So far so good. Applies and covers well even on a variably damp wall, including new plaster. A bright Matt white paint. (Other colours available). But will it be suitably breathable?

This order was sent out on schedule to the given address, but for some reason Parcelforce had issues and ended up returning back to us. We then reshipped a new order on the same day, on a tracked next working day service, which was then signed for by customer Murray on the 13th. Customer only notified of cancelling the order once it was out for delivery. Customer accepted and signed for this order, even though had cancelled, rather than not signing for it and it automatically being sent back to us unfortunately.
We had not heard from customer until this review unfortunately as they didn't email us back regarding the cancellation.

Not very impressive at all. Overpriced for one, colours are nothing like what's advertised for another and quality is quite poor.

Pricing - our pricing is set by Auro themselves, we are a reseller of Auro so list at RRP standard prices. This isn't a mass produced chemical paint, our colours are hand mixed with full eco credentials, and unfortunately we can't compete with high street chemical paint brands when using top quality natural and sustainable ingredients.
Colours - As advised through our email exchange, the woodstain talked about is designed to built up in successive layers, which allow colour and intensity to be built up though multiple coats to suit. As advised, woodpaints are designed to cover in 2-3 coats, judging by the single coat applied this is not a fair comment, as we do clearly state that 2+ coats are needed for most surfaces. Fortunately you tried the tester pots first, this is exactly why we recommend everyone orders a tester pot first to make sure it looks right for them before ordering a bigger pot.
I'm sorry that you are disappointed, I did email you the information as requested but never heard back from you until this review.

Will be a returning customer!
We bought a special primer and a matte lacquer for our home-built family bed, and we are very pleased with the products.
Drying/hardening time is about a week, which is fine with us. The materials were very easy to work with and the pleasure of not having toxins emanating from our bed is definitely worth the extra spend.
In fact the smell is quite pleasant if a little strong at first. It wears off over a few weeks.
Can only recommend these outstanding vegan products!

Auro Paints
Have been using Auro paints for twelve months and find them very good. I'm not able to use 'modern paints' because of the solvents in them, and the organic paints are excellent.

This is a very easy and pleasant paint …
This is a very easy and pleasant paint to use. However, it does contain VOCs so if you want to avoid them there are paints with less. On the other hand they are natural substances which we may be adapted to cope with well.
It does not claim to be resistant to fungal and insect pests so if these are a problem either an underlayer of a preservative or a different paint is required.
I very much like the green and it covers filler and other blemishes well.

All good until we had a delivery problem… though resolved now.
A good product and quick delivery, though the Courier was careless and arrived unannounced each time. They also damaged buckets which caused a protracted issue, even though the paint company were sympathetic and nice about it to begin with. A lack of communication followed and, though resolved now, it was disappointing and caused a lot of hassle. Would use them again but would advise staying on top of the delivery and goods throughout your process.

Yes unfortunately this order did suffer from courier damage and unfortunately arrived broken - we struggled getting an answer from the courier who led us around the houses but it was all resolved happily! My advice is always choose the tracked next working day service so we can keep on top of your delivery with far more detail! We reimbursed for delivery charges and sent some extra natural cleaners through free of charge.

This is fantastic paint, no smell and such a beautiful colour (sea salt)
The company are fantastic, as the tin was damaged in transit and some paint spilled down side of tin.

Excellent service & quality paint
Both small tins of paint I ordered arrived very well packaged. This is excellent paint and in my case I used it for applying to my new bird box because of the organic and natural credentials of this company and the products they supply. I used the special primer on cedar wood and then the light top coat, applying 2 coats of each and allowing at least 24 hours between each coat. The paint went on very smoothly and leaves a very professional finish when dry. The light oak is also a nice light and bright colour for use with a bird box with no risk of it absorbing the heat for the birds inside. I just hope now that it has the kerb appeal needed to attract new residents. Well done to this company for supplying great products that are a pleasure to use and are friendly enough to use for such wildlife applications as a bird box.

Super paint and covers well. Not sure about the website info FAQs - like, does it still breathe to the same degree through a second coat? Otherwise good stuff and, so far, the best we found for use on our Ash Plastered 250 yr old house internally. Dries evenly,minimal odour, though its a pain to put on in poor light on an already white wall - need care to avoid over application.

I would have given negative stars if it was possible, this paint does not cover, it's thin and watery and given its cost you would have to spend a fortune to get near a decent finish. Not recommended.

Hi Gary,
As per our email conversation over the last day where I have tried to resolve this for you, and you are still unfortunately unhappy, I’m disappointed that you did not read the application instructions, nor listen to my advice when you emailed me the first time trying to help.
The facts are that you applied just one coat of Auro 250 wood paint on a prior petrochemical painted surface (Non Auro / Non natural finish) - and you also didn’t apply any kind of primer / undercoat at all, as advised in the product page, and it then didn’t coat / adhere as you had imagined. It was advised on the product sheet supplied (and in our emails) that an undercoat would be needed, then 2 or 3 top coats of the Auro 250. I would not have expected one coat of 250 on a plastic surface, with no undercoat to work either.
I’m disappointed that you judged the paint on just one coat, with no undercoat and then gave up and gave a bad, and unfair review, then overpainted with another non natural paint before actually getting in contact with us, it could have easily been resolved with a little undercoat and a further top coat.
I also must point out that no tester pot was tried first, which is also something we always recommend when painting substrates such as this.
I’m really sorry that you feel this way, and wished you could have contacted me sooner so we could have resolved straight away.
