We were given a Dodge Durango in Miami on June 13, instead of “full size” SUV we booked and paid for. It claimed it would be a Ford Expedition or Jeep Wagoneer or similar. They had no other choice f... See more

Horrible Experience. No thanks. Never again...
The arrangement was to fill up the gas tank when we returned it. We filled it up. We have a receipt. And topped it off. The attendant/employee said were were 2 gallons short. We also have not only the receipt but also took a picture of the fuel marker dashboard showing it is full.
Wish there was negative stars to be able to attribute. Jose, combative with me also. Bad customer service. They ended up charging us 2 gallons of gas still.
Thank Goodness we paid for the insurance, because who knows what might have happened. No thanks...
Nu Car Rental is the biggest rip off
Nu Car Rental is the biggest rip off, Hidden fees will double what you think you are paying, in Phoenix they are also off site so you have to shuttle to pick up car and wait in line for a long time, STAY AWAY FROM NU CAR RENTAL
If I could rate this a no star I would
If I could rate this a no star I would. The worse experience ever. We arrived in Tampa Bay, Fl May 5th, 2026, and first our mistake didn't realize they weren't in the airport they were off ground. Waited for a shuttle to shuttle us to the dumpiest place with not a car we ordered. Had to upgrade which cost another 300 bucks. Then the insurance deal wasn't as stated online, the tolls they charged us extra for and stated online 2 drivers and could only have one or pay more. Very rude the receptionist had attitude talked like she had crap in her mouth. Then when we returned the car, we were told to have it back by noon which we did, plus we called to tell them we were coming so they could have someone ready to shuttle us to the airport, we get there so unorganized and no one to take us. She then stated she would ask her boss if she could take us and never came outside to let us know she wasn't able to do so. We went inside and told her she could have told us at this time we're getting nervous we will miss our flight, so we call Lyft to come and get us, another charge for us. Lyft driver very pleasant we just made our flight if we would have waited another minute we would have missed the fight. Please do not rent from Priceline they use 3rd party places and it's all bad. I have learned to NEVER rent a car from both places.
Worst experience ever. Price gouging
Worst experience ever.
Do not book here.
It is set up so that no matter the clients' degree of preparedness, insurance, top credit card and pre-paid status, the client will be charged hundreds of dollars more for in stealth fees.
In addition, a deposit of $2000 is required unless the client pays a non-refundable fee.
They do not care if the client leaves without their reserved car. They just smile through the repeated gouging attempts.
Worst experience ever. If you have deep pockets and a yearning to be ripped off, then go here.

Abdessamad served us really good and car is clean and new . I love the ride .
I had a very diapointing experience…
I had a very diapointing experience with NU Car Rentals. I booked my rental through Priceline for $158.04. Upon returning from my trip and recociling my credit card statement I noticed an additional charge of $159.27. After calling customer seervice, I was told the extra charge was for insurance coverage and refuel that I had already declined.
I specifically declined their insurance cause I am already covered through both my credit card and my personal auto insurance policy. I also refueled the vehicle prior to return. Despite this, the charges were still added. This feels misleading and extremely frustrating, especially when customers are trying to budget based on the quoted booking price.
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN RENTING FROM THIS COMPANY AND DOUBLE-CHECK EVERY CHARGE BEFORE LEAVING THE COUNTER. TRANSPARENCY AND HONORING CUSTOMER SELECTIONS SHOULD BE A BASIC STANDARD.
Terrible
Terrible. My flight was delayed. I called and emailed telling them I would be picking the car up later than the original time but would still pay for the same number of days. They refused and said they would not honor the reservation but they would “help me” with the cancellation. Then they threatened to charge me a no-show fee. Because my flight was delayed.
I wish it was possible to give zero…
I wish it was possible to give zero stars.
Arrived at the counter at the LAX Renaissance Hotel to find it completely closed, with no notice about how to contact them. Hotel staff said to go to the other desk on the 4th floor. No one there, office was wide open. There was a sign with instructions to text a number for info. Got a response that the agent would be back in 10 minutes. Waited for an hour, along with another couple.
No way to contact by phone.
Finally called a reputable company to get another car and called my credit card to get a refund.
Avoid this company at all costs.

loss damage waiver lied to and deceived
I stated 3 times i did not want the insurance, then when it came to signing the documents i was told it would be waived when the car was returned.
i have attempted to resolve this but keep getting the run around. i asked if i could speak to a manager at the Denver location and i was told they don't have a phone there. I see several others have had this issue as well they must train the employees to do this. i was told they have audio and video of every transaction i nor my bank can get a copy.

Bad Service over a Video Call
I was immediately put off by the fact that when you get to the office to rent the car, you deal with someone sitting in another country and is on a video call with you! Then they ask for a copy of your auto insurance. Of course, I did not know I had to show proof of insurance. Most rental car companies just need to know the name of your insurance company. It took about an hour for me to get a copy and submit it to NU. So it took too long just to get the car keys. It was ridiculous. Awful service and it should be disclosed BEFORE you rent the car that you will need to show proof of insurance. Will never rent from them again. (I rented from the Nashville location of NU.)

