Slightly disappointed
Having stayed at other Park Leisure sites our expectations for Brynteg were let down. The site felt very cramped with accommodation on every angle and level. Our accommodation was basic (dog friendly) and I have no idea how 2 people were supposed to move around the double bed! the seating wasn't very comfy and we couldn't get the dishwasher to work. There was a gap over the top of the door, which didn't bother us but if wet and windy weather might be a problem. It would have been good to have some basic local info in the accommodation although the complimentary tea and coffee was appreciated ! The Country Club was comfy, the food was good and the staff were pleasant and friendly. The Leisure facilities were ok, nice pool, the sauna was closed, although a member of leisure staff told us it was open ! Some site signage to avoid getting lost when looking for the lake would be good also. Overall we had a good holiday, mainly because of the location and close proximity to Snowdonia, but probably won't stay at Brynteg again.
We had a great holiday at Bryn Teg…
We had a great holiday at Bryn Teg holiday resort the accommodation was first class, very clean and equipped with averything we require. The site was well maintained and the staff very helpful, one small problem was the access road was closed for the first two days which meant we had to use a back road however this was not the fault of the holiday park this was down to the local authority. The holiday park is situated close to all the main tourist resorts and ideal to climb snowdon
A brilliant location and base to…
A brilliant location and base to explore. The site, facilities and the lodge were below expectation and not particularly well maintained. There were faulty appliances in the lodge, which were reported, but no corrective action was taken. Food was very poor at eatery but service was very personable. We had a good weeks break but it could have been outstanding if the park was better run and maintained to higher standard as was expected by a Park Leisure customer
Beautiful Holiday Park
We had a lovely 4 night break at Brynteg Holiday Park
Near Llanberis
What a stunning Holiday Park the facilities Were fantastic and a great location for exploring the many beautiful places in the area ( Portmeirion village, Porthmadog ,Criccieth, and Anglesey ) the caravan/lodge was lovely very clean and very well equipped Tv in all bedrooms as well as a dishwasher and washing machine it also had a balcony with furniture look forward to retuning again soon
Good with a couple of niggles
Well appointed mobile home in a good location. Really good to have a lockable gate to the decking. Everything clean and kitchen well equipped.
There were a couple of things that i would like to mention though.
1. It said there was a DVD provided but it wasn’t. That was a bit annoying.
2. Also there was a television in the bedroom, but no aerial connection, Freeview box or DVD player so it was useless. That was more annoying
3. It would have been really useful to have somewhere to dry wet swimming clothes, such as a collapsible airer or similar. Nobody wants to pay £1.60 a time in the laundrette just to dry a swimsuit and a towel.
4. A parasol for the outside table would have been nice for sunny days.
5. It would be so useful to be provided with an itinerary, preferably in advance, to save looking for things that aren’t there.
Overall a good property though.
Excellent all round as always
Really enjoyed our break at Par Beach
Really enjoyed our break at Par Beach. Great location, straightforward access to caravan and very clean, quiet site. Caravan very comfortable.
Malvern View. Lovely clean parkand great walks round…
Lovely clean park and great walks round perimeter of the Park.staff all very friendly and the bistro was really good the food was brilliant as we're the staff. Clover cottage was clean and tidy on arrival. All in all a very holiday and the weather made it too.
Had a great time at Brynteg
Had a great time at Brynteg, facilities and caravan clean and well maintained, just was not impresses with 4 single beds in caravan.
Parsands holiday park
Great holiday park .been many times and never had a problem. Great for dog owners and peaceful site for us older people. Only suggestion is clearer caravan numbering.
Wonderful
Had a wonderful stay ..our lodge was stunning and very clean. The park is beautiful and well maintained.would definitely return
Good break
Ideal location for beach, walks, public transport and supermarket.
Accommodation suitable for 2 couples and a dog.
Didn't use any on-site facilities as pool was always busy.
First time at Pentire North Cornwall not the last.
First time at Pentire North Cornwall, this was a pre covid booking, very pleased with the correspondence from all the park leisure staff, very helpful & a pleasure to deal with. The park was immaculately keep, a large a percentage of the accommodation was owner/occupier, the outside gin & wine bar was a real bonus as was the large outdoor screen, would definitely return, hopefully next year. Thank you.
Excellent
Booking delayed by 12 months due to Covid and not all facilities were open but thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Bryn Teg holiday park.have used Park leisure several times in the past and will definitely be using again.
Lovely accomodation, okay location
From reading previous reviews we were quite sceptical about booking with Park Leisure, but went ahead with Par Sands in Cornwall.
