Excellent experience. I realised I had not received some contact lens for a while and that an eye test & contact lens assessment was due. Mohammed was really efficient in getting me an appointment organised at short notice. I also had a meeting to attend and needed some lens to tide me over which he sourced for me and made available to collection. He also called me back afterwards to make sure I knew the surgery had moved to a new location. Lovely to deal with and great service. Thanks

I under went eye lense replacement surgery yesterday, at Meadowhall. Surgeon Ann-Marie. I was booked in at 08.30, I arrived about 08.15. Greeted by a smiling friendly team, reassured and a thorough explanation of what would be happening and when. Eyes were again tested, then drops were administered. Then a bit of waiting upstairs. Re met Ann-Marie who double checked the plan, and asked again if i had any questions. More drops, tests, hair net on, and I was ready. Taken to the operating room laid down, more drops, lovely friendly people again, constantly reassuring me. Then Ann-Marie came in and started. More drops, my face was covered apart from 1st eye, which was clamped open, more drops, 10 minutes later, eye 1 complete. Ann-Marie goes out to re scrub, her team changes too, each eye is a separate operation and treat like it. 2nd eye took slightly longer 12 or 13 minutes, then done. I was taken to a new room and a lovely male staff member talked me through the aftercare, in minute detail. Very patient, letting me ask questions at anytime. No pain at all. I was picked up by my husband brought home, where I slept for a few hours, then started with the every 2 hours drops. I just rested my eyes as much as I could, whilst completing the drops every 2 hours until I went to bed for the night. This morning still no pain, no need for any painkillers. I have been for my 1st checkup, my eyes are doing great, they say there is still a bit of normal swelling that can be seen through the equipment they use. I am already seeing like I did in my glasses before the operation. I have to remind myself i dont have any glasses on! Today I was told once the swelling has all gone, my vision will be even better. I am so thankful for Kerry at Leed White Rose, who did not pressure me into this surgery, just left me with all relevant information and let me contact her, once I was 100% I wanted to commit. She is friendly, supportive and honest. The only negative throughout this whole process is one female member of staff at LWR. When I asked for her name over the phone to make a complaint, she refused to give it to me, she told me there are a few female Asians that work there and hung up on me. This was one week before my booked surgery! She needs to train in customer care and how to deal with clients. Everything else ( and tbh everything else is the really important bits) went amazing. I can't tell you how great it feels to be typing this, with no glasses on, I cooked dinner and I could see the numbers on the oven dial! First time without glasses in forever. If you are thinking of this type of surgery, go with Optical express, they really know their stuff and I can see why they are market leaders. We are saving up now for my husband to get it next. Surgery was Saturday 13th May.

My overall experience with optical express has been very good. I initially went to the Wolverhampton practice to see if I was eligible for the eye surgery, I was welcomed by patient advisor Bhavna. She was very polite and informative and made me feel at ease. I went back home to think about if I wanted the surgery and you will receive many calls from optical express advisors over this time, however they are from the main centre. I eventually booked through one of the phone advisors who booked three different appointments for me. The only down side was he made a couple of mistakes with my appointments and slightly messed up my finance amount so ended up having to pay a larger deposit amount. However, I went for my surgery in Birmingham and my surgeon and the nurses were very good, they put me at ease! As I was very nervous. The only downside was the Birmingham receptionist, she was slightly rude on my return appointment the next day. Very unwelcoming and had a slight attitude. Overall I am happy with the service I received but there could be some improvements.

Didn’t have to wait long and Hayley & Ana kept me informed with everything that will happen, from the tests alto the conversation with the surgeon. Once I had gone through everything, I felt they communicated the available procedures and how much they will cost, very well. The service was excellent and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to know more about corrective eye surgery

The entire experience has been faultless and all the staff and medical team have been friendly and professional always taking the time to listen and respond to my questions or concerns.
I had my lens replacement surgery yesterday and was a bit nervous beforehand and again all of the staff put my mind at rest.
The procedure itself was entirely painless , slightly surreal with the colour of the lights.
Afterwards a slight dull headache and today at my 24 hr consultation my eyesight was a line better that 20/20
Amazing experience and my eyesight is still improving and sharpening up.
If anyone is unsure about having this procedure carried out or is concerned about the surgery being painful there is no need based on my experience.
Ten out of 10 Optical express thank you.

Fantastic appointment, very friendly welcome! Laila completed my pre assessment test which were thorough and she explained everything as we progressed. I had a very detailed eye examination with Amanda who again explained all the steps to the process. Finally I met with Dimple who walked me through the surgery process, explained all the costs and options available to me.
I would recommend the team at optical express uk to anyone. I personally cannot wait to have the freedom to be glasses free!!

Had a great experience with the team in Nottingham, from start to finish it was really good. Was recommended to Optical Express from a close friend and his story helped me take the plunge. Definitely a costly experience but if you can afford it you should do it. My sight has been diminishing as I've aged and this has really changed my life so far, early days but I've had no pain and have been looked after very well and can't be happier with the service. Great team, great result, made me feel comfortable and relaxed from the start.

From my first consultation 21st of May greeted with coffee and biscuits They mean the business with a very thorough eye examination every thing explained in detail. Got a phone call on the 1st of June from the clinician any questions answered Surgery date set for 10th of June 9.30am same again every Thursday everything explained in great detail. The day of the surgery came I was a bit nervous but they soon have you at ease less than thirty minutes later both eyes done yes it's that quick.I would say 1 hour and fourty five minutes later every thing checked back in the taxi on my way home The rest of the day both eyes covered with clear shields I could tell then the difference The next morning wow vision almost perfect for better by the hour appointment at Manchester One for a check up 20/20 vision well above driving standards. All I can say is the staff at Bridgewater wellness clinic the surgeon are top notch and Manchester One especially Suzanne excellent coffee every time and so polite the service you get is the best from start to finish Thank you all so much.