I rented a car for 3 days in advance on…
I rented a car for 3 days in advance on Orbitz for a trip to Phoenix, Arizona for a wedding. I foolishly accepted the "manager special" mystery car and found out that the vehicle reserved for me was a ten person tourist van-bus...... the type of vehicle for a small church choir. I complained and asked for anything else like a sedan truck or suv and I asked to speak to the manager and was told that he was out to lunch. I had no choice but to accept the BMW "upgrade" and get on my way to the wedding in Sedona. I called customer service as I left the lot and complained and was told they would do something to help me when I returned the car. Another lie. The "upgrade" was another $94. Upon returning the car, I called customer service.Does find some kind of remedy to the situation. The agents talked down to you and then gaslight you and make it sound as if you are being rude for complaining in the first place and talk over you. I stayed calm and tried to explain that they were doing nothing to help or assist me with the situation. Like the rest of you, I have found countless negative reviews on countless websites and seen that a lawsuit has been filed with the Arizona Attorney General for bait and switch tactics against the company.
They are just absolutely the worst and the unprofessional behavior is disgusting. I will be disputing with my credit card company and obviously will make the intelligent choice of never renting with this company again ever.
Look at all the other reviews on countless websites and do the smart thing and don't rent with this company. It's going to be way more of a headache than any of you deserve.

Do Not Rent from this company
Knew it was too good to be true that it was only $7/day. The place to pick up the car was off site from the airport so we had to be shuttled there. Once there, there was no one in-person to talk to, they tried to force you into buying extra liability insurance---it didn't matter if you would tell them you had plenty of coverage from your insurance company, and they would put a $1,000 hold on your credit card. This company is a big scam! Do not rent a car from them. So we went next door to another company and was able to rent one from them without a hitch.

SCAM
SCAM… SCAM… SCAM…
This company is running a blatant bait-and-switch. I booked a $140 rental through Capital One Travel and ended up paying over $500.
They forced me to buy a $124 “mandatory” insurance I’ve never heard of, even though I already had full coverage. After a long trip, they clearly count on customers being too exhausted to argue.
Then they hit me with a $263 charge after return—$13 in tolls and a ridiculous $250 “processing fee” they never disclosed. They also failed to mention I couldn’t use my own E-ZPass.
Cheap advertised prices are just a trap. Avoid this company at all costs.
I have filed a complaint with Capital One Travel requesting they remove this provider from their platform, and I will continue pursuing further action to have them delisted from other reputable websites.

I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with NU Car Rentals at their Denver location. The vehicle I received was not provided with a full tank of gas, despite the contract clearly stating that it would be.
Because of this, I was forced to stop and refuel immediately late at night on my way up the mountain, alone with three young children, which was both stressful and completely avoidable. I have documentation showing I purchased gas the same day as pickup.
Despite providing proof and explaining the situation to customer service, my claim was dismissed with no accountability. I still returned the vehicle with a full tank as required, yet was left covering the cost of their mistake.
This lack of transparency, poor customer service, and disregard for customer safety is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend choosing a different rental company to avoid similar issues.

NEVER RENT FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY!
NEVER RENT FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY!! We booked a car with advanced website confirmed payment of $80 US dollars. When we arrived at their counter to pick-up the car, we were told by their rather uninterested clerk the total would be $189, thus having to pay extra for mandatory insurance. When inquiring why, they plainly replied that prices on their website does not represent reality!!! PLEASE do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. THEIR FALSE REPRESENTATION IS TO LURE YOU IN!!

Nu Rentals Positive Experience!
Edhi Lima was extremely professional and a great representative of Nu Rentals. She went above and beyond to make our experience of picking up and dropping off our rental vehicle first class. Everything was extremely smooth!

Avoid at all costs. They scam you
Avoid at all costs.
They scam you badly and provide shockingly terrible vehicles.
In my case there was no office at the pick up location. I called them and they brought me in a so called office (horrible place with a tiny desk and space for no more than one client).
Once I tried to leave a deposit on my credit card they told me that the card was not working. I gave them another one and they told me that was not working either. I called my two banks and both told me that there was absolutely no problem with my 2 cards.
They asked for 3 time more than what I had already paid to reduce the deposit and allow me to kake the vehicle.
Whilst I was calling my banks a customer after me had exactly the same problem.
The vehicle was all damaged on the outside and fumes entering the seating area when driving.
I had 3 children with me and we add to drive for 8 hours. And being in Morocco I had no other option than progressing despite it all.
---- After 2 months they have now reached me asking for some information. No compensation, no remedial action, huge delays in noticing the review and reaching me. Continued horrible experience.

WORST RENTAL CAR COMPANY EVER!
WORST RENTAL CAR COMPANY EVER!
Rented from these guys 3 weeks ago. Tried to pressure us in to using their mandatory toll system. Total scam. Would have added $250. Pressure to use their overpriced insurance. Another hassle to show them we were insured already. Vehicle was very old (50,000 miles). Oldest I have ever seen for a rental. The sun visor fell off multiple times in traffic. Very poor service at pick up and drop off. Was a big hassle to get anyone to find the vehicle, look over the van and inspect on drop off.
AVOID THIS PLACE.

Stay as far away from this company as…
Stay as far away from this company as possible. They are running a textbook predatory scam.
I arrived with a perfectly valid credit card for the security deposit—the same card I used without a single issue at another rental agency and various shops the exact same day. However, their machine miraculously 'had no connection' or 'refused the transaction.'
This is a blatant lie and a forced-sales tactic. They intentionally use faulty terminals (or fake connectivity issues) to claim your card is rejected so they can force you into buying their 'premium' insurance at an astronomical daily rate. If you don't pay their ransom, they won't give you the car, and you’re left stranded.
It is a dishonest, calculated maneuver to exploit travelers. They aren't in the business of renting cars; they are in the business of intimidation and credit card fraud.

Please do not use this rental company
Please do not use this rental company. I just had a horrible experience with them regarding the extra charges on the rental agreement that were never explained to me. And the underhanded way they get you to pay $400 for insurance. My original rental price was $76.95. Final cost $481.55 Plus the $400 for the insurance, the cost of which was never revealed to me. $841.55. That's a lot higher than $76.95 for 3 days. I'm a nobody, but I'll tell everyone I know not to use this company. Maybe this will save one person from going through what I'm going through.
