We have recently purchased at Amble Links after viewing nearly every site in the local area. Amble is by far the best kept and well presented. Being owners only was very important to us, we didn't want to join a typical 'holiday park' The facilities are beautiful and we are very much looking forwards to summer days sitting on our decking.
All the staff are very friendly and always stop to talk to us or give us a wave. Shaun did some small jobs in our caravan after handover to a good standard and very quickly. Thankyou all!

From purchasing my caravan Luke was exceptional, Went above and beyond and even sorted out the decking for my dad who is in poor health, so will be ideal to make precious memories! Also Jodie and the rest of the staff are fantastic, it's a joy spending time there, true dog lovers too, and make a genuine fuss of my furry boyos. Can't recommend Amble Links high enough, anyone thinking of purchasing a holiday home there go for it without hesitation, best decision you,ll ever make, cheers, Steve 👍

The last couple of negative reviews have all have been left by the same person, the language is the same.
We are owners for over a year now, we have kept ourselves to ourselves which is largely why we bought on the side

Covid is the excuse for everything!
Site fees are over £5,000, waste of money! Every year it gets worse with things being taken away! Management don’t want to know or care! They just want to sell you a caravan! Which are expensive on the site compared to other sites! Look around, don’t be sucked in by the false lying sales people who will sell you the dream! My advice ask current owners who have been here for a few years!

Frustrates me reading some of the nonsense on here about Amble. Some owners need to go and have a look at other parks in Northumberland & they will soon realise the grass isn't greener, we had a look around at lots of other parks before we bought & Amble was without doubt the best in the area. The last few years have been difficult for everyone with lockdowns & restrictions but we hope that we can all now go back to some normality and we can enjoy our happy place again!

I have been an owner at Amble links now for 4 years and I am so disappointed with how much it has went downhill.
We love the location. Having the beach and amble on your doorstep is a huge plus point but the way the park/facilities is being run is so disappointing.
My children do not want to come up anymore due to the lack of activities and entertainment. When we joined as owners there was entertainment and live acts on every weekend in the owners lounge. It is now once a month except school holidays. There was surfing, kayaking, puffin cruises, arts and crafts, movies and much more. All these have been taken away. They have added some owner events through the summer but these were very few.
Site fees continue to rise and have done so every year, even with covid and there has been no refund or freezing been applied. Site fees do not match what you get as an owner. Complete rip off!
Caravans are way overpriced (don’t be fooled by the sales people) look around as they are the most expensive in the area!
The storehouse is a shambles! Food mediocre, hardly anything on, staff are unfriendly, it’s cold and do unwelcoming! It’s closed more than it’s open and closes early! The party nights at Halloween, Christmas, bank holidays etc used to be amazing and the owners lounge used to be full every Saturday! Now they are dreadful or don’t even happen. Yes we have had covid and regulations but they continue to use covid as an excuse!
What you get now as an owner has completely changed and went downhill. If we could walk away we would but having finance we cannot.
Management do not want to know all they are interested in is sales. They tried to throw people off the site last year to make way for new owners to buy as there was a shortage of pitches. Be very wary is what I would say.
It is such a shame how things are now on site.
Sales team will sell you the dream but beware it is not what it is!
But advice, join the owners private forum on Facebook and get feedback from owners first before committing. Wish we did! Do your research.

Park leisure Ribble Valley. Just stay clear. They'll reel you in then try to get rid of you so they can make more money. Lack of pitches they have applied for planning permission. So this means bullying intimidation and provocation of existing owners. So they can cancel there pitch license.
Criminal behaviour in my opinion.

Lovely quiet park with lake and woodland walks just 4 miles from Mount Snowdon and Llanberis lake. Indoor swimming pool and healthsuite which we didn't have time to use as my husband and I had some lovely dry weather and enjoyed exploring the area. Did use snooker table (free of charge) in the clubhouse. We arrived a little late but were shown to our lovely caravan by the security staff which were very helpful. Will definitely go back there again .

Great place to stay. Caravans always clean and staff always friendly.
The beach is simply divine.

Absolutely amazing stay at lakeside cottage, perfect from the word go. Great staff on check in, beautiful house, amazing fireworks. Definitely recommend!!

Park very clean and well tendered. The cottage(Pear Tree) was more spacious than I expected and well equipped. Places to visit quite near.
Downside, the satnav does not accept the park's postcode!! We ended up going round and round lots of fields with tiny lanes to manoeuvre! Eventually got directions from a local resident, pointing us towards the " Pink House" to look out for!
By the way, the pink House is now half grey!!

