PC Optimum card useless
PC Optimum card on its own is basically useless for grocery purchases. You have to use one of PC's credit cards to get points. Or you have to check weeky offers and if you'll be purchasing those specific items you'll earn some points.(but only if you load those offers)
Deceptive Advertising
These guys use deceptive advertising about the points. I had few occasions where I was not awarded the points. Recently I bought from Joe Fresh, in September 2024, and received only half the points. For the balance I have been emailing and calling (with 2 hours wait time) but to no avail. Very disappointed.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Went into a Shoppers today to use my points on a Bonus Redemption offer. The cashier did the transaction and although the points came off my account, the amount couldn't be deducted from my bill. So I left the store with no products and no more points!! Store claims they can't reinstate points to an account you have to go through PC Optimum customer service. Called the number. Estimated wait time "2 HOURS!" WTH??? What kind of racket is this company running? Why it is so hard to get points back from a system error?
Submitted a points inquiry online. I don't expect to see my 50000 points again! If not, that's it for SDM, Superstore and any and all PC Optimum points associated companies. Some of the worst customer service (in-store, phone, etc.) I have ever experienced!

I have been using my shoppers drug mart and PC Card for years. Impossible to redeem points. No help online. Phone help is a two hour wait. If I do get this resolved I will spend the 200 dollars in points then it’s never again for pc.

My account is set to earn and redeem. On Friday, October 18, I purchased 3 6-oz of blueberries at the Superstore on Weston Rd. and was supposed to get 3,000 points as per their flyer (October 17-23), however, the points were not loaded. Went to the customer service desk and they tried to add the points as "goodwill" points, I guess that is the only way they have to do the adjustment. The transaction would not go through, and the message did not make any sense ("Set to earn points only", which is wrong as my profile indicates earn & redeem). Regardless, even if it were set to earn only, which is not, there should not be issues adding points. The customer service people at the front were really nice and tried several times with no success. I went back on Saturday, October 19, to try again (they had written the issue on the receipt), however, no luck. The person asked me to contact PC Optimum as they could not fix the issue. First, their website only has the bot which is totally useless and not able to get a live rep. No phone listed, however a google search gave me a phone number to call, and currently waiting for 50 min for somebody to answer the phone.

Can't redeem over 270$ of points…
Can't redeem over 270$ of points because something is "locked". Log in, everything looks fine, call customer support, on hold over an hour, still waiting for service. I feel like I'm being scammed, don't have these problems with Scene card.

Been sitting on hold for over an hour and half to see why I can’t redeem points as used to be able to until a month ago.
After 20 minutes the on hold music stopped but I can hear noise every once in a while like they are trying to fix and shows I am still connected.
Why is this so difficult! I have checked my settings on the app and says I can earn and redeem but when I tried to get answers by email all I got was information on how to connect the PC financial card! Uggggghhhh!

Photos being held hostage by PC optimum
I cant access my photos or albums on the shoppers photo site. My PC optimum login is not working. I have been trying for 2 days and still no access to the site. I called PC optimum customer service only to have them tell me that all my info is up to date and this is a Shoppers drug Mart issue. I was put on hold and transferred to Shoppers drug Mart for assistance. Shoppers drug Mart agent to me "no" this is a PC optimum issue "let me transfer you to PC optimum agent" PC optimum customer service is the worst in have ever experienced. I have no way of accessing my personal photos which are being held hostage by a company that doesn't know what the heck it is doing. Not one agent was will to go out of their way to assist, All they keeping doing is passing me back and forth. i would at this point like to break ties with PC optimum.Again, because they are holding my family photos hostage on a site that cant acess I fear losing these photos for good.

