Customers of Officialiphoneunlock.co.uk you have been warned!

I would like to share my experience with you guys because I believe it is quite unique in the unlocking world. The story began on 20 July 2018 (yes July 2018!) cost of the unlock £ 126.00. IMEI 353826081454077. So far so good. Months has passed fast, I have been emailing those guys (sales at officialiphoneunlock.co.uk) until I loose all my hope because I never got any reply from them. At today's date 10 December 2019 the order still shows as submitted to server and unlock in progress. Another small details that I noticed is there is always positive Trustpilot review on they website, never a negative review!!!! too perfect to be true, isn't it? How this is even possible???? There are better and cheaper service out there, don't let your money get caught in this trap. Copy and paste this on YouTube: 826MSYNXdH8

I used this site to unlock an I phone

I used this site to unlock an I phone. They give you a price to unlock take your money then say you have to pay more money to complete the unlock which was more than the phone is worth. USE THIS SITE AT YOUR PERIL.
Just read hundreds of reviews on this company to see just how many people they do this to .

I should have known better

I should have known better. I paid £12.99 and now they want another £42.00 which is a charge for my carrier. My phone is paid for & I’m on a sim only for £21.00 a month. So there is no reason for an additional charge. They have seen my review and not offered an explanation as to why, if there is a good reason they should explain. Please beware. I now found out my carrier (O2) will unlock my iPhone free of charge.

Hi Mark, sorry that you are not happy with the service, we supply unlocks for those customers that cannot go directly to the carrier, so in your case yes going directly will be the cheapest solution as you meet the criteria, I'm not sure that leaving us a 1 out of 5 is a fair score if you let u know once the device has been unlocked by O2 we can check that's the case and arrange a refund for you.

Very dissapointing

Very disappointed. Information is not clear. I was trying to unlock a very old I pad where the I cloud account had become locked we had used the i pad previously and so know it was not stolen. I paid an Initial payment of £20 only to be told it would cost a further £30 to unlock it. Total paid at this point £50. I was then told it would cost a further £49 to complete the unlock unless I had the receipt as proof of purchase (Would have been £99 but they offer a "voucher")
So am £50 out of pocket and I still have an i pad that does not work and i am not willing to pay another £50 and they wont refund as i don't have the original proof of purchase.
It is also very difficult to report a negative review for this company as they report negative reviews within minutes of them being posted.

Dont use this

Dont use this, its Complete waste of money.. paid initial money then they wanted more, reduced this then they wanted more money because apparently the device is blocked! Not possible as the device belonged to deceased father and he is not here to log it as lost/stolen and we have no access to his emails.
Do not use! You have been warned.

I paid to unlock my iphone last oct

I paid to unlock my iphone last oct. 24. The unlock progress already reached 100%. After that it says that “Overdue - this unlock is taking a little longer than normal, we are chasing this IMEI for you and have prioritised it. We will email you and update your status accordingly when it is unlocked.” i try to email them and ask long this will take because based on their website it will only them 2 to 10 working days to unlock, but in case its more than 1 month already and yet my phone is still not unlock. I only received the same email content everytime i try to email them.

REally FURIOUS and disappointed

I was looking to SIM unlock my Iphone X, they asked a pre-order payment (£17.99 22/July/2019) to analyze the unlock, after that they requested one additional payment (£103.00 24/July/2019) , finally they asked for a payment called "Fast Track" to put my "unlock order" in the top of the list (£12.99 29/Oct/2019) because my unlock was taking to long. Now I email them and have no response at all, I was claiming my money back guarantee that they promise in the webpage, It's almost 6 months since I made the unlock request, And I have nothing. IMEI 354842097864026.

Good service and fast BUT

Good service and fast, the unlock worked BUT - I consider their handling of the payments dishonest. They take a payment at first which appears to be the full payment, then demand an additional payment once the unlock is ready. At this point, it is not possible to drop the transaction and refund the initial payment. Effectively you are blackmailed into an additional payment..

They say that this is explained somewhere on their website - but I could not find it. .

Poor

Locked out of my own phone after setting it up and forgetting the passwords. I paid the initial amount for iCloud unlock. Then I was asked for more money which I did pay. Then I was asked for even more money. When will this stop? I even gave a receipt of purchase but was refused a refund.
Really poor.

I paid almost £60 for an unlock

I paid almost £60 for an unlock on my iPhone on November the 17th. It is now November the 25th and apparently my phone is 10% unlocked. It goes up about 1% each day. At this rate, it will be months before it is unlocked. For such an expensive price, you think they'd give you an estimated time so you know what you're buying? They keep offering me to upgrade to 'fast track' for an extra £9.99, but honestly why would I, when they don't even tell you how much faster it would be than their regular service? Ridiculous. Slow. Expensive.

IMEI 356731084224799

UPDATE: it is now 28/11, phone is a whole 16% unlocked. No contact from Official iPhone Unlock has been made to me regarding my query. Also, it actually cost £72.00.

Hi Emma, the time scales do not work like that, the time scales will be as advertised at your time of purchase it won't be months at all. What's the order IMEI please so I can check the order for you, you do not need to upgrade to the fast track, that's a service we put in place at our customers request but you don't have to use it.

I paid them $ 28 for their icloud…

I paid $ 28 for icloud unlock. They sent me an email to pay £ 30 more if I wanted the service. I requested my money back with reference to the money back guarantee. They replied that they did not refund the money because they had costs. I did not accept this, asked for company details, headquarters, tax number to report to the police for their unfair practices. They no longer responded to my email. This is proof that it is a scam!
