Return Parts Rip-Off
My far the worst return policy in the country. To start, PartsGeeks never ask customers to verify the part number before purchasing an item on their website. I myself purchased a headlight assembly. It arrived in a huge box. When I noticed the fittings did not match, I called to set up a return. I was told that there would be a 20% restocking fee, and I was responsible for the return shipping cost as well. When speaking with a supervisor, I explained to him that there's no information on Parts-Geek website that requests customers to verify the part number before making a purchase. His reply was, "I'm sorry, that's our policy" His explanation is Bull-Shit because it doesn't stipulate that important fact. Therefore, I'll only receive back approximately 20% of the $137.00 I paid when I include the cost for restocking and shipping fees. I will never buy another Item from Parts-Geek!

It took about a month for my part to arrive. After receiving it, I realized I was sent the wrong part. I had issues returning it because they did not want to refund me my money even though they sent the wrong part. And on top of that I had to pay $80 for the shipping fee after finally being able to return it. They still did not refund me all of my money, I had to dispute it with my bank. Terrible all around.
Do NOT use Parts Geek - Buyer BEWARE
My experience with PartsGeek was extremely disappointing and ended up costing me both time and money.
I ordered a replacement door locking mechanism from PartsGeek. The part did not work, which meant my mechanic had to remove it and source another locking mechanism elsewhere. Not only was I out the cost of the defective part, but I also had to pay additional labor charges because the job had to be done twice.
To their credit, PartsGeek issued an RMA and authorized the return. I promptly shipped the part back at my own expense and included the RMA paperwork exactly as instructed.
Unfortunately, because I failed to separately provide the tracking number through their return system, PartsGeek has refused to issue any refund whatsoever. Their position appears to be that without the tracking number, the return effectively doesn’t exist — even though they almost certainly received the part and now possess both the returned item and my money.
As a result, I am out approximately $200 between the cost of the part, return shipping, and additional mechanic labor. I also have no way to recover the returned part itself since it is now in their possession.
Defective parts happen in the automotive industry. What separates good companies from bad ones is how they treat customers when problems arise. Instead of showing any flexibility or attempting to verify receipt of the return using the RMA information they themselves issued, PartsGeek chose to hide behind a technicality and leave the customer holding the bag.
My takeaway is simple: if you order from PartsGeek, document absolutely everything, save every email, upload every tracking number immediately, and assume there will be little to no customer advocacy if something goes wrong.
I won’t be ordering from PartsGeek again.
Nasty company and a bunch of liars
This is a nasty company and a bunch of fraud. I ordered a part and paid for expedited shipping and a week later the part has not even shipped yet. Customer service is useless. They make up excuses knowing well that they don't have the part in stock. After many complains and many phone calls, they are asking me to wait another week and refuse to refund me. FRAUD
They are liars and thieves
They are liars and thieves. Do not order from them wrong parts double orders paid 81.00 to ship parts back have proof they were received still will not refund the money. There are plenty of honest companies on line choose anyone but this one. We are out 300.00
Parts geek is a total scam
Parts geek is a total scam. We bought an expensive part, found out it was something else wrong so we sent the part back. We didn't even use the part, just opened the box and realized once we got in the car it was something completely different. We sent the part back....which we had to pay almost $70,shipping. They won't refund, says there is oil ALL over the part, see attached picture. There is a spot of oil which could be wiped off, we had to pay $70 to send a prepaid shipping label. They give you the run around and apparently only the warehouse has the authority to give refunds, but you can't get ahold of them. Make it make sense.
ZERO help from customer service
I prefer a starter and received brake wheel cylinders. I contacted customer support which refused to replace it and send to part that I ordered I asked to speak with a supervisor and they also refused to help in any way whatsoever!!!! I’ve ordered from them many times before but didn’t know if they ever messed up my order they would do absolutely nothing to rectify the situation!!! Would give zero stars if I could
2 of 3 boxes came in damaged
2 of 3 boxes came in damaged. They required us to return all 3 boxes at our cost (which was almost as much as the original purchase) instead of just sending replacements for damaged items. Not our fault items arrived damaged. One wasn't even in a box, just wrapped in bubble wrap and all bent.

