Par sands….really is my happy place,2 minutes from the beach,short drive to local amenities. Lots to see and do around and about. If you want peace and tranquillity this is definitely the place to stay. We love it so much we are getting married in st austell and almost all our guests are staying at Par Sands

Basic but good value for money. Clean and tidy. WiFi and mobile reception virtually non existent in my accommodation. Should make it clearer when booking that parking is not next to caravan, but these were minor niggles. Enjoyed my stay.

Great service the front of house are amazing

Spectacular service, lovely staff at front of house. Very comedic big man served us and also scared us. Idk his name but I'd say he's a hot melt

The park was well kept. The grounds immaculate.
Loved the lakeside walk and on paper it was the perfect site for us. Bar, restaurant, dog friendly and a base to explore the beauty of North Wales.
Well we walked the whole park and we had the only teeny tiny caravan on the park. In fact it’s the smallest static I’ve ever rented. We were two adults and a small dog and it was cramped. More upsetting was the fact this was our second visit and the first time the holiday home was amazing. Was it punishment as I used a discount code ;).
The bar was empty due to the sauna temperatures after the heating was left on all week whilst empty ( name of energy supplier please in this economic climate). Had one drink and left.
The restaurant? well the food was horrible. We had the special which was Korma. How can any curry be tasteless. Other days I opted to cook which was not our plan for a holiday after being out all day.
It was a shame really as my previous visit was excellent, great accommodation and decent bar food. Still love the area though and it’s a great location, campsite just needs to get their act together.
One final note I looked for a week in September in Cornwall but the price difference for dog friendly to non dog friendly is £100. What??? I have a wee Westie not a pack of savage wolves!

A lovely long weekend at Malvern View. Staff were friendly and helpful; the cottage was clean and comfortable, spacious and relaxing.

Pentire grounds are well looked after. The reception team were friendly, helpful and they agreed to a small request when asked. The holiday home had everything that we needed, and was located in a very quiet place.

Bryn teg.
Arrived after 8 hour drive to a small shabby static. After talking to reception, we were changed to another static.
During our stay we were disappointed that the pool/spa was shutting earlier than told and the one day we thought we would start the day with a swim. Door locked, one of staff in pool and no notice on door for opening! Another day we arrived and was told only 15 minutes to closing. The restaurant was only opening certain days and there was now only 1 snooker table, no pool tables. I understand that there was staff shortages and things were only opening at certain times it seemed. Shame as when we visited before and it was a lovely base for North wales and had great facilities. Don't think we will be back as we could have got a cottage in area that was cheaper to stay in.

We have just left Amble Links after 3 years of owning a caravan, and whilst we love Amble as a place, the caravan site is not a great place to be, and seems to be getting worse.

* The site lacks any real security - hence numerous sheds being broken into and bikes, boats and other items being stolen. Many people are afraid to stay on their own now, as the site feels unsafe. On the 20th April 22, at least 12 sheds were broken into, the police were called, and couldn’t get on site (11.30pm). An owner let them in, as no one from Park Leisure answered the numerous calls made to make them aware of the situation.

* Emergency services cannot get onto the park if they have too. The lack of security means that unless an owner goes to the barrier to let them in, they will be stuck outside the park, or have to crash through the barrier. I once had to let an ambulance in at 1.30 in the morning, when a child was unwell. The mother put a message on Facebook asking if someone could let the ambulance in as she couldn’t leave her child alone, luckily I was still awake so assisted, but it really was disgraceful.

* Brian is the manager, and if you ever want to speak to him you will be told “he is in a meeting”… I’ve never met anyone who has as many meetings as Brian. Any issues on park, he has very little authority to do anything, always has to go through head office!

*When we sold our caravan my buyer paid Amble Links over £50k to settle my remaining finance, we cancelled our direct debit, and signed all paperwork. We were disgusted when nearly 4 weeks later the finance company tried to take a monthly payment from us. Turns out they hadn’t bothered clearing the finance and just had the money sitting in their bank account. I know of at least two other people this has also happened too. So the new owners had moved in, thinking they owned the caravan, totally oblivious to the fact they didn’t! The finance company (Black Horse) were great when we explained the situation, but they were not impressed with the conduct of Park Leisure.

* If you ever come to sell your caravan Park Leisure will take 18% of your selling price. I still can’t get my head round this one!

* If you try and sell your caravan privately, be aware that the sales team will try and create barriers and scupper your sale.

* Amble Links only issue 10 year licence agreements, so they can throw you off site when this time is up, or try and make you upgrade, even if the caravan is still in immaculate condition. So if you buy a caravan second hand, make sure there isn’t just a couple of years left on the agreement or you could be kicked off the site - unless you pay a ridiculous amount to upgrade.

* I was disgusted to find out that they allow you to take finance over 10 years, when the licence agreement could be a shorter term. So if your licence has 5 years left, and you took finance over 10 years, they could kick you off the site if you don’t upgrade and you will still be liable for the caravan payments for the next 5 years!

