I've enjoyed the food at Olive Garden for several years but recently I've noticed a decline in their waitstaff service. I feel as though the restaurant was severely understaffed which is likely why we... See more

Sad that I brought guests here
I just returned to Kentucky after living 5 years in a small town in Missouri. Friends from India who I hadn’t seen since I moved and their last visit from India called to meet up. They recalled their last visit here and enjoyed Olive Garden. The server was nice and we told her take her time we were not in a hurry. The food was barely warm but none of us said one word of complaint. As we completed our meal, the server picking up plates knocked over a full glass of water on me which seriously soaked my blouse and slacks. It was actually very cold. I accepted her apology, which was minimal and still left a good tip. I did not want to embarrass my guests. I’m just surprised that the server took it so lightly and no offer of compensation. After visiting this location for at least 30 years I’m doubting that I will return.
Olive Garden 🙁
Olive Garden has been an all around favorite of ours for years. But, lately with price increases it's just not worth it. I.e. - tour of Italy - the chicken was smaller than a value sized McDonald's chicken sandwich - the one like a small burger. The alfredo was a snack and the lasagna was the largest helping. But, it was a first that it wasn't filling and that none went home. The salad they brought out was half full and we had to ask for a full bowl.
The help is normally good there but this time around the girl offered to seat us at the bar for dinner even though there were ample tables and only one couple getting seated ahead of us. The waitress wore a mask which is fine, but she was muzzled when she spoke.
I can say for the $50 for 2 people just for the main dishes it's better now to buy pasta for $1, chicken for $2/lb, and eat at home and invite guests to eat too. Oh well. It's a sign of the times and we're not going back.
DELIVERY VS DINE-IN
I had DELIVERY due to Olive Garden's TV ad [ie, I was OVER THE MOON for delivery, since they weren't on Door Dash or GrubHub.] Unfortunately, not only did I NOT get silverware & napkins, but just like dining in the restaurant, there was NOT enough sauce on the spaghetti [tomatoes aren't THAT expensive!] At least when dining in, you can ask for extra sauce, but in their online ordering, you have to pay almost $5! Plus, there's no survey, after delivery, to rate the Uber Eats driver OR Olive Garden's food, which was FABULOUSLY DELICIOUS & HOT! Thank goodness for the FREE DELIVERY, ie, after 1 million orders, customers will be charged $4.99, I'll just DINE-IN, delivery was NOT worth it!
The greatest service
I love the Olive Garden delivery service. The orders come timely, are always accurate and absolutely delicious. They do a great job and it's a great service for the elderly. Thank you, Grossmont Olive Garden.
Beware of hidden fees/charges brfore ordereng delivery food items.
I have a bad back and didn't feel like standing and cooking dinner for myself. So, decided to order from Olive Garden in Lee's Summit, Missouri because advertised delivery was free. I ordered online the stuffed Chicken Marsala which I've had before and found it to be delicious. The delivery was by Uber and faster than initial estimated delivery. They must have different recipes for Chicken marsala because wasn't anything like I remembered when a customer ordering inside the restaurant. Before had two generous chicken breast filets separated with a large portion of garlic laced mashed potatoes with a separate portion of potatoes on the side. the order I received had substituted potatoes with a dressing like mixture in lieu of potatoes which was a bit dry and covered with very little marsala gravy. Disappointing as it was, I had little choice but to eat The biggest shock was the total bill...How can a $20.99 entree (garden salad and breadsticks included) become $32.26??? As I was creating my order, a notification appeared on each screen advising delivery would be free if code: OGDELIVERS were inserted at checkout. I entered this code as directed but afterward a notification appeared stating "discount had expired". How convenient! all along instructing insertion of this code would result in no delivery fee. Also I paid through Paypal...$32.26 to Olive Garden then I receive an additional $1.00 charge for "whatever" to the Darden Corporation???? Will probably never order delivery again without fully getting thorough explanation of what I'd be paying first. What in the heck was that additional dollar for????
Awful menu item
The service at the Bloomington Olive Garden was exceptional. Six of my party ordered different entrees. My grandson ordered Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo. We traded because he didn’t like it. I took a few bites..ugh. My son took it for lunch the next day because I couldn’t eat it. He said “Awful”
Only half the restaurant has been open…
Only half the restaurant has been open for years. I’m not waiting 30 minutes for mediocrity
Time to move on
If you want to give up an hour and spend $40 to waste your time. This is the place for you. I placed my order inside prepared to wait for my food because it’s decent and better than most fast food takeout. I specifically wanted the crispy chicken put in a separate container. Did they do that for both of my meals. Nope. It was all wrong. I think the only thing that was right was the breadsticks. I ended up taking it back inside and getting my money back. I used to be a regular well not anymore. I don’t waste time or money yet I did both today.

The order should be done by 7:00 pm.
We ordered chicken & Shrimp Carbonara $22.99
When I came home we had soup Toscana you never can get wrong with this. Excellent soup. After finishing soup Toscana we get to entree Chicken & Shrimp Carbonara. This is meal that we always order when we dine in. This time shrimp was missing. Meal was very dry and not tasty at all. Also noted the Mints were not in the bag too. Overall Soups are the best choice if you want to eat each time. Not sure where the Shrimp go? Possible was on Vacation who knows.

My daughter & I went to Olive Garden on…
My daughter & I went to Olive Garden on Hawthorne Bl in Torrance for Easter 2025. All employees were friendly. The food was delicious & plentiful ( I had grilled salmon; she had chicken alfredo.) Breadsticks were good, soup (faglio) fantastic. They gave us delicious mint flavored chocolates after.
I had ordered online for a pick up…
I had ordered online for a pick up order, food was cold. In the parking lot I grabbed a bread stick, the bread stick was cold. I went inside to let them know How nice they gave me instructions on how to heat them up at home. Really. I gave them a bad review for that experience. How awesome that I received a representative email back, was given a gift card. So wanting to go to Olive Garden last night, I took my Mom and Niece, what excellent food and service we received. And the staff couldn't have known anything because I didn't display the gift card until it was time to pay. Thank you Olive Garden for standing behind your service and food quality m
