Swing issue on refrigerator

Jason the the high end kitchen area in hauppauge delivered the wrong swing on a 12,000 $ refrigerator. THE CUSTOMER WROTE DOWN WHAT THEY WANTED AND HE SAYS ME THE CONTRACTOR CHANGED THE ORDER. FIRST OF ALL ALL SWINGS MUST BE DOCUMENTED ON PAPER AND SIGNED AND SECONDLY IM NOT THE CUSTOMER.

I Wish I Had Read These Negative Reviews Before Shopping Here!!

I really wish I had read these reviews before purchasing a large appliance from my local PC Richards store. I thought maybe my awful experience was a fluke but it is almost IDENTICAL to another person's 1-star review experience. I am still in the midst of my nightmare and don't want to keep reliving it by writing out every detail here ... suffice it to say, if you want to get a straight answer about anything or honest communication (including the fact that my product was out-of-stock when I purchased it!!), and if you feel that you are entitled to have said (not inexpensive) product delivered to your home in under three weeks, PLEASE DON'T SHOP HERE.

We purchase a refrigerator from PC Richards a year and a half ago and we also purchase the extended warranty, the refrigerator completely stop working about 2-3 weeks since then we been getting the round around from PC Richard someone came and said the compression need to be replaced and they have to order the parts to replace the old one, last week!! the day when the technician was scheduled to come and install the parts, they called and said the parts was defective they have to reorder when that technician came he said another technician was supposed to come with him that day. However, the other technician was no where to be found, that person was suppose to put in the gas that was last week and we called and told them they said Monday which was yesterday and we waited all day no one came and we called and it’s nothing but excuses and run around they do not care we had to throw out all our food in the refrigerator no refrigerator for 3 weeks it’s a huge inconvenience and they DO NOT CARE…please do not shop here customer service is terrible, I would never ever return to this place after being a customer for so many years it’s very disappointing to see how terrible things has gotten at this place.

I don’t usually do this, but some moments and gestures deserve to be highlighted.

A big shout out to the PC Richard & Son team at the Bay Plaza Co-op City location, and especially Eugene Rhone, for believing in us and standing with the Next Gen Event Corporation.

The inaugural 2025 Next Gen Invitational Relay on April 19th was a major success—and it wouldn’t have been the same without your contribution. Your last-minute decision to step up and provide giveaways added real value to the experience for our athletes, parents, guardians, coaches, and the entire administrative team.

I reached out to several local businesses for support, and while many were unable to commit, PC Richard answered the call. And for that, I’m eternally grateful.

While we didn’t have enough to give every athlete a gift bag, what you did provide made a lasting impact. Guests left not only inspired by the competition, but also uplifted by the simple joy of walking away with a token of appreciation—something they didn’t expect.

Your charity went further than you may ever realize. And for that reason, PC Richard has earned my full support. You’ve shown what true community partnership looks like.

DO NOT SHOP AT P.C

DO NOT SHOP AT P.C. RICHARDS!
I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine 6 months ago and it broke last month. They sent Repairmen/Technicians to my home on 4 separate occasions. Making us wait about a week between each visit.
As I write this, my machine is still broken and now they have scheduled us in another week for a representative to deem the machine unrepairable. I suspect we’ll be waiting for another week or so before we get a replacement. NO ONE seemed to care about customer service. Why? Because they don’t have any. They are the WORST at everything they do. I urge that anyone reading this review to shop elsewhere. They set the standard for deplorable customer relations. My next step is to contact The Better Business Bureau. I feel like I was robbed. Their business model sucks.