* Site fees go up nearly £200 each year

* Entertainment used to be every weekend, it’s now once a month

* They have started to ticket events, the owners lounge is quite small given the amount of owners on site, this means it’s highly likely you won’t get to enjoy the limited amount of entertainment they do put on as you won’t get tickets. Plus there’s never enough seats for everyone.

* The Storehouse looks lovely, but the food is terrible, and the opening times are a joke. This place has the potential to be a gold mine, but the company just don’t seem to care about improving things

I wanted to give an honest review for anybody thinking about joining this site. As I’ve previously said Amble is a beautiful town, and we do have some good memories.

If your looking to buy a caravan this site is extortionate compared to others in Northumberland and it’s rapidly going downhill. It would probably be cheaper to buy a house than pay their prices, and you have the additional site fees of over £5200 per year on top!!!

A lovely place to stay and the caravan was very new clean a spacious. Staff extremely accommodating and friendly. Will definitely book again

we had a look around Amble Links but ended up buying a caravan on another site not far away as the caravans were ridiculously expensive. we got the same caravan for nearly £20,000 less.
nice location and facilities. we did find out after looking round that public use bar and pool also, sales girl did not tell us this on the day

Amazing Place!

We've been staying at Pentire - Bude for the 3 years and in occasions visited twice a year. The park is such close proximity to many beaches which is fantastic for us as my boys love to spent time in the beach. The park has outstanding views and play area (field and playground) which our kids love. We Defo recommend this facility to anyone who likes exploring and having a busy day out then coming back to a nice and tranquil place.

We stayed at Pentire, Bude, in a 3 bedroom, caravan. On arrival I was greeted by Pete, what a lovely polite, kind gentleman. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. First impressions when driving to our caravan was how clean and tidy the site was. There were recycling and general waste areas, these were kept tidy and clear instructions of what to put where. Staff around the sight were polite and helpful. The caravan itself was immaculate, it was big enough for my family of 4 and the dog. The shower was immense and having 2 toilets was great. Everything worked perfectly.
Bude town centre was only a short drive away. Lots of other places were in easy reach of the caravan site. It was very quiet in the evenings so no disturbances when going to sleep. The dog field was brilliant, big enough to do a walk in the morning for them to do their toileting. Bin on entrance for dog bags. They had a dog bag dispenser but this was empty. The views from the field were great! We saw some beautiful sunsets. We would not hesitate to come back here in a shot. Loved it.

We had a lovely stay. The caravan was lovely,clean,spacious and homely. Beach is only walking distance. Reception staff are very accommodating and friendly. Definitely like to stay again.

Lovely clean site and lodges. Plenty to do on the site and further afield. Staff are friendly and helpful. Site is quiet.

Bryn Teg
A quiet caravan park, the grounds are very well maintained and attractive. The lakeside area is peaceful but unfortunately you can’t walk fully around the lake and the Lakeside restaurant is closed and has been for some time( not advertised as been closed)
The swimming pool and spa area is lovely, the pool is very warm but it closes at 3.50 most week days and 4.50 at the weekends. Unhappy kids when you arrive after a long journey and they can’t go for a swim.
The restaurant on site is average but reasonable prices, you get what you pay for I guess.
The caravans are clean and usually well equipped to self cater.
The local village Llandrug 5 mins in the car has a fab butcher, shop and a good chippy. It is possible to get fresh farm eggs down the lane and a small basic but good bakery is open in the morning at the bottom of the lane leading up to Bryn Teg.
It’s a great base for lots of days out. Nothing for the kids on site for our visits.

I have been holidaying on Brynteg for years, 3 times a year and have been in some lovely caravans
Lifestyle 2 and 3 bedrooms but this last one was awful position facing the back of one caravan and bedrooms looking at parked cars also smelt of wet dog or wet mop.
I did ask at reception to be moved and was told that there were no more 2 or 3 bedrooms but there looked like lots of empty caravans to me.
I upgraded to a lovely caravan but had to pay another 200 pounds
The facilities for children are very shabby pool and spa area are the same.
They have had months of covid to improve the site but no money has been spent on the facilities.
The club area is beautiful the staff in the pool and club are wonderful especially Leoni who is friendly professional and helpful. The grounds and lake area are beautiful. Pity the lake house was shut whilst we were there.
I have 2 more holidays booked here this year the cottage in August. I stayed there last September and I know that is beautiful and a caravan holiday at the end of October but if there is not much improvement I will not be booking again next year

Had a lovely relaxing stay, starting off being greeted by very helpful friendly staff the accommodation was very clean, comfortable open plan living room space , the bedrooms were small but adequate, the park was very clean though I was disappointed that the bin area looked like it had not been emptied for a long time with not much choice for recycling !! Overall a great place to stay !😀🐶

Wonderful weekend break. Pod very clean and well equipped. Only criticism is that Sofa bed needs a mattress topper to make it comfortable.
