Great app/service. But iOS/PadOS app could use a little updating.
I subscribe to ordbogen.com to be able to read books in Danish and I am very satisfied with the subscription service. When I had a problem with special characters in my password at the beginning... See more

I wish I could give a minus rating to them. There is a mess in the support. I canceled my account and again and again I have been charged for the subscription fee. I emailed them, they replied with... See more
er Danmarks dynamiske og brugerdrevne onlineordbog. Dynamisk fordi vi hver dag tilføjer nye ord til ordbøgerne. Brugerdreven fordi de mest søgte ord bliver føjet til ordbøgerne først. Vi tilbyder i øjeblikket over 80 ordbøger, og der kommer hele tiden flere til.

The Danish-English dictionary is very good, I use it every day and is very satisfied.
The Danish thesaurus is not recommendable though. Has so few synonyms I regret the purchase.
It's quicker and easier to look up Ordbogen than it is to look up the Gyldendals Store Røde Ordbøger on my computer because the latter requires switching back and forth from English to Danish depending on which language the word is in while the former gives you both options simultaneously.
On the minus side, Ordbogen is definitely less comprehensive than Gyldendals. For example, I wanted to look up the Danish for 'reference work'. When I looked up 'reference' in Ordbogen, it failed to give me 'opslagsbog', which Gyldendals listed.
In general, Ordbogen can improve a great deal in its coverage of the different ways words are used.
General translations English-Danish-English are good, but often lacking or insufficient are the special uses common to medical scientific English, my field. And too, the English translations of official Danish agencies and government and local institutions are seldom available.
I am very satisfied, and would gladly recommend the site to other teachers, or privae people in need of an online-dictionary.
Your website continuously improves not only with many more entries, but becomes easier to move around in. Am totally satisfied.
And that is all i need. I like the small program you can download so you don't have to login everytime you need a word.
Ordbogen is the best place to go for Danish-English definitions. It is generally reliable but needs to keep up with technical terms.
I MISS lots of translations. There ara quite MANY not there.
Thougt the text on the side tells that at some point the word will be translated it takes time. to much time and not when needed or in a day or two days.
Ordbogen is very usefull in my daily work as a researcher.
ordbogen.com is a great online service; easy and straightforward to purchase and use.
The actual content of the service, however, i.e. the dictionary - in my case the English-Danish version - could still benefit from further refinements in order to serve more advanced users. I often find the words that I look up to be absent from the ordbogen.com dictionary and I then have to consult an English-English dictionary else where, which I find frustrating due to the money already paid to ordbogen.com and the extra time spent finding the right term.
Furthermore, I often find that specific words are absent in the Danish-English translation but present the other way round - and vice versa. This seems to indicate that ordbogen.com could benefit from some sort of cross-referencing.
Finally, I find that a thesaurus listing words in groups of synonyms and related concepts would be a great supplement to the dictionary.