PC Optimum is a complete scam with non-existent customer service
It's bad enough that PC Optimum used to be great - was easy to collect points quickly - and now it takes forever to accumulate points, but the customer service is appalling. If emailed, the response is a standard form-letter response that is in NO WAY helpful or related to the issue, saying someone will get back to you but NO ONE EVER DOES. Or, the response says to click the link to provide more info. The link opens up a new email but is missing the "to" address! I am constantly getting emails telling me I missed out because I didn't load my offers but I can't log in to do so and no one at PC seems to care. This is now the second time in a year that I haven't been able to log in. Last time, I called and was told I had to call each time I wanted to load points. I was assured it was being done on their end but it was a lie because I continued to get emails telling me my points weren't loaded. I finally changed my password and was able to log in - through NO HELP from PC. I am sick of changing my password every 6 months. PC Optimum (ever since PC merged with Shopper's Optimum) is a complete scam.

Horrible service. They give u PC offers but when u check out they do t show up on ur bill. Then u make a complaint to get the points and they never get back to u. Back to food basics.
The worst customer service ever!!!
The worst customer service ever!!!! They locked my PC optimum account due to not logging in for over a year. I don't log in because the main household user has an account and activates the offers therefore I have no reason to log in and linked to my credit card. Anyways I have over $180 to redeem which I haven't been able to use in over 3 weeks because again instead of contacting us they locked us out. I have spoken to 2 people to deal with this issue( over 4 hours on the phone because goodluck trying to get someone from customer service in under an hour). Both giving different reasons. I'm expecting a baby in 3 days and I would have loved to been able to redeem to save some money but they haven't been able to deal with this issue. I asked for compensation due to the stress and they can't do anything. I asked to speak with someone who can and they said they can't do that. So what can you do. I got so frustrated with the lady I ended up telling her off and she had to hang up because that's they only way they can disconnect a call if you tell them off. I admit I was in the wrong but omg please avoid this credit card and optimum card because you will thank me in the long run. The amount of stress while being pregnant hasn't been healthy and especially during times like today, saving money is near impossible and to have your account locked has caused us to go out of pocket.
Difficulty redeeming points and reaching the call center
I’ve been having difficulty redeeming points for various things, ie, car washes at Esso.
I’ve tried calling the 800 number for PC Optimum on a couple of occasions. Both times I’ve had to wait on hold for over 45 minutes.
THIS IS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE!!
Someone at Loblaws needs to be made aware of this and the company needs to get this sorted out. At the least, a call centre that services customers of Loblaws and its many affiliated companies needs to be put to action and resolve this problem.

I purchased groceries at SuperValue…
I purchased groceries at Super Valu today and when I went to open the app to scan the card, it wouldn't open. In fact I had no internet service inside the store at all. I had to take all my groceries over to Customer Service to see if they could get my account open and no way would it load. They gave me my receipt and told me to call and get my points put on my account. I came home and called PC Optimum, waited over an hour on the line and had to verify my acct. I gave her my email address linked to the acct. Had to do it phonetically every single letter. After that she said because I was giving her the numbers from the app instead of my card, which should be the same..she asked me to verify some things, including the email address I just gave to her..after all that I was told that in order for me to get my points, I had to scan the card at checkout. I explained that it wouldn't open at checkout and she just ignored what I said and stated that the terms specifically state that if I don't scan the card, then I don't get the points. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that I couldn't because of call volume. After 57 minutes on the line, I'm thinking they may have 2 people working CSR. I have been with this company since they opened here and had PC optimum since it started. Now they have lost me and my family. I will not shop there again. Sobey's here I come.

Worst service. They freeze your account so you cannot redeem your points. Gonna have to stop using this and will switch to a different credit card. Issue still is not resolved

Been on hold for an hour+ , and this is the 3 rd time I have tried but life happens and I have to hang up it takes so long. and then on a sunday I was online for half hour and then the recording finally mentioned they were closed on Sundays!
Absolute hate for this s*itty company
Absolute hate for this s*itty company. 1 hour on hold listening to the same 7 guitar notes to resolve a hold THEY put on my card, stopping me from redeeming $200 of points. I've called 3 times now to resolve this issue. These people are useless.
