The subscription service is so fun and special but the customer service is really what sets this company apart. Absolutely fantastic!

Excellent Customer Service!
The customer service has been top notch! They are quick to respond to messages (both through Facebook and email). They have been amazing to work with from a computer glitch that miscalculated shipping to sending me not one but TWO books when I didn't care for the book in my monthly subscription. During a recent sale I was able to buy a gift card at a discount for a family member and it will cover the full price of a 3 month subscription.

Page 1 Books bills itself as literary matchmakers, and they did not disappoint. I thought I’d read everything that met my criteria — and they still found some new titles that were exactly what I sought. They exceeded my expectations in every way. Page 1 subscriptions are my go-to gift this season.

Love love love Page 1! Excellent customer service. I have a subscription and it’s better than any other book subscription out there. They listen to what you like and curate something perfect for you each month. Highly recommended.

Adorable packaging and fun treats inside!

I wouldn't use the adjectives they use here which imply I'm affronted in some way; I'm not, just completely underwhelmed. I know it's only my first month, but I was so looking forward to this, thought about joining for over a year, planned, if this box had been good, to get a subscription for my husband and best bookish friend. The box came. I waited to open it, like it was Christmas. Everything inside was beautiful and exciting and . . . it's a book I already had (even though you had my librarything acct name). Ok, but generously you're sending another. The box came. I opened it right away, beautiful wrapping of . . . A book on Da Vinci (so cool!) by . . . Steve Jobs' neoliberal hagiographer. Maybe I am affronted after all. Walter Isaacson -- really? Wouldn't a book on Da Vinci be better if it were by someone who knew something about Da Vinci?

Page 1 is such a lovely idea. But I think you should add some questions to your initial subscription questionnaire, or maybe consult (but not rely on) an algorithm of some sort, or add more people to your team of pickers. I still have 2 months on my three-month subscription, so if my opinions change I'll happily amend this review.

ETA: it just got worse & worse until my subscription ran out. Whoever picks books for this service has pretty limited ideas about literature & readers. If you like reading what everyone else is reading, this might be for you. If you're looking for anything unusual or surprising, you're unlikely to find it here.

I look forward to receiving my hand-picked book every month. Books are selected based upon my interests, books I've read previously, and preferred genres. Additionally, a little extra something (tea, a mug, a postcard, etc.) arrives with each book. I would recommend this company to anyone! :)

I love that there is a book subscription that makes me feel like I am as cool as the guests on Anne Bogel's "What Should I Read Next." They got me 100% right first try. I also like that they are giving books that have staying power which is a little different than other book subscriptions I'll be looking forward to the beginning of the month for all of my subscription!

I ordered the Anne Bogel "I'd Rather Be Reading" bundle and was not disappointed! I went ahead and decided to try a monthly subscription.

Page One Books is very personal — every book is chosen based on your requests — and the customer service can’t be beat. My most recent book, while perfectly matching my subscription profile, was not something I would read. My email was answered within an hour and a replacement book arrived in just a few days. And it’s a perfect match! I was asked to pass the first book along to someone who can enjoy it or donate to a free library. I love the individual attention I receive and highly recommend Page One Books!

Page 1. is fabulous. I loved the summer beach bag bundle and I am enjoying the first selection for my three month subscription. I love that I received books that were not on my radar, but were a perfect fit. The branding and packaging are on point. I also loved the little extras in my shipment. I will definitely renew my subscription and am really looking forward to the Modern Mrs. Darcy bundle this fall. Page 1. stands out from all other book subscriptions because of Brandy’s personal touch. Her love of books and readers shines through. Well done.
