When I told the owner how disappointed I was with the garden on arrival and all the effort we had put in during our stay to make the garden more user/dog friendly and slightly more pleasant - he laughed at me down the phone and skirted around the issue not seeming very interested at all that he had sold one thing and we had received something totally different. When the 'gardener' arrived he was a very young man, riding a bicyle, carrying a rucksack - which he said would be needed to transport his gardening tools to the job as the owner suggested he might 'pull up a few weeds'. The owner is delusional if he thinks that his only problem is a few weeds. This week was a tester for next year, in that if we liked it we would regularly return in the summer for 2 weeks instead of one. Needless to say we will not be returning - not just because we don't want to risk arriving to a overgrowth of stinging nettles, broken fences and non existent furniture, but also because the most disappointing of all was the attitude of the owner - to have your comments disregarded as meaningless is one thing - to be actually laughed at is quite another.
Great family House
Lovely large house with lots of space for everybody and a large enclosed garden for the dogs. The owners were very helpful when we had a problem and this was sorted out without any hassle. One small thing could really do with more coat hangers in the bedrooms. Also not having a freezer and microwave in the kitchen was an inconvenience. Overall a very enjoyable holiday.
Pretty good all round.
The website was easy to use and booking was simple enough. Lots of communication at all stages so nothing was left to chance.
Fantastic space and facilities
Fantastic space and facilities. Pool is beautifully clean just be prepared for flies and wasps. We live in the country and are used to this but the problem at this property is off the scale. The maintenance team are fantastic for any problems that may arise and response time is exemplary
Orchard Cottage Norfolk a good dog friendly holiday
We booked our recent Norfolk holiday cottage via Norfolk Country Cottages. They were brilliant, so informative and with regular updates, not only at the beginning but also at the end of the holiday. The Cottage itself delivered on expectations of location, cleanliness and equipment, as well as being dog friendly with a lovely secure garden with incredible views. The bonus being a dog friendly pub/restaurant in easy walking distance. We will go again, and go through Norfolk Cottages. Highly recommended.

Excellent location
Excellent location, close to shingle beach and also woodland. Lovely and quiet with lots of wildlife, deer, foxes and buzzards to name but a few. The Old Barn was open plan and spacious, but felt it was in need of a spring clean (lots of cobwebs) and spruce up paintwork both interior and exterior. Very comfortable super king bed.
