Customers frequently encountered issues with their points not being added correctly, and found the retail offers to be limited or irrelevant to their needs. Some people were dissatisfied with the product offerings, noting that many promotions focused on junk food rather than daily essentials. However, a few other people also felt that the company showed willingness to fix faulty situations, and some even had positive experiences with specific customer service representatives who were patient and helpful.

Verification code never comes

Needed to sign in my PC Express account to make an order. The sign-in required a verification code sent to registered email. The code never arrived. Attempted for two days, no luck. The email works fine and junk/spam filtering is not the cause. The same happened to the PC Optimum account. Called CS, they said they cannot do anything since it's a technical issue. Emailed technical support and received an autoreply with a ticket number and an expected wait time 3-5 biz days which makes a calendar week. It's ridiculous to wait at least a week to be able to sign in own account. If and when it's fixed, first thing I will do is to disable the 2-step verification since it doesn't work properly.

I have been trying to get my email…

I have been trying to get my email address changed to a new one for YEARS. I no longer have access to my old email and they say an account with my current email is suspended for inactivity. They can create a request to reactivate but will take "some time". When I was annoyed I was told they will have to "Disconnect the Call" when I asked why? I was told I needed to talk calm. Then I asked what the representatives name was and she hung up. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. You cannot get even the simplest things done with this company.

I have been trying to get my PC…

I have been trying to get my PC Mastercard and PC Optimum cards linked since September of 2023. Like other customers, I have been given a case number and have been told too many times to mention that my issue will be resolved in 24 to 48 hours or sometimes it’s 3 to 5 business days. What an absolute joke! I call customer service weekly and hear the same story over and over again! I am probably owed hundreds of thousands of points. So frustrating to say the least.

Lost my pc card

Lost my pc card. They gave me another card at the store and told me to register it with the on-line ap which I had. The password that I had recorded did not work. So I entered FORGOT PASSWORD and my email address. I was suppose to receive an email from them with further instructions. I keep trying and wasting my time. I phoned there help service but I cant get a real person. Instead a robot asks me to give my PC card number which I can't because it is lost. Very annoying and frustrating. Maybe time to start shopping elsewhere.

Do they do it on purpose???

I had the same problem as a lot of you did.
I placed an order of $299.61 at No Frills. The offer this week was 25000 for $250 order. Since I had bad experience with points, I went $50 over the requested minimum order.
This morning, I checked my order and the total charged was $242. I lost the 25000 points for 8 dollars. I don't know what is missing in the order, but looks like they are doing it on purpose. It happened to me at least 3 times.
This time, instead of the 39000 total I was supposed to get, I got 13000.
I don't know why.
I called the customer service, but they said that since is not a recurring order, they can't do anything.
I don't know if it is worth.

Frustrating and Deceiving Offers

I recently had an offer for “spend $200 on almost anything in store or with pc express online grocery” so I ordered subtotal $211.60 on pc express to pickup the next day. A few items were out of stock when they filled my order so my bill came to $184.46. Customer service is refusing to give me my 30000 points even though I spent the required $200 on my express order. It’s not my fault that the store was out of milk and dunkaroos! Very frustrating as I never would have bothered placing an order had I known this would happen. Contacted customer service 3 times and they’re refusing to honour the offer. What a complete waste of my time.

Reversed Points Balance because their shoppers suck

They reversed my earned points on an order because of their own mistake. I received an offer for points if an order exceeded $100. After I picked up that order I realized that one item was missing completely (but I was charged for it, it was not cancelled!) and some items were of poor quality (package not sealed etc), so I returned them at customer service at the store and got a credit for the missing item, which brought my total 50 CENTS (!!!) under the required $100. However I did re-purchase the items because I actually needed them. They had the nerve to reverse the points and after contacting customer service I got a standard response. When I explained what had happened in more detail they just ghosted me, never got any reply at all again. Customer service is a joke.

It is illegal for PC to bait consumers with points offers and not reward them

If you believe you have been deceived, you may contact:
The Competition Bureau by using their online complaint form, your provincial or territorial consumer affairs office, the Better Business Bureau, or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre

I do my shopping based on the bonus offers on my app and on flyer offers. I increasingly dont receive all my points. My view is that PC Optimum baits shoppers and do not forward the points. When I do a points inquiry with my receipt reference #, date, details of the offer, and points missing, PC would reward the missing points. Now, PC requests the receipt and proof of offer details, which they already have and suggest that my purchase min didnt meet the required amount spent, when it did. I would phone PC customer service and they would reward the missing points. My last missing point inquiry was escalated to some specialist to respond 3-5 days which has not responded yet. We should all report PC because what they are doing is not any more legal than bait and switch, they are baiting and not forthcoming with their offerupon our purchase.

terrible company

I wish that I could give them zero stars. The worse point system ever. I received an email a few days ago for a transaction made downtown Montreal at 10pm at night when I was home with my kids on the east side of Montreal. I called customer to inform them, they agent who I had trouble understanding told me she will block the account and will send me a link to change my password which I never received. I went to my account and reset the password myself and call them back only to tell me they will look into it and will get back to me. I received an email today saying I never told them my card was stolen mind you I haven’t used my card in years I only use the app and on top of that they said the transaction was made close to my house which is complete BS because the email confirming the transaction had the address on it. They refused to refund me the 10K points that was stolen from my account. It is absolutely disappointing. I hate this company. It is a big company they should learn to treat their customers better. The customer service is one of the worst I have experienced.