As an owner (recently ex) on Par sands we have in the past two years been lied to and treated like a cash cow, the site fees are an astronomical £6000 pa, they'll tell you what you want to hear, paint a rosy picture for you until they've got your money then they couldn't care less, they sell vastly overpriced caravans and after you've been there a while and found out what a money grabbing organisation they are you'll want nothing more than to escape but even that's not easy, if you sell your caravan on its pitch they insist on dealing with your buyer so they can cream 15% of your selling price, money in my view they have no right to. If you sell it off site they won't get involved but they will charge money to disconnect and drag it off the park, they will not allow your transporter on the park.
Anything you want doing you have to use their contractors, contractors who tell me Park leisure take a hefty commission. They say they're a five star park, there's no shop, no amusements, expensive badly run part time cafe, there is a small pool which is run with so many rules and regulations you'll think you're in the army, a tennis court which you pay for by the hour and hire rackets and balls from them. The beach is close, just over the road, blighted by the view of the China clay works, endless dog mess and occasionally the strangest seaweed which doesn't seem to appear anywhere else on the coastline, it's green, crusty on top but if you step on it you'll find it's full of green slime, the consistency of a cow pat, when it appears it's everywhere, the beach is covered in rubbish from twigs to litter, and twice in the past year thousands of tons of raw sewage have been released into the sea there. There's a cliff walk but that also tends to be a minefield of dog mess, if not on the path then hanging on the barbed wire fence in little black bags. My advice is to steer clear, what I have told you here is only the tip of the iceberg, look elsewhere, Looe, Polperro, anywhere but Par. We escaped, many want to but can't as they paid far too much for their caravans and would lose so much money. Park Leisure are only interested in making money and that's it.
We used to let our caravan to holiday makers, they often said they found the Park leisure office and especially the pool staff rude and unfriendly, they get through staff like they're on a conveyor belt and managers don't seem to last long there either. Of course there are exceptions, one of the reception staff is lovely and the groundsmen are great.
During lockdown most parks refunded part of their site fees, some even added a year to the caravan age limit, NOT Park leisure, despite many requests from struggling owners and the fact the park got financial support from the government they gave NO concessions at all. And I have no idea where the 5 star rating is from but it's certainly not deserved.

We stayed at par sands over the October half term. Contactless check in. Our caravan was ready early which was great and the reception staff were very welcoming.
The cafe was not open whenever we checked which we was disappointed about, the caravan was very clean apart from when we first arrived in the single bedroom there was approx 15 flys ? Once cleared out- no issues.

On the 4th evening our caravan ran out of gas which obviously means no heating, hot water or cooker. Reception was closed so we called the out of hours number, it was his night off so he ignored our calls and then turned his phone off! That was that, until we managed to contact someone else and they was absolutely fantastic and traveled from a different site to come sort.

grounds was clean and well maintained, beach 2 min walk, plenty of shops and things to do in local area.
Only thing is suggest is having a shop on site.

We used to own a caravan at brynteg. This used tobe a goid site.
On our arrival we couldnt check in till 4pm bit dissapointed we felt like we'd lost a whole day of our holiday.
We checked in and were told by reception the pool closed at 6pm so we went over to the pool to be told no its 5pm. When we asked to buy a coffee and a hot chocolate we were told they had no milk sorry. So we didnt get a drink.

That evening we went out for a meal into the restaurant we ordered 4 steaks and 1hunters chicken.
The sreaks were awful fatty grizzly we complained and all they said was sorrt well tell chef. The meal cost 75 pounds without drinks. We were very dissapointed. The arcadewas closed we were informed by staff member that the arcade was just a nucience and it was going. There was absolutely nothing to do but sit in caravan the bar closed at 9pm, no entertainment for adults or children it had all been stopped.
The next day my son went to pool with boys again the cafe was closed it was the middle of the afternoon and you couldnt get a drink.
When it did open i was shocked to be charged £1.40 for a pkt crisps
I got 4 crisps and 2 slush it was £9.60 i was disgusted. And £8 for a blow up beachball terrible.
The children were bored stiff, fhe only thing available was the pool.
Not even a shop on site to buy anything we had topay taxi toget more bread and milk that cost £10.20.
On our last night we tried the restaurant again the boys wanted cajun chicken pasta we were told it was off the menu they didnt have it.i asked what pasta was available they said just the childrens linguine with tomato sauce,i asked if they could make the portions bigger and add chicken as our boys are older. She went to check the chef said he didnt have enough chicken he couldnt do it. The boys settled for child portions pasta and burger and chips between them the burger was all bits i complained i wasnt paying £10 forbits to be told it breaks up when were cooking them. But i was given a proper burger in the end.
The chicken wings sweet and sticky (not) they were roast chicken wings with what seemed like balsamic glaze drizzled on awful. We dont think the chef (and i use the word chef loosely) is a qualified chef.
Thursday evening our last evening the arcade was open but not one member of staff could give us change for our children to use the arcade.
It was as if no one cared or couldnt be bothered, there was no holiday atmosphere we paid money for a caravan with no amenaties nothing to do our boys are age 11 and 9 were fed up there was more to do at home. definately would not recommend this site and we will not be returnin

