Those idiots did block a sending because they think its a scam
I did send already 78 times to that account and now they block it ?????
Little late and beside that i did send it to my auntie!!! What scam!!!!!!!!

Disgusting company

PayPal is a disgusting company. I accidentally did business with a thief/scammer, and upon realising this immediately requested a refund. This resulted in a ticket being opened in order for PayPal to verify the validity of my refund request. I provided abundant evidence, including literally 8 screenshots, proving my claim - PayPal closed the ticket without ANY explanation and withdrew the money from my account (in other words, they sided with the thief/scammer) and clearly ignored the overwhelming evidence I provided.

It's made me realise - PayPal is a disgusting company. There's a reason they have a 1 star rating here on TrustPilot. They protect thieves and clearly don't give a crap about their users. If you're a thief, use PayPal, you'll appreciate how supportive they are of you. If you value honesty and integrity, PayPal unfortunately lacks both of those qualities and could result in bad experiences.

For me it's clear - I would never use PayPal again unless I had no other choice. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

I posted years ago a 1 star review about Paypal because this is a horrible company. They just froze my company account because we changed the ownership (I took it over from my father). No customer support, no help. I had to stalk PayPal executives on linkedin to get any response. Even sending written letter with printed copies of documents to their luxembourg office didn't get any response. Now I got a message that they removed their listing from google maps and consequently my review has been removed. At google reviews they also have 1 star...

Now in 2025 again I have a problem with this company that is not the result of any action from our side. I have 30 something euro in my sleeping paypal business account because they offered appaerently a customer to send us money via paypal (we don't use paypal and never request money via paypal but they must have matched our e-mail to the sleeping paypal account and offered someone to send the money via paypal).

Paypal refuses to send the money back to the customer and want to take a rediculous commission to transfer it to our account. To save time I decided to take the loss and pay the rediculous commission and then because we don't use paypal they said our bank account was no longer verified/valid and that was a reson form them to charge us a "bounce" fee.

You call and explain everything and they just ignore you. I don't understand how state financial controller in luxembourg is apporving their yearly accounts because they are just confiscating money that doesn't belong to them.

Just horrible, don't ever open an account with them and stay away. As business they scam you with rediculous fees as consumer you get stuff for free but they sell your data to 100+ companies ("partners").

PayPal's system of refunds is deeply…

PayPal's system of refunds is deeply flawed. The company we complained about and sought a refund from submitted flawed information. We provided documented evidence that PayPal ignored and declined our information, even after we showed undeniable evidence. This happened to us once before. Do not trust PayPal, and do not use it if you can avoid using PayPal.

BAD SERVICE, zero protection to the buyers

First time I needed Paypal to protect my buyer rights- they left me dealing with issues on my own. Now Im looking for a different way to process my payments from credit card as Paypal not only did a bad job fulfilling their part of the job, but also blamed me for the poor job at their end.
I have returned the goods I bought from Carpisa.it but no refund so far. After multiple failed attempts trying to resolve the issue with the seller directedly, I opened a dispute via Paypal and did mention that seller has not responded to my emails. My expectation from Paypal was that they would contact the seller and , in case of no response, they will resolve the issue in my favor as I have returned the goods on time and by using the curriers provided by the seller self. I was checking the status of my claim via paypal app and not via my emails, same as I do with other companies (like aliexpress). However, Paypal sent an email to me saying that I would need to escalate the issue for them to resolve it(?!) and none of that was mentioned in the app. As it was around xmas holidays , I have not been checking my emails and missed their reminders. Result: Paypal has closed the case in favor of the seller ( who still did not pay me back) and , according to paypal idiotic policy I can not reopen the case??!
When I spoke on the phone with one of their client service employees and asked her to reopen or help me any other ways as it is costing me ~190 eur which is not small amount- she said that there is nothing they can do as I have not followed their process and did not escalated on time. She also said that apparently they dont even look in to the opened claims unless they are escalated which is not the service they promises to their customers! I mean what is the point of opening these complains if they are not even looking at them and the customers have to do all the work dealing with the fraud?
After almost an hour of listening to the automatic answers, I have tried to appeal to a human side of that girl asking her to put herself in the shoes of the customer who is being screwed by the buyer while Paypal is doing nothing about. She said and I quote : " it would never happened to me as I would escalate on time".
I really hope that she would get the same poor service from another company one day and learn not to put herself above her clients!

They hold my top up money for 13 days already!