This company is gouging people with a 20% restocking fee plus you have to pay shipping costs if you return a product ordered. BAD BUSINESS. DONT USE.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. I ordered a part that was misrepresented on their site and after 4 different people got my explanation they simply tried gaslighting me and told me there will be a restock fee because it's not their fault. I was given the runaround for days to get this answer. Additionally, they sent a relatively small part in a massive box, not the original box, but they are requiring the oversized box back which increases my return shipping costs significantly. Between the part misrepresentation, the poor customer service, and the lack of common sense or decency I would say avoid them at all costs.
Terrible company and worse Customer…
Terrible company and worse Customer Service. Ordered a part for my car, $117 plus service charge and taxes, $142.00, They sent me the wrong part, told them so. Got a reply with return instructions, cost me almost $20 to send it back, about $160 total expense…just got my refund, $112.00. Called them, told me that was it, whether I liked it or not.
Rip off!!
I ordered a headlight ballast along with a 3 year warranty from partsgeek.com on May 28, 2026. I received the part on June 1, and it was burned out by July 2, 2026. I first tried to redeem the warranty I paid for, and couldn’t navigate the website. I emailed the warranty company and their response was less than helpful. I wrote the warranty company again explaining the complications I was having and their response was basically that it’s no fun to be me. Again, they offered no help. I asked if I should cut my losses and walk away in my email explaining my complications and that was how they responded.
After that, I went to partsgeek and explained that I was getting nowhere with the warranty company. I then asked if I could just send the defective part back and receive a refund. They said I could not. I will never do business with this company again and I wrote this review to deter others as well.
They don't stand behind their return…
They don't stand behind their return policy. I ordered the wrong part. Didn't want it, turned around and ordered another brand part from them that cost over 3 times as much. They sent me an RMA for first order, when I went to return I noticed the box was all damaged. I never even looked at it before since I had already ordered another part. Told them about the box being damaged. They wanted pics, sent them pics. Then they wanted me to open the box and send pics of the parts. I had already taped up all the damage to the box to send it back so I told them I'm just gonna send it to them. In the interim they cancelled the RMA. I asked them to send me another RMA. Well apparently, their policy to report things if claiming damaged is 7 days. If you claim wrong part it's 30 days. The damage came from them shipping the box to me. I didn't want to get blamed for the damage when shipping the box back to them. So now I'm screwed with a piece of junk radiator Chinese made, i'm out $207 because their warehouse apparently made the decision that they were closing my case for return for damage. I never made a claim to return for damage, return claim was wrong part. I was just trying to cover my butt and let them know that their delivery company had pretty much trashed their package. I will never do business with this company again. And I would suggest you do the same. Spent 30 minutes in phone system waiting for cust service, twice! Got hung up on with 1 caller to go first time. Their automated system says push 1 to get a call back instead of waiting on hold....that didnt work. COULDN'T BE MORE DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
I ordered a part for my car
I ordered a part for my car. After ordering i clicked on the order to simply review it, it was then I realized I had my old address in for a delivery address. I called and they told me to wait for a tracking number to be generated and then I need to call UPS to reject the package. I did just that and UPS tells me parts geek has placed restrictions on the package so that it cannot be held at a hub for me to pick up, cannot change the delivery address or reject the package prior to its delivery. I called again and asked parts geek to help and call UPS as thats what UPS told me had to happen. I've received zero help! Now due to a simple address mistake a stranger will receive the part and I'm out 70$!! Absolute GARBAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE AGAIN IN MY LIFE!!!

I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with PartsGeek. The part I received was incorrect/damaged, and the return process was frustrating from start to finish.
What made the experience even worse was the customer service. It was extremely difficult to get assistance, responses were unhelpful, and it felt like no one was willing to take responsibility for resolving the issue. As a customer, I expected better support when the company sent the wrong or damaged item.
Buying auto parts online requires confidence that the seller will stand behind their products. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with PartsGeek. Between receiving the wrong/damaged part and dealing with poor customer service, I wasted valuable time and money.
I would not recommend PartsGeek based on my experience and will be purchasing my auto parts elsewhere in the future.
TERRIBLE WEBSITE
I am extremely disappointed with both Parts Geek and their customer service.
I received a severely damaged part from my order (Order #31-6894064), which cost $271. To receive a refund, I was required to ship the damaged part back at my own expense. I paid an additional $95 to FedEx, and Parts Geek refused to reimburse me for the return shipping, even though the part arrived broken.
From the poor packaging to the lack of customer support, this has been one of the worst online parts purchasing experiences I've had. Customers should not have to pay out of pocket to return merchandise that was damaged before it even arrived.
I would strongly recommend exercising caution before ordering from this website. Based on my experience, the packaging, customer service, and post-sale support were all extremely disappointing.
0/5 do not trust any part their site…
0/5 do not trust any part their site days will fit your car. Call and confirm because their customer service is terrible and they want to keep your money by any means necessary!!
*****BUYER BEWARE*****
Make sure when ordering that you order the part you need. It will cost you the customer more for return shipping and the restocking fee. By the time you pay those your refund will be minimal. Basically they are going to get paid one way or another. I'll be better off to resell the brand new part to get most of my money back instead of paying them.to scan it back into inventory and put it back on a shelf to sell again later. They're making double on a single part. I definitely suggest using RockAuto.com or CarParts.com. Better prices and better customer service at both places. PartsGeek.com just feels like a bunch of greedy thieves that don't think mistakes happen. No thanks.