The points offers are mostly useless…

The points offers are mostly useless now because they are not for anything I ever bought or would buy. Spend $50 on something to get points???? Those are the worst. Also, so many times I don’t get the points I earned and have to send an inquiry. And then they don’t give me all the points I am owed, and will not respond to my emails when I question them. The program started out great, but now, is just plain stupid.

I've seen a lot of point systems

I've seen a lot of point systems, but unlike optimum point system at Loblaws I have not seen. It is by far the cheapest, stingiest and worst point collection I have ever experienced. How much money do you have to spend in order to collect points? Over the last four purchases which each purchase averaged about $150, I have not even collected a single point. Even though every Thursday I receive an email from them to activate deals of the week or whatever it is and I activate yet I still do not collect any points. This company is by far the cheapest when it comes to points and the prices are not that cheap when it comes to grocery prices. This company is an absolute rip off whether you shop at Superstore, No frills or any of its other subsidiaries, they are all expensive and the point system sucks. I'm thinking about just canceling this whole point collection and probably cancel shopping there altogether.

One of the worst customer service I…

One of the worst customer service I have ever seen. If you can understand the person on the other end of the phone due to a language barrier than you’ve at least made some headway. Beyond that all they do is give you tons of case numbers tell you they’re going to help you give you 500 numbers to call and nothing gets resolved. I have not been able to get my pc health app points transferred over to my pc optimum card because no one knows what to do and it’s been years since I have been able to use my pharmacy online as this was messed up as well. This has been a complete disaster it’s just awful. Worst horrible service of my life! Dianne

Verifying PC Optimum Points is Beyond Frustrating

We also have recently started checking our PC Financial World Elite credit card transactions to awarded PC Optimum Points. What we have found is that sometimes the correct points are awarded soon after the purchase is made. However, most of the time, the points are delayed, incorrect or are missing completely. This is where the nightmare begins.
After submitting an inquiry, you will get a standard reply with an assigned case number. Next, they will ask for additional information. After you email the additional requested information, you will not hear back from them. When you finally call them to follow up on the status of your inquiry, you will be on hold for a long time. On our last phone call, when we finally got through to a body, the person we spoke to could not find our inquiry and was not able to provide any assistance. In addition, you will not be able to escalate this to a Supervisor. Out of frustration we asked where they were located. The response we got was South Africa!!
What we have found out through our numerous inquiries is that transactions of different dates may be lumped together and all of the points that you have earned are not awarded at once. In addition, PC Optimum does not provide any reference to a retailer and receipt amount when they do post points to your account. You will see points awarded but you do not know what transaction(s) they pertain to. This makes it virtually impossible to reconcile. Also, why are points delayed? If points for a gas fill at PC Mobil show up immediately, then why is it that the points for Shoppers Drug Mart or affiliated Loblaws stores do not show up in the full earned amount immediately? Why is the PC Optimum program so complicated?
With significant improvements in several areas, PC Optimum could be the best reward program in Canada.

All points offerings have just been…

All points offerings have just been slashed by 50% on all products! Recently i was told i wasn't an Optimum member (even though i earned 310,000 points last year! ) so wasn't eligible for the 6800 points i was due. It still hasnt been resolved!

Verifying Optimum points is very difficult!

Our issue all started when we noticed some transactions that never received any points. So we started reviewing other transactions by trying to cross-reference our Optimum transactions against our PC MasterCard transactions. This became quite convoluted because:
1. Shoppers Drug Mart transactions are delayed
2. Any transactions outside of Loblaws owned stores simply show as PC Financial transactions with no other information to validate (merchant name, $ amount, etc)
Compare this to Scotiabank & Scene points and there's a huge difference as you can easily cross reference here,
In contacting Optimum they responded by providing a PC Financial email to write to.
In writing to that PC Financial contact email we received a response advising us to contact Optimum.
Then there's the phone call we asked for....someone did call, left a message with a call back phone number but provided no name of who we should ask for. Turns out the number was their generic phone line where you have to go through way too many prompts and info messages then wait, and wait to speak to a real person. When we did, that person knew nothing about our issue, despite several emails we had sent. So we had to repeat our lousy experience.
Conclusion: we are now shopping in different stores where we can use our Scene card and our Scotiabank credit card so PC loses out by, deservedly, losing our business on their credit card and in their stores.
By the way, we are still waiting for a response to our last email.....which likely will never come.

BEWARE

BEWARE! Was given a one day offer by email on November 29/23 ‘Get 50,000 PC Optimum bonus points + redeem now …’. Great, so I thought. Researched to find the minimum purchase was $150. before tax. Spent $170+tax (first online Shoppers purchase) and used 120,000 points worth $150. After many, many attempts, am being told that $150 had to be spent after the points redemption to qualify for the 50,000 bonus.
I’ve used these types of offers in store and never had a problem until now - bait and switch advertising!
The the entire order would have been returned but it was for Christmas gifts - shame on you for false advertising.

Ripping customers off

Point redemption thst wasn’t mine. Refused to give points back. Basically said I was lying and had lost an actual card as to Why someone else had it and since I not report it lost it my fault. Hard to report a card we never had. Told everyone checks online to see how many active cards on account and I should have known. There is NO option to delete cards not yours.
Did everything they asked me while being assured I get my points back and they didn’t do anything they said such as locking account or sending password reset. Or report cards lost.
The employees on call to solve this are rude and have all different stories depending who you talk to.
Their online security is weak and not the first time my account been taken over.
Canadian company but customer always wrong. So disappointed. Will not continue to shop there
