I cannot recommend this company!
I cannot recommend this company. I gave it one star but in truth it doesn’t deserve any. I am virtually blind in one eye and at my initial examination I was told I couldn’t have a multifilament lens but was given to believe that a bifocal one was possible. When I saw the surgeon he made it clear only a single lens was suitable for me. I cancelled my surgery and they refused to return my deposit.

Dumbarton store Bernice the…
Had an eye appointment with Bernice the optician at the Dumbarton store. From calling to book the appointment to choosing glasses, staff were extremely professional and had a wonderful patient calming presence. I was offered a free consultation for laser eye surgery. They even squeezed my pretend in for an eye exam on the spot which is unheard of. I usually go to Specsavers in Dumbarton but I would not hesitate in choosing the Optical Express store in future.

Got there in the end.
I had had quite a few problems in the lead up to my treatment, and on the morning of. But when I got there on the day and explained they did everything they could to rectify the problems. The treatment itself was good and my surgeon was lovely. I'm less than 24 hours after my treatment so my vision is still blurry but I'm looking forward to my 20/20 vision!

Refund We were told by one of your employees a refund would take 10 days so I think your employee need more training
Stay well clear of this company they take your deposit and when you cancel your operation three days later they say you will get a refund in 10 days still haven’t received it so I phoned and now they say it could take 28 days unbelievable

Go with your gut
I was very excited to attend my consultation appointment but they rang me a week before saying the time had been changed and that the optometrist cannot speak with me in person but rather over video call. I found this really disheartening as laser eye surgery is such a big decision and this didn’t make me feel like I would be in safe hands. When I called back to say I didn’t want to go ahead as this had given me a bad impression of the company i.e. if they can’t even organise appointments then it didn’t reassure me trusting them with my eyesight. I’m now feeling like I might’ve dodged a bullet and will be seeking a company with better customer service and care as this company very much seems like a conveyor belt model. The call handler was also aggressive and patronising on the phone which helped me feel certain that I didn’t want to spend my money here.
