Excellent customer service
I bought a ground anchor and chain from Oxford Products in the late 90's with two high security keys. I now use the chain and lock for another purpose and needed two extra keys. After visiting a couple of locksmiths I was told that the key blanks no longer exist. A phone call to Oxford Products solved my problem and the blanks arrived a few days later FOC.
Thanks for this excellent customer service, it's a rare thing these days.
Not impressed with Oxford aftersales
I have a pair of Oxford hot gloves which I purchased in 2015 but they haven't been used until this year, these gloves require a voltage regulator to work which is a short link wire fitted in line with the wires and gloves. The gloves are excellent when working but the voltage regulator one day just started smoking and the gloves no longer work.
I have been in touch with oxford to buy a replacement regulator but have been told that this part or indeed the gloves are no longer available even though the gloves are still advertised on Oxfords website. I was given a part number to look for but there are none available. I am not impressed with Oxford after sales, especially as the gloves are still being sold.
I don't want anything free, I just want my gloves working.

I recently purchased an Oxford Lidlock, and accidentally and unintentionaly set a new unkown combination, rendering the item unusable. I contacted Oxford customer services in the hope there may be a way to override and start from scratch to reset code. Although they were unable to assist, they immediately offered to send me a new item as a gesture of goodwill, brilliant. Their communication and helpfulness from start to finish was excellent. I returned the unusable lock as requested and 2 days later a new one arrived at my house. I have bought many Oxford products over the years, and this is the 1st time I have contacted their customer services. This is how all customers services should be, 1st class. Many thanks to all.
Excellent service long after warranty period
After a poor experience previously with an Oximiser i contacted Oxford regarding a hardcore lock which had jammed after less than 20 uses. I could see the problem, bits had actually fallen out of it, it wasn't the usual grit in the tumblers. The lock was well out of warranty so i didnt expect much when oxford asked me to return it for them to have a look, i was thrilled therefore when they offered me either a new lock, or a substantial credit against new stuff, i took the new lock and it arrived in Ireland from the UK in 48 hours, amazing. Top class and well above my expectations.

I bought a pair of waterproof gloves and within a week the gloves had soaked through during the bad weather in March. This then developed into having smelly gloves which left a horrid smell on my hands anytime I worn.
I contacted customer services who were unwilling to do anything about the poor manufacturing of their product without me going out of my way to return the gloves to Oxford. Instead of going out of my way to return a faulty product I’ve chosen never to buy Oxford products again.

Well impressed with this company. Lost some screws from my helmet, got in contact with Oxford and the very next morning received 4 screws. I am not used to this sort of service, well done and thanks.

Bought the Oxford Solariser recently but due to my own fault i dropped the cigar lighter connector. Emailed Oxford customer services,as i could not find any spares for this product. Got a very quick response from Aimee with an offer to send out a free replacement if i could cover the postage. I would have been happy to pay for the part, this is excellent customer service not only in the supply of the part but in the prompt response. Never had better from any company ever. A huge thanks.

I recently required a new chin curtain for my helmet and unfortunately whilst the the manufacturer were unable to help they put me into contact with Oxford Products.
I dispatched an email to OxProd in what I thought would be a forlorn attempt to locate ‘the Scarlett pimpernel’ of chin curtains.
Much to my surprise not only did Aimee from OxProd reply to my email in record time, she also located the aforementioned World Champion Hide and Seek helmet spare and offered me to dispatch it forthwith.
All joking aside, this company has the best customer service department I have encountered in many years.

I bought a little explorer child bike…
I bought a little explorer child bike seat and chose to fit it after a 12 hour shift. I managed to saw the ends off the foot rests!!
I emailed the company and was told I can have replacement free of charge!! I just had to provide a postage paid self addressed envelope.

I purchased a Camouflage Oxford cover…
I purchased a Camouflage Oxford cover and it's ripped in multiple places 6 months later even were my seat is and they want me to send it them back but then i am left with no cover in the winter and they want me to pay for postage etc.
Customer service is not interested, won't be buying anything Oxford again.
Their items are just not fit for use and never last. They even told me it was Warranty cover I had for a year but I know legally it's called a Guarantee because Warranty you pay extra for which I havnt, so just goes to show what their advisors know.
hjc is 17 helmet rrp £149.99 noisey 40mph+, safety issues and weak sun visor clip
ive got a hjc is17 helmet
issue is the D ring has a sharp edge and the strap is frayed
i contacted hjc europe who said oxford products is the uk distributor
i spoke to oxford, they acknowledge it is a safety concern
they asked me to send the helmet to them which i cannot as i work 6/7 days
i asked them if there was anywhere closer to where i live but there isnt
they say they cant help more because it is older than a year
my argument is that its not fit for purpose and not safe
surely a safety component like the D ring should be checked during the manufacturing process
a car wouldn't have sharp edges near the seat belt that for sure...
this should be covered under consumer law 'not fit for purpose'
the sun visor mechanism is so weak the clip snaps when you pull the sun visor down, extremely weak and poor design, no replacement for the is17 helmet?
helmet is noisy @40mph, @ 50+ it is terrible and this is in all vent positions
i bought the helmet as i was told hjc are decent brand, its very comfortable and there is room for my glasses. it comes with the anti fog pin lock type visor insert and this works excellent in winter
ive lived with the sun visor for ages i dont mind that too much
the wind noise you get used to but you shouldn't for the price
but its the sharp D ring and the frayed strap which has prompted me to write this review
these helmets are still being sold
between hjc and oxford products they cant help unless i buy a replacement helmet to use while i send this to them to look at it to decide how to advise me? no guarantee they will repair or replace the strap
so not a great experience with oxford products overall
i contacted hjc and said i wasn't happy with the outcome from oxford they replied and said oxford had been in touch with them and said it was considerably out of warranty and to contact oxford again
not sure what considerably out of warranty means or why they would say that but im just going round in circles with them...
Not bad bike locks
Not very impressed by the lower end products I have bought.
I find the locks on the hardcore padlocks a real pain to open, the key fails to engage all the time. In the cold and wet it is very annoying! The locks however are VERY tough and the ground anchors are good, though a little pricey.
I bought a screamer disc- don’t bother, in the cold the battery fails in about a week and makes a low buzzing noise only audible by dogs.
