President's Choice

President's Choice
I'm really disappointed with the PC points program. I'm missing 50,000 points from offer's a week & a half ago.
I've called 4 times.
1st from the store before leaving to go home. I was on hold almost 30 min.
2nd when I got home almost a 2hr phone call to a call center in South Africa with poor service.
3rd over an hour call to a call center in the Philippines given a tracking number told 24-48 hrs to resolve.
4th call 4 days later trying to give extra time to resolve, to the Brampton Head office. I said to reception that I would like to talk with someone locally. Transferred to somewhere in Asia ( she wouldn't say what country) & told me it's still under review.
I purchased your gift card offers in good faith to give as Christmas gifts & was intending to use the bonus points to help another family for their groceries over the holidays.

I'm extremely disappointed & dissatisfied with what's taken place, how it's been handled & the amount of time it's taken making these phone calls.
I expect to be credited with the points offered & at this point there should be extra for good will, customer loyalty and the excessive amount of time invested in this inconvenience.

Fresh co, food basics & Walmart are as close to home or closer. Should I start shopping there? Instead of no frills?

It should also be noted that I've been a loyal customer building up in excess of 1,000,000 PC points.

If I could give zero stars I would.

If I could give zero stars I would.
First Tried to link PC Financialto my PC Optimum card on November 13th, Its now December 8th and I cant link the accounts. I obtained the PC express card in part to get free PC express. Now I can't place delivery orders without paying for the service. I have contacted PC Financial a few times and they refer me to PC optimum so they are useless. PC Optimum who I contact weekly has over the last mont, promised me the proble would be corrected shortly. E mails that I receive tell me that the problem was rectified (Turns out they had just deleted multiple case numbers though I go through a detailed history on my each time I call). For the last 4 weeks the issue has been assigned to specialists. When I ask to speak to a supervisir I am told that is not possible at that time but on 3 occassions I was told that I would get a call back but that never happened), Extremely disappointed long term PCOptimum cliet.

horrible customer service

horrible customer service. apparently, there is a glitch in my account due to which i don't get points for purchases at all using my phone number linked to the account. I tried to explain it to them thousand times but i get the same answer that i haven't used my card or phone number. I don't know if I was talking to a robo or a human. but if it was a human, they need to be trained MORE. Still i don't get points. Stopped using it.

Concerning this Shoppers drug mart…

Concerning this Shoppers drug mart WHEELS OF DEAL game I was eligible to play to earn PC points, I couldn’t play it with my phone and after several trials, I called their customer service and I waited for more than 30mins for an agent to answer me and he transferred my call to another agent and I had to wait for more than 1hour to be answered and still no response. PC customer service is whack . A whole one hour wait with no response??? That was the worst experience ever. I had to buy my beauty products without any points back.
THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER. I was actually standing at Shoppers drug mart for this whole experience. Imagine standing and waiting to be attended to for more than 1hr and still no response.
I WONT ADVISE ANYONE TO GET THIS APP. PERIOD!!!

I have had my issues with the PC…

I have had my issues with the PC Optimum, especially with their customer service when it came to points adjustments. I used the app to make all points adjustment requests. All of the small points amounts would be adjusted quickly but any time I shopped for a 20x points event and didn't receive the points, it became a nightmare to get an adjustment. I would have to send in as many as 5 requests before it was finally adjusted. The only way I seem to get any results is after I speak my unfiltered mind. Here's what I messaged them to make a 15000 points adjustment. I said "The question that's popping into my mind at nausea is what in the hell is wrong with you people? How many bloody times do I have to come here and repeat the points adjustment? If you don't like your job, then quit. If you can't keep up or do your job, definitely quit. Clients who experience this as I do will be glad you quit so I won't have to do this over and over." In one other adjustment request it was my 5th attempt where I said to them..."Your program has gotten pretty cheap and your customer service, well, let's say I'm embarrassed for you. I'm going to Shoppers to tell the owner that I may no longer shop at his store (permanently) due to PC Optimum customer service being so damn lousy/unprofessional." I used to get a 20x the points coupon in my app quite frequently, even around times where the flyer had a 20x points event on the Saturday and Sunday. The amounts I had to spend weren't unreasonable either. But that's all changed as I no longer receive any of those 20x coupons in my app and I haven't had one for over 3 yrs. The 20x points events come around in the flyer now with less frequency but even then they come not poised as a reward Loblaw Companies wants and hopes you'll believe it is but, rather they're using it's influence to get you to spend and make them more profit. They are tricking you. The Shopper's flyer runs from Friday to Thursday but none of the items in the flyer are available until Saturday. Many of the 20x points events in the flyer have been saying you have to shop on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday's left to receive a much less valuable so-called reward like a $20 restaurant gift card which expires inside of 3 weeks. They want you in shopping on that FRIDAY. Why? Because you will always pay full price for items you might mistakenly think are on sale when they are in the flyer but are in fact not on sale until Saturday.

When I check out the flyers in the PC app and it appears that there are points to be had that weekend they have also be throwing in the mystery item to entice us. Yes, this would be another profit making and less a valued customer reward thing that you might be influenced enough to fall for. They want you to shop and spend the required amount in order to receive your mystery gift. I once had a mystery gift of a free box of cereal. It's not a mystery if you already know what it is before you shop and I had spent nearly twice the minimum required thinking I would receive a 20x or 25000 bonus points. They told me the box of cereal was my mystery gift. I said "who in their right mind would come and spend over 140 bucks for a damn box of cereal, when I already have a dozen boxes in my cupboard at home?" I reiterated that a mystery is only a mystery if we don't know what it is before hand. I fought for the points I thought I deserved and in the end I got them. I say to everyone "don't shop at Shoppers Drug Mart or any other location that follows the same or similar flyer schedule where one of the days have you paying regular prices." Loblaw Companies Ltd owns PC Optimum and Shoppers Drug Mart and a host of others so a review here should also be linked and expressed throughout the entire group of companies.