OK everyone here I go again another…

OK everyone here I go again another review pc Richardson so from a lady with a debilitating illness. I purchased a mattress from them .is defective . managers from customer service calling to tell me that it is not defective that the gentleman who came to inspected agree that it is not defective and that they will charge me $80 to take it back or swap it out for another and that I must give them another 30 days to exchange it or give them $80 again same story all over again And their customer manager from the mattresses his name I believe is Joseph Jacob not very helpful and believes that he is Gods gift to mattress department and that what he says goes what’s going wrong with this company they’re allowing people who have no ethical background to deal with their customers and we are falling pray to them And I will not give anybody $80. In fact I gave up the delivery crew $50 $25 each as a delivery it’s not about the $80 is the principal you cannot go through this world taken from people millions of money and giving no one back anything and that’s how I feel about pc of Richardson sons right now .I approach Appliances from them sewing machine from them. In fact, I have another mattress I got from them 7 years ago in my other room doesn’t sink in the center but their customer service is what’s has made me feel so sick about shopping with them and I will be making a video and post on all my social media platforms, informing everybody not to buy a mattress from them because if you buy a mattress from them, they will not honor anything and in fact, they’ll take more money from you to take it back from you. I have to pay you to get violated basically is what pc Richardson no way !!! On that note if you must buy a mattress, don’t buy it from pc Richardson sons and I will be going live on TikTok Instagram and I will be cutting into the mattress to show everybody what’s underneath in the matters

Wow this business has tanked over the…

Wow this business has tanked over the years. Six-month old dishwasher has had issues and we've called several times for attention. Service techs came twice, however the problem still exists.
PC Richard's customer service has been abysmal. They give you a 4-hour window the day before, without an option to choose a convenient time frame in advance, as most companies do. They do not communicate with you. Service techs show up at random times.
Go elsewhere for appliances and ask about their service policies.
PC Richard's has been nothing but aggravation. The most they have going for them is the strike-out sound at Yankee stadium. Appropriate since you're striking out at good customer service.

Don’t trust these people.

Don’t trust these people.. convince you to buy the extended warranty because it’s the best yet when you don’t buy the warranty you get a 3 year warranty.. bought the extended warranty and now it’s supposedly being invalidated because I need a replacement during the initial standard consumer warranty. I’ve lost 3 fridges of food and have had to take 4 days off of work.. requested a call back from management 7 days ago with no return call.. AVOID!

If only I could give zero stars...

It really doesn’t take much effort to find a mountain of one-star PC Richards reviews, and guess what? I’m officially joining the club. The reason is no mystery: their service is absolutely horrendous. I bought an LG washer and dryer from PC Richards a few years ago and paid extra for their terrific 5-year extended warranty. You know, for peace of mind and quick repairs in case of any issues. Well, scratch the "quick" - I’d have settled for any repair at all.

Here’s the highlight reel of my magical journey:

• 2/5/25: I report a TE1 error code on my dryer.
• A few days later, a tech shows up to—get this—read the same error code I already told them about. They order a part: the “Main Control Board.”
• 12 days later, the part is installed. Dryer works! (For a few glorious weeks.)
• Dryer dies again. Same error code. I call again. Another tech visit, another “reading” of the error code, and now a new part is needed: the “Thermistor.”
• That part? Easily available on Amazon in two days. PC Richards? Not so much.
• 4/17/25: Thermistor installed. Doesn’t fix it. Shocker. Tech says we now need a third part: the “Wiring Harness.”
• I call for an update and am told the part will arrive within three days.
• Last I hear from PC Richards is an email on 4/23/25 saying the part is delayed. Surprise!
So, more than two months after this comedy began, on 4/25/25, I gave up and bought a new LG dryer from BestBuy. It arrived in four days. I installed it myself. Problem solved.

I guess PC Richards operates on a different definition of “service.” One where your time means nothing, your inconvenience is irrelevant, and resolution is a vague concept reserved for marketing. I’m done with them.

Oh, and when you post about your miserable experience? Expect their signature canned response:
“We’re sorry to hear about this negative experience. Blah blah blah… please send us a direct message with your invoice number or call customer service... we’ll work with you to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.”

Ah yes, because restarting the nightmare from square one is just what every frustrated customer is dying to do.

Thanks, but no thanks. Never again.

