Ruined RTX 4090 video card and refuse to take responsibility.
They say they specialise in desktop packaging, but all they did for a 2 kg card - put some supportive foam. Didn't even take it off the PCI slot. Of course it broke in transit. Now they give me a list of excuses, like that the package addressee has opened it instead of me (wtf?!). Basically saying I can't prove it's their fault - how is it even possible?
They say after I paid 300 for delivery, I had to also pay for insurance if I wanted to claim anything. Though I bet all the same "arguments" would have been applied to the insurance claim to reject it.
So... convenient service, but they can ruin 1500 GBP of equipment and have zero responsibility over it.
UPD: no, the damage looks exactly like the card was twisted down in place, like when the box was placed on the ground firmly. It doesn't need much, it's 2.2 kg card. The box doesn't need to be damaged for that.
As for insurance, I see no reason you wouldn't use exactly the same excuses to deny the claim.

Excellent service from Pack & Send Spitalfields. They were helpful and patient as I added items to my quote, advised which items should be professionally packed, which I could do myself. I had questions about the paperwork as my items were inherited. They gave good information and I had no problems with the French customs. It was a difficult time for me following the death of a loved one, and I'm grateful for the stress-free handling of my shipment which arrived unscathed.

I needed to transport a keyboard, keyboard stand and amplifier from the UK to Italy, all of which had to be picked up, packed and shipped by Pack & Send. Notification of the pick-up came in advance, the pick-up itself was on time and the instrument was securely packed. Everything on the UK/Pack & Send side of the transport went without a hitch.
Problems arose when only 2 of the 3 items were delivered in Italy. Naturally, it was the keyboard, the most expensive item, that went missing. Fed Ex/TNT (the Italian delivery company)records indicated (incorrectly) that all 3 items had been delivered. We complained to Fed Ex. We were advised to download and monitor CCTV video to verify what happened - not so easy in Italy due to laws protecting privacy. It took a few days before we were able to see the video that confirmed the fact that only 2 packages had been delivered.
During this time (about a week) I was in daily email contact with Pack & Send UK's Diyora Sadinova, who was unfailingly kind and helpful, monitoring the situation from her end of things, advising us and intervening on our behalf whenever possible.
Although I was extremely anxious about the missing keyboard, Ms Sadinova's positive suggestions and responses made me feel that she had my back ... that she was as committed to finding the keyboard as I was. A bright light in an otherwise dark period.
Then, 7 days after the two items were delivered, we got a call from Fed Ex/TNT saying the keyboard was on its way! Luckily I happened to be at home. I barely had time to slip on my shoes when the deliveryman was ringing the doorbell. He had no explanation for the delay and pleaded: 'Don't blame me!' (in Italian: 'Non la prendi con me!' )
We were so relieved to get the keyboard that we didn't insist on an explanation just then ... or apology for that matter, which in any case was never proffered by Fed Ex/TNT.
So, I would give full marks to Pack&Send UK, and award honorable mention and thanks to Diyora Sadinova for her professionalism. As for Fed Ex/TNT ... the less said, the better. They not only got the delivery wrong, they put us on the defensive by continuing to post on their track log that they had delivered 3 packages. To protect ourselves we had to download the CCTV footage, etc. You can imagine the time and bureaucratic hassle all that took. And never a word of explanation or apology from Fed Ex/TNT. But at least I got the keyboard, albeit 7 days late.

Had an issue sending a Scooter I purchased online to a friend of ours in Lithuania. Pack and Send were very helpful where DHL were not. You pay a little bit more but for specialised items such as these it is worth it as nearly everything is handled for you. Would highly recommend.
