They Treat Potential Customers With Contempt!

We tried three times to have lunch here but failed every time, and it wasn't because they were busy! The last time we ate at the Old Bridge Inn was a few years ago. It was cold, damp and and the food unexceptional. However, we'd read good things recently and so decided to give it another try. We're old and not able to walk too far, so I thought it best to ring ahead and check they were serving lunch. Nobody answered the phone and there was no way to leave a message. Good job I checked their website: it said they would be closed on our preferred day due to "staff holidays", so we rescheduled for the next. Upon arrival, we found a sign on the door saying they were closed that day, too, due to a "scheduled power outage", so we'd had a wasted walk. The blackboard outside implied they would definitely be open at lunchtime on Friday, which was the last day of our holiday. We walked down again, the doors opened at noon, but we were told they were not doing food today because of some or other menu change or something. As if that was our problem! The hostess seemed disinterested in our inconvenience. It'll be another few years until we try this place again! BTW I can only enter one "Date of Experience" for this Trustpilot review, not three!
