Honestly, what can I say, Oliver and his team at Oportfolio have been simply brilliant in my re-mortgage/buy-out situation. The situation was extremely challenging and complex and the team at Oportfolio guided me through the process from beginning to end finding solutions across every hurdle we came across, providing weekly updates and always being helpful and fully supportive at the end of the phone to get the mortgage in place. Unfortunately, if you are looking to hire this firm to work on a challenging mortgage plan then this is not it! Our situation was slightly challenging but not impossible. Jade (mortgage adviser) gave the assurance that she was able to help but unfortunately failed to deliver. In the end the actual mortgage offers were way off than the initial offer advised by Jade, to the point where it would financially impact us.
We asked her to apply for another lender and she wasn't 100% honest about the mortgage requirements and as a result this was denied. When we questioned the reasons behind her decisions the only response was denial and she did everything she can, which wasn't the case.
What's very shocking is her manager, Oliver who sent out a nasty email and was extremely rude to us and went into complete defensive mode.

Unfortunately, the firm doesn't have the capabilities to work on more challenging mortgages but the service towards the end was very unprofessional and if you don't agree with their approach they will get rude to you!

My experience with Oportfolio is always a pleasure. This is the third time i have renewed my mortgage with them and every time they find the best deals. I always feel I receive the best advice. They are extremely efficient and ensure the deal is closed in the quickest time to make the process as painless and ensure the best deal is secured.