Absolutely HORRENDOUS customer service

Absolutely HORRENDOUS customer service. Don't buy appliances from this company. I purchased an LG washing machine and matching dryer 5 years ago with the company's 8-year extended warranty for both machines. Not only did the delivery people do a careless and poor job of unloading and installing the machines, the washing machine had to be replaced due to defective vibration control after only a week. Then the replacement LG washer started vibrating excessively and the dryer would not fully dry the clothes. We called customer service for service under the 8-year warranty, and not only did the service department put us through absolute hell with 7+ visits, many of which had to be rescheduled for various reasons, but they refused to replace the machines until LG deemed the machines "unrepairable," and we finally spoke with a senior manager in the service department, which is not part of the store and does not communicate well with them. After months of this, we finally received a credit for the original purchase price of the machines and had to pay $105 extra for Electrolux replacements which were actually less expensive than the original LG machines because we were told by management that the credits were on separate invoices and could not be combined. Management of the store made no effort to assist with this. Then the first delivery of the replacement Electrolux machines had to be rejected due to obvious damage. Delivery and installation crews only care about getting in and out as fast as possible with no concern for damage to the machines, so you have to watch them like a hawk. Overall, a horrible experience. Avoid at all costs.

Do not buy from PC Richards

Do not buy from PC Richards. The techs broke a drip pan under my washer and I can't get anyone to call or email me back about it. It's been over a month and 7 phone calls and no progress at all! Terrible customer service.

utterly disappointed

utterly disappointed. Took two weeks and multiple trips to get a washer and dryer into my home. and on the last trip, the delivery person said he couldn‘t connect my washer to my pipes, the dryer vent he brought was too short, and he recommended I buy a different, more expensive unit. I asked my male neighbor to come over, and the delivery guy changed his whole story. suddenly the only problem was that the power cord was too short. he saw a single woman alone and tried to take advantage. I paid an extra $200 for delivery and all necessary parts, and the delivery guy didnt even install. I called to get some help and the manager offered a $50 refund on a $1600+ purchase. I wanted to buy local and this is what I got. I also found a bunch of scrapes and dings on both appliances.

Incompetent return policies

In the era of Amazon and all the no friction return policies, PCR is way behind. He’s not reliable.

The communication back and forth with the “internet sales” department makes it even worse, because it’s all verbal and nobody honors nobody’s word.

They have great people working for them it’s just their policies that suck.

Do better, Richard!

I purchased a new refrigerator here and…

I purchased a new refrigerator here and prepaid for the installation plus haul away of my old fridge. I explained to the salesman that my old fridge has an ice maker and water line hooked up to it which would need to be disconnected. The new fridge I bought does not have an ice machine so I didn’t need the water line. The sales guy said oh SURE, we can take care of disconnecting that first you, no worries. Then today when the installation guys came with the new fridge, they said they could NOT in fact take care of disconnecting my water line and I had to contact a plumber on my own at my expense! I have not had a working refrigerator for 2 weeks now despite having spent my hard earned money paying for the new fridge that is just sitting in my kitchen. So I got the plumber here and took care of the disconnect, which was an huge out of pocket cost to me, and is now ready to be installed. But when I called back PC Richard to have their guys come back to install the new obe and haul away the old one, they told me they can’t schedule a new appointment for another 3 days, despite the fact they are only 3 miles away and I purchased a store model which is sitting right in their showroom!!!

I will NEVER buy anything from PC Richards ever again!!! They are incompetent crooks!!!

3rd time trying to get appt.to check my washing machine that is no working.The Costumer Services who answer the phone named "Angie"was the only person who helped me getting my appt.She was very knowledgeable and knew what she was doing.I'm giving her
10 Stars .In the contrary when I first call on 03/06/25 and I spoke with a guy named "Mark" He sound upset and didn't gave me the appt.he asked me for the telephone # and told me that he will call me back before the end of the day but he never did.I call the following day and another guy told me after I explain to him the problem that Mark definitely will
Call me again.He never did again I call again and explained to Angie the same thing and she gave me the appt.right away.P/C Richard's should have people like Angie working for then.

I had a very similar experience as the people who left reviews before me. Problem number one: there’s no complaint department! Nobody actually cares about your opinion.
People in my area store are more than rude, starting with the store manager. I witnessed one of the managers yell and disrespect the sales man who was helping me. It was horrible, I felt like running out, but had paid already. There is no communication or respect between the staff and customers are suffering .
Bad business!!!!
Get a complaint department! The customer service in corporate told me that’s not their job.