Overall our holiday was awful

We stayed for four nights at Par Sands in Cornwall and we could not fault the entire experience. This was our first British caravan holiday and we didn’t expect much from it tbh but we were so shocked! The caravan was absolutely fantastic and way surpassed our expectations, it was absolutely spotless and was so well stocked. I was worried we’d forget something but it had everything. It had board games for us to play and spare tennis rackets and balls for the tennis courts and books for us to read. It was contactless entry because of Covid and we did struggle to figure out which caravan was ours as it was abit of a maze! But we found it once we looked at the map they sent us via email a bit more. The grounds were so well maintained there was always someone out keeping the park clean and maintained! We didn’t get a chance to use the swimming pool or tennis courts as we had other plans. The beach is generally a stones throw away and dog friendly! It was a lovely beach we went there everyday come rain or shine! They also have a wildlife lake at the front of the park which was beautiful. Just down the road was a dog friendly pub as well and the food was 10/10! We would defiantly recommend this caravan site and will 100% be booking again in the future! Thank you Par Sands

We booked at Brynteg. The caravan was very clean on arrival and was as described when we booked. We booked a three bedroom caravan which had a double bed and 2 twins. In one of the twins we were able to push the beds together so it was bigger to stop our toddler falling out! The second twin was great for our 5 year old, but would be snug for taller adults, as not full length beds.

Kitchen was well equipped and plenty of space in the cupboards. The freezer was a proper freezer with 3 draws. In the ‘goodie bag’ you get a sponge and cloth and t towel and tiny washing up liquid and 3 dishwasher tabs. I would definitely take some more of this stuff with you if you’re staying more than a weekend. You do get a bit of tea and coffee but ours were out of date! There was a small soap in each bathroom and one loo roll in each. Remember to take your own bath and swim towels.

The site is very hilly, but everything is close by. When you book online you can’t see where your caravan is, so if you wanted a particular place, you may be able to request this if you ring up maybe?

I took a clothes maiden with me and this was very useful to dry towels! There were a couple of little over radiator ones there though.

Swimming pool and spa area were great with a shallow kids bit and deeper pool. We went out of the school holidays and it was very quiet. On our last day, the half term holidays had started and it was very busy! The soft play is good (kept my 3 and 5 yr old happy for a good length of time!) It doesn’t say on the website, but there is a little arcade with 2p machines etc. which is fun and they also have a launderette with washing machines and dryers (take your own soap). Can’t remember how much they were now!

There was nothing on outside of the school holiday season, but seemed to be some things to book in the holidays. These were generally for children 8 and over (but varied depending on the activity). They seemed to book up very quickly as capacity was quite low. I would ring to ask when these go live on the booking system as they weren’t on very far in advance.

There was a restaurant open on site (check opening times though as was only open Fri-Sun when we were there in October). Would definitely recommend the restaurant. Good value food and a quick service.

There are some small supermarkets and a fish and chip shop in the local village. There is a nice little woodland walk on site near the lake.

Overall great!

If you are thinking of buying at amble links for a family fun experience then please DON’T!!!! I have been on the park for 4 years and the place has rapidly gone down hill, (this was before covid aswell). We pay over £5000 in site fees for a 1star experience. The entertainment has been cut to once a month unless its the holidays and now they are charging for tickets for halloween for the kids which are now sold out. The owners lounge has been changed to a sports bar and the storehouse has ridiculous opening hours, closing at 6pm on a Sunday. The food is also mediocre and the service is slow and quite frankly unsatisfactory.
Having had to pay full site fees through covid with no discount and for the entertainment to be cut is completely unacceptable.
We joined the site because the reviews were amazing and up until 2 years ago that was the case but it has come to the point where myself and my husband are thinking about leaving the site unless things do not improve. Everything we were promised when we bought our caravan has been taken away from us and I feel completely let down by Amble links.

DO NOT BUY IN AMBLE LINKS!!! £5k a year for a shocking service. All they want is a signature, once they have it the customer service and entertainment on the park is shi*e!

The caravan was lovely and the park was in stunning grounds. Nice and quiet. Spa facilities were fantastic. Will definitely be returning
