er Danmarks dynamiske og brugerdrevne onlineordbog. Dynamisk fordi vi hver dag tilføjer nye ord til ordbøgerne. Brugerdreven fordi de mest søgte ord bliver føjet til ordbøgerne først. Vi tilbyder i øjeblikket over 80 ordbøger, og der kommer hele tiden flere til.

I had a little problem with the dictionary working offline in the beginning, but I got technical support very fast and they solved the problem promptly.
Thank for the chance of having my favourite danish dictionary anytime, anywhere!! I love it! Best diccionaries I've seen in the market.
When taking both price and quality into account, there is no better basic dictionary.
Ordbogen.dk offers the only affordable but comprehensive Danish-English dictionary on the market. Period. Other large DA<>EN dictionaries, such as those with red covers, are extraordinarily expensive, and those other pricey dictionaries often lack well-coded searchable e-dictionaries or online versions. By contrast, Ordbogen.dk has a very large searchable lexicon that covers most fields well to very well. One other thing I like is that, when I detect an error in a translation or English example, Ordbogen fixes errors within a day or two after I report it by e-mail. This responsiveness is another thing that sets Ordbogen apart. Now, I do have some qualms: (1) The offline version is not well coded and has a clunky weird interface, so I can't actually recommend that as strongly as I do the online version. (2) American English is treated a bit too "second class" by the dictionary. This problem is noticeable from time to time when it comes to idioms and slang; the fact is, UK English and US English are not merely spelled differently but also differ grammatically and terminologically. US English isn't a minor form of English, either: 315 million people speak it! That is five times as many native speakers as there are of UK English. To be fair, this is a problem in all Danish-English dictionaries, not just Ordbogen, but a long-term goal should be to improve inclusion and integration of US English into the lexicon. This would also differentiate Ordbogen from Gyldendals even more. Overall, however, Ordbogen is an outstanding product available at an outstanding price.
Understandably most of ordbogen's services are aimed at Danish speakers but I think the site could do with an English version and more detailed descriptions of the products as I was misled once or twice requiring a refund. Customer service could have done with reminding me of the option to try out the dictionaries once or twice on the main website if you do not log in. I simply hadn't noticed the option to choose which dictionary to search in unfortunately. The automatic subscription also started a day early which I imagine was to make sure there was no break in service but I did not know about this and paid once too much as a result.
The Ensk-Norsk dictionary also displays only blank characters at the top of the entry for me as well but the rest of the entry displays properly. For example under tegn only this appears at the top with the only difference between entries being what the first letter of the searched word is: t[t] t Se også: t . Under hear is displayed h[h] h Se også: h . The Dictionary of Current Danish (Politikens) displays some of the characters as %% marks in the etymological entries and I don't think this is supposed to happen.
The main dictionaries themselves are good but could do with being better able to deal with inflected forms and compounds. Some words are only available with Danish definitions in another bigger dictionary rather than the English-Danish dictionary. I especially value the ordbogen offline programme with is fast and has good onscreen display options with are good touches that increase the day-to-day practicality greatly namely the programme window being able to stay above other windows despite switching between other windows and the ability to lock the window to the side of the screen with the other windows being pushed out. I think the ordbogen online extension needs work, it would be much better if ordbogen provided an app that brought up simple and short pop ups on words that were double clicked than the current way of bringing up the context menu to bring you to the website (Google dictionary is similar to what I mean). I would greatly value such an app.
The service I have received from customer support so far has satisfied my expectations. I would like the issues with the Norsk-Engelsk dictionary sorting out though please and the %% marks in the etymology entries looking at.

I am more than satisfied with the dictionary, in every sense of the word. It is fast, user-friendly and rich with examples, too. You don't even have to switch between languages, it detects the right translation as you type.in the words. (unlike other dictionaries I have used so far)
So it's most practical.
I use it daily on the smartphone and on PC while writing emails / SMS.
I think I've had access to ordbogen.com for about a year now and I absolutely love it. I have always been able to get a hold of customer support when I needed and they're polite and efficient. Highly recommend.
I was satisfied with the system, it was clear, easy to use and fast. I can mention only one difficulty during the ordering process: I have not found an English version of the website. I would like to use the dictionary to learn Danish, so I don't understand the language yet. I think it is a common problem, so it can be useful to make a short English version of the webpage.

Hello!
Thank you so much for the great software and dictionaries! they are fantastic. I'm learning Danish and can't imgaine my life any more withour your dictionaries.
I also have some wisches, which would malke me even more happy.
I'm constantly using iPad and iPhone apps to access the dictionaries. There are two setting I always need to adjust:
1. The selection of dictionaries: I have accces to ca. 16 dictionaries, but actually need acces to only 5 of them. So I select those 5.
2. The size of text: I always make it bigger as default size.
Unfortunately, as I restart app, I have to make these adjustments again, since they are resetted for some reason after the restart.
Could you please make the change in the apps, so that those two settings are persisted and remain the same independent of the restarts?
Thank you and with kind regards,
Igor Terzi