As we entered the park there weren't enough signs to our caravan and only because they emailed us the map earlier we had an idea of the location of ours, however when we reached there our caravan had the door number missing so we were guessing that it was ours as they were all numbered sequentially. The information pack provided was very thoughtful - it had all the little details required for the stay, inlcuding local take-away numbers! From the inside, the accomodation exceeded our expectations - the place was cleaned to high standards and we had nothing to complain about. After long days of being outdoors we were happy to come back to the caravan. We were able to cook our own meals as the kitchen was fully equipped and felt like home. There was hot running water throughout our stay so we had no issues. Unfortunately we didn't use any of the on-site amenities (pool, etc) so I cannot comment on it.
The park is definitely close to Par beach and one could say it's literally a stone's throw away, but the beach itself isn't the best with weed washing up the entire length of the beach on a low tide and a non-pleasant lingering scent. The only reason I'm bringing this up is because of the way the beach has been advertised for this particular location, though it is suited for walking your pets in my opinion!
2nd visit to Par Sands
2nd visit to Par Sands. Great site with none of the awful arcades/ mascots etc.
Caravan was great, cant recall there being an option for a deck when I booked so disappointed a day or 2 before arrival that we had no outside seating especially with 2 dogs. Did call and ask if there was one available and when we arrived. Unfortunately not, nevermind.
Most lightbulbs were out in the caravan although asked twice for replacements the maintenance man had noted they had been changed, they hadn't been.
Not sure why the cafe had to shut at 4 everyday, is it due to lack of what they were serving? Which was drinks, hot, cold and alcohol.
Few prepacked sandwiches was their only food offering, pretty lame to be honest.
Nice quiet site, good location on the beach.
Par Sands
Just got back from a wonderful week at Par Sands. Caravan was immaculate and a great size. Site was very well maintained and only a few hundred yards from the beach. A perfect holiday spot.
Lovely holiday
From arriving to leaving Brynteg Holiday Park we had a lovely time, the accommodation we booked was spot on, it even had a washing machine and dishwasher :) 3 bedrooms eventhough just thec2 of us :) it was clean and tidy with lovely welcome packs of tea, coffee milk and sugar also a washing up box of dish sponge, washing liquid dishwasher tablets. There is no shop onsite was fine for usxwe knew that so took everything we would need, there are shops near by in lanberis if you need anything. We found this park to be a great base for all tourist attractions. The boat house lovely for a drink in the evening ( we had fabulous weather) we didnt usevthe club house so carnt comment sorry. We also had a lovely verander with both rattan furniture and table parasol and chairs, very well kept site.
A perfect week at Par Sands
We’ve just returned from a week at Par Sands, and it was just perfect. The caravan was immaculate - the best we’ve stayed in and the welcome packs were a fab little extra. The park is peaceful and very well maintained. We’re not interested in onsite clubs/entertainment, so it was spot on for us. Though there is a play park, indoor pool and cafe.
Direct access to the beach was perfect for my teenagers. The one and only drawback (or not!) is the lack of wifi in the caravan. (At least my two spent time out of their rooms and actually held regular conversations with the family!!!). We will definitely be back.
Unclean accommodation
We have just returned from staying at Brynteg, after it was recommended by a friend. We were shocked by the poor standards of the accommodation we stayed in, and it certainly wasn't cleaned to the standard they pride themselves on in the welcome pack! As soon as we entered we were hit by a musty and damp smell, we found used cotton wool pads, tissues, food wrappers and sanitary wrappers in the cupboards and under the beds in every bedroom. We even found a mouldy chocolate bar under the coffee table and the ice box had unpackaged left over food in it. In addition to this, the level of dust was ridiculous and the steps leading in to the caravan were loose and not attached to the caravan properly, almost causing an accident on several occasions. The shower completely cut off for about 5 minutes anytime anyone flushed the toilet or turned on a tap. We alerted reception to all these issues immediately and they apologised and said they would send maintenance and house keeping round that afternoon. Maintenance came swiftly but couldn't "fix" the shower as they said it was down to poor water pressure on site. Housekeeping never showed up, despite me chasing it up. We ended up cleaning it ourselves!! And the steps were never looked into either. The site is nice and the facilities were clean and we enjoyed swimming, but unfortunately we were unable to book onto any other activities such as climbing and pool zorbing because they filled up instantly, even though we went on the sports planner on the morning that we were advised to prior to our stay. The restaurant was okay but much nicer places to eat locally, and the site could really do with a shop! All in all it had the potential to be a nice holiday but the accommodation was horrible and the customer service wasn't up to scratch. Won't be staying again.
