Still a student
Still a student. I've paid in full. Mailing in Homework like it's 1980 sucks. I feel that my learning is 0 to none. I do have a great instructor but only have spoken to her once in one year. My time is running out because of mailing back and forth. I resubmitted homework a minth ago and still no response.
Happy Happy happy
Very pleased with my experience with Trustpilot i would definitely recommend this to a friend or an acquaintance!

I would recommend NYIAD to my frends and anyone.
Good until the end...
Up until the very end, I had a good experience. Once I completed my my course, i found out I had not really completed the course. When I first started the course in 2015 NYIAD was using a different program for submitting the program (HighTail). So I had already submitted the assignment but wasn't given credit for it. I have since re-submitted the assignment but still waited for it to be graded.
Such a great online school
Such a great online school. I definitely recommend. Teachers are helpful and easy to contact if you need help.

I am doing this course via Australia but the turnaround time between sending off your assignment via mail is almost 10 weeks and if there is an issue with your assignment, you have to fix it and resubmit it and hence another 10 weeks before you can move on to your next task. I don’t understand why we cannot just email our work through? I have lost interest due to the process. As for content in this course, I think it is pretty good.

I have learnt a lot about interior design. It's a great experience for those who wants to start a professional career!
Great!
Great way to get your education when you are busy. Very interesting and educational material.
Great Structure But, always room for improvement...
My first impressions with NYIAD for Interior Design have been very pleasant. So far there haven't been any issues between communication and my first inquiry was taken seriously. My questions have been answered in a timely manner and my material has been mailed and received quickly. The work I'm doing is fairly challenging and I have been really getting me focused on my time management skills since I'm doing this while working full time. I've been able to accomplish 3 units within 3 months of being signed up.
Pros: Self paced, affordable price, easy to navigate website, excellent intellectual material, a great way to test your knowledge and push yourself outside of your comfort zone, a great way to transition into a different field without a graduate degree, and its been rewarding submitting projects and getting good grades because it's very time consuming. Course material is included in tuition. A great way to learn something new!
Cons: Can be very challenging If you don't have 4-8 hours a week/bi weekly to dedicate to drawing and painting, course work has to be re-read many times before you can digest what has been written and expected of you in the project. The way the information is presented is tedious because you have to keep going to a new page after 1-3 paragraphs so its easy to loose track while going from page to page. The videos are impersonal and way to long. There should absolutely be online quizzes after each section of a unit instead of the furniture quizzes that we mail, its very mundane. The instructor or instructors ( I'm under the impression it's just one instructor) is very impersonal with the videos and provides feedback via voice memo so you have to re-listen to it 10-15 times to make you make all the changes she requests. It would be more logical to have the feedback in an email where you can check off which has been completed or not. Mailing process is also time consuming between the window of mailing out, grading, and returning, but that's the cost of online schooling.
Over all, I'm really enjoying this challenge right now, and if you have the time and the need for a career change, I would highly recommend! There is always room for improvement in everything we do in life and small changes will help future student learn better.
Great Way to Learn
I have really enjoyed the classes and being able to go at my own pace. I have really learned a lot as well.

Given the cost of the course I hesitated a bit before signing up. So very glad I did! I am learning so much ! Not just about how to arrange flowers but also an immense amount about my preferences and potential as a floral designer.
What I love the most is there is no pressure, no deadlines for assignments which allows me to pursue other activities. I am close to finishing my 2nd section and I started in December of 2018. I highly recommend this Company and their professionalism.
This program not only was expensive but…
This program not only was expensive but I completely lost interest after intense frustration, couldn’t understand many of the tasks and then when I write to a teacher for help I never get a response. I’m honestly disappointed.
My experience was OK
My experience was OK. I wish there were an easier way to submit projects. I lost my momentum waiting for stuff to come back. Also, I found that some of the instructors seemed to give different or confusing feedback. It's not quite accurate to say they contradicted each other, but it was sort of in that vein sometimes. Additionally, I found some of the feedback to be a little basic - for example, in my bedroom design, I had included larger round tables flanking my bed because I wanted something a little different - the instructor said I needed to put traditional nightstands in because of storage. My gut reaction to that is that the feedback is not very inspired. I decided 'if they want basic, I'll send them basic, just to get a better grade.' Probably not the message you want students getting. (To be fair, this instructor also gave me very relevant feedback on other aspects of the same project that I missed, which is important to note.) Also, it's not clear that I can actually call myself an interior designer as a result of completing this course, since this certification isn't recognized by ASID and doesn't qualify me to sit for the NCIDQ exam. So...that's disappointing. Overall, it was helpful to get a taste of interior design, but shouldn't be presented as giving you the qualifications to officially enter the world of interior design. A graduate of this course can call themselves a decorator to be sure, but that's not the same thing...
Great for New and Old Planners
This was a great start to getting on my own in wedding planning. The projects were definitely my favorite part as they all presented you with some challenge or problem you had to figure out.
NYIAD is an excellent institute…
NYIAD is an excellent institute providing good opportunities to the students in several new fields. Its online programmes are much easy to understand. I have learnt a lot from It. A big thanks to NYIAD.
It was worth the time.
Having been a writer for many years it was mostly review and a chance to brush up on a lot of stuff I already knew. But it was also a way to open my eyes to new avenues of thought that I hadn't experienced yet.
Worth every penny!
I loved the interior design course. It was great to be able to go at my own pace and it was very easy to follow. The instructors were very helpful and thorough with their comments.
My experience at NYIAD was amazing
My experience at NYIAD was amazing. The Student Advisor for the Interior Design Course, Janet Rahim is exceptionally patient and helpful. All other staff when I called for information and guidance were also helpful. The course material formatting and explanations makes it easy for someone who do not have the knowledge in the given area to understand.
Course highly recommended.