I don't know what happened to PayPal recently but I have now a big problem with them. I missed a payment for a couple of days and then they asked me to top up my negative balance on their site. I had more than a half of the needed amount and I tried to top up using IDeal but it was not working (probably it doesn't work with some specific browsers) so I decided to top up via bank transfer from PayPal site. It was saying that they money will come in 2-3 working days maximum. I did so but they put my money on hold for 12 days and started to ask for more money immediately without returning this amount!
I wrote many times to support team but it's useless. They keep on threatening me to close my account even though they have my money already for 13 days (and even more amount than needed).

Hello Pinelopi, I thought there was buyer protection. Litfad lies about delivery times and the product was and is not delivered. Then you have rights, right?
In the future, please do not close any case until you have a final resolution - either the refund, or the product in your hands.

Mr Jacob, I'm very sorry about this, but the decision remains the same since you closed the dispute before it was resolved. The Seller's actions have been reported, but we cannot re open a dispute that was closed by the buyer.

Sorry but I can´t stand injustice! You do offer the possibility to reopen a case. I did that too. But Paypal did nothing with that.

Mr Jacob, as explained in the previous messages, you did not reopen the same case. You changed the reason code, declaring a different issue, which was also not accepted.

The case cannot be reopened. You can follow up with the case outside of PayPal by contacting the local authorities, or any local organization that will help you with your consumer rights.

Paypal is untrustworthy

Paypal is associated with a large influencer scam through the Honey browser extension.
It has also gotten worse as a service to the point where it's no longer trustworthy.

Buyer protection it's worthless.

We bought a wheelchair online and used PayPal for buyer protection. Parts of the item were missing and we tried to resolve this with the company itself. They promised to send it over, and promised it day after day until we lost faith. At that time we were convinced that PayPal would help us based on buyer protection.
Their reply: it has been more than 30 days so we will not accept the case.

We will never, never use PayPal again.

Buyer protection is a scam

I never received my order and for two months I've tried to resolve this with the seller. Seller gave no help or response.
I've never received my order or money back.

I decided to get money back via Paypal cause the order was eligible for buyer protection. I've opened a case to request the money back and they closed it against me since the seller has sent the package to me. They might've sent it but I've never gotten it,
that was the whole issue. Ridiculous.

Zero protection for a buyer apparently. Money lost

Paypal is a very scary company

Paypal is a very scary company. I ran my business with them for years. But all of a sudden they have decided to hold my funds. There are no open disputes or claims I have creditcard and bank connected and I do €5k of outgoing transactions with them.

Confusing, unhelpful and not client friendly

Ordered something online last month but cancelled it because there had been a mistake during the ordering process and one of the items I did want was actually already sold out. (This was not PayPal's fault of course).
I was refunded for the order by PayPal because I cancelled the order, but now almost a month later they tell me I have a debt to pay for that order.... Which was cancelled.... Meaning I never got anything that I'd have to pay for....
So after messaging and calling them they basically tell me it's my own responsibility (which doesn't make sense because I paid the full amount and was then refunded BY PAYPAL). But no, that's the way it works so pay up or the debt will grow. I apparently 'lost' my buyer protection they speak so fondly of somehow. The only possibility was asking the online seller to refund me. Which is just ??????

Customer service was utterly confusing and unhelpful. They just lost themselves a client with this stunt, that's for sure.

PayPal is getting worse!

PayPal was good but now it is getting worse. It protects frauds online. When supplied proof to PayPal of the fraud they use old systems like signature from a local police agent and written paper.

The fraud person will not be blocked by PayPal and can proceed with their frauds.

Criminals are protected on this platform. and bad customer assistance. The fee for using this system is absurd! Only use it for small payment. Big payment should be done though you bank account, Klarna or Wise. Buyers protection is a joke.

When all goes well it is a good platform to use and the app work good (therefore 2 stars) but do the following if you want to use PayPal:

- Use a prepaid Credit card preferably.
- Or open and extra account at you bank and no possibility to go below zero.
- Deposit the money on that bank account or prepaid Credit card when you buy something.
- Keep the amount low.
- When you have problems redraw any money from this account so they cannot redraw it.
- Do not deposit money on your PayPal account for the above reason.

Unauthorized moneytransfer from my account by PayPal

PayPal made an unauthorized payment for a donation to somebody in the USA. I happend to see it in advance. So I requested them several times not to transfer the money. But a day later they transferred the money anyway increased with bankcharges. They advise me to ask the money back from the person to whom the money was transferred, So despite my clear and repeated request not to transfer the money. That is what I call an unauthorized banktransfer from mine PayPal balance.
The communication of PayPal is miserable. I received 20 emails within a few days, even several mails within a few minutes probably madeautomatically by bot machines. There is not any possibility to argue with them. They do not listen at all to my arguements. They lay down a decision, which is not at all documented or covered by hard facts. Anyway they do not take any responsibility and are acting extremely unfriendly. So my advice is do not open a PayPal account. They are not reliable.