I would give a zero if I could

I would give a zero if I could. I download my offers every week and scan my PC OptimumTM App. Now if the points don’t show up on my card, there’s no help to remedy the problem. The virtual assistant is useless. I can’t add my points myself and scan my receipt anymore. The app is pretty useless. It takes forever to collect points and they’ve made it so you have to spend more and more money to collect them when prices are already ridiculously high. I’m very disappointed with the App.

this programme is biased against…seniors and singletons

this programme is biased against seniors, singletons and frugal shoppers. Many, if not most of the offers ask for large purchases to earn points. For example today my offer of "spend $200 to earn 20,000 points is ludicrous. Many of the "offers" are junk food and the day to day essentials do not earn points. Taking these issues into account along with the higher pricing that is evident in Atlantic Superstores this is not a valuable programme. So far this week I have spent over $70 and earned no points. Little incentive to shop there other than the "member pricing" that does, occasionally benefit me. The Superstores are not value or money for regular, day to day shopping and , we are, essentially paying for any points earned through a higher price.

Should be 0

Should be 0. Went to load offers and it would not let me. Their virtual assistant is USELESS. After a 30-minute wait, someone answered, and the card, in theory, is activated, but all points are missing, and I can't face another extended time on hold. Of course, there is no email option

Before going to shoppers I always check…

Before going to shoppers I always check the app/flyers and my points to see how to get the best bang for my buck😊, and the best way to gain more points. Iam very low income so the program helps in many ways. But a few weeks ago I had gained a possible 25,000 through the wheel. I needed to spend $75 to get it. Plus I had a extra loadable 10,000 points, plus over 10,000 on the APP.
I went through the actual till at the Parkland shoppers with a lovely woman working there. She helped me immensely with reaching the $75, and not having to buy more or less. We got there at $75.63 before tax, but it wasn't showing up on the receipt, she also had called for a manager, who also was patient, kind and willing to help. We figured it might take s few days to show. When none of the extra points didn't show I called optimum customer service☹️. Now, I know about the recycling fees don't count, and I thought the ladies also knew (they truly did not know that little tidbit). The lady at customer service informed me that I was missing $.36 cents to hit the $75. I was upset, and asked if anything could be done about it. She just said "no, sorry. Was there anything eles I can help you with".....so I was missing 25,000+10,000 points, thats $40 (with the poinys already earned) of groceries i no longer have. I did phone the location and spoke with I believe was Dawn, could be wrong, and the other young lady who felt really bad about nit knowing that info, but to call optimum head office and speak with a supervisor. First person I spoke to was awesome and understood the situation. He than put me trough to a supervisor, sorry, I have the name but its a special kind of name that I can't pronounce or spell. Within telling him my problem and why its making me so upset me decided to give me full points😀😀. We did not have to argue, he understood the situation completely and was patient.
I did have all names involved, sadly the paper was thrown away.
-Parkland shoppers customer service person (5)
-Parkland shoppers manager. Dawn?(5)
-Home office, 1 male customer service (5)
-home office supervisor (8)....if it could go that high 😊

If I could give 0 stars......

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The staff handling my request for points for my PC Mobile auto debit are the most incompetent I have ever come across. After I submitted my request, there were numerous exchanges of email, requesting for more information and my providing them in response. They also requested for the same information multiple times! And apparently, my request was so complex that it had to be escalated to a supervisor multiple times, which proved useless. The complaints handling staff are doing their employer a disservice and should be sacked.

Around Christmas time in 2024

Around Christmas time in 2024, PC Optimum sent out promo of purchasing select gift cards and earn 20000 points per every $100 spent in those gift cards and stated the bonus points will be awarded in 6 to 8 weeks which will be in Feb 2025, I purchased gift cards value of $2500 and they wouldn’t award me the points as promised and kept saying problems will be resolved and it has been over 8 months . They are not reliable program at all, will not fall into the same scam by pc optimum again

Grossly incompetent levels of “customer…

Grossly incompetent levels of “customer service”. A simple request to replace a damaged card (numbers faded) turned into an almost 2 hour wait on the phone, being bounced from one unskilled employee to another.
I suppose this is what Canadians get when there are so few options, and companies monopolize on that fact. Mediocrity at its finest.

Member pricing offer not honored.

Constantly having problems with PC Optimum Todays problem was that I was supposed to get members price on up to four of the item but only got on one. All were purchased at the same time Could not resolve the issue at the store as the offer is immediately remove from offers because of the purchase of the one . We are begining to to do most of our shopping at stores not associated with Lablaws as PC Optimum is so bad.

Points getting more and more difficult to earn, unless you spend ALOT of money every week...

I have generally had good experiences with PC Optimum, but within the last little while the options to earn points has gotten more difficult unless you are willing or able to spend ALOT of money every week.
They are too focused on - "if you spend $20 on canned foods you will get X amount of points" or "$50 on poultry you will get X amount of points" etc etc, and the options within your personal sectiin are getting fewer and fewer.
This week i have been given 7 personal options and the choices are pretty much the same week to week no matter what i buy in the store.
Then I have over 10 options where I have to spend $20 - $50 on certain items to gain points, which maybe ok if you are buying for a family, but what about couples or singletons? They don't need to spend a huge amount EVERY week or cannot afford to buy in bulk.
Come On PC Optimum don't ruin a good thing by getting greedy !!
