We purchased our new home with Pennyfarthing Homes (Potters Wood) and moved in back in January, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience so far. The house is beautifully designed, finished to a high standard, and really feels like home already.
Throughout the entire process, Pennyfarthing were professional, supportive, and helpful. Jackie in the sales team is an exceptional asset to the company and kept us updated every step of the way, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
Even now, four months after moving in, the customer care team have continued to provide excellent support with the minor snagging issues we’ve come across. Matt and Chris have both been fantastic — responsive, helpful, and always willing to assist with anything we’ve needed.
It’s been reassuring to know that the aftercare service is just as good as the buying experience itself. We are extremely happy with our new home and would happily recommend Pennyfarthing to anyone looking to buy a new-build property.
Thank you to the whole team at Pennyfarthing.
It has been a genuine pleasure working alongside Leika and the team at Pennyfarthings. From the very beginning, the entire experience has been handled with a high level of professionalism, with communication that was consistently clear, timely, and considerate. I particularly appreciated how respectful they were of my time, ensuring that everything was well-organised and efficiently managed. This thoughtful and collaborative approach made the process smooth and enjoyable from start to finish, and it truly reflects the team’s commitment to delivering an excellent standard of service.

I had a great experience working with this company as a contractor on two separate sites. From the start, communication was clear, professional, and respectful of my time. Project expectations were well-defined, and any questions I had were addressed promptly.

I have visited several Pennyfarthing Homes developments and been very impressed by the attention to detail that has clearly been included during the design process. They create stylish homes located in lovely settings. One day, I would love to buy one and live happily ever after in the New Forest.

I visited Pennyfarthing Homes development in New Milton, the quality of the build, the layout of the interior rooms and thoughtful details were very impressive.
Also the sales team couldn't have been more helpful.
If I were looking to move, Pennyfarthing Homes would be high on my list, well worth a look.

As an interior designer working on Penny Farthing show homes, I've had the opportunity to collaborate closely with their team. The attention to detail in both build quality and overall aesthetic consistently high. It's refreshing to work with a developer that values DFAO thoughtful design and understand how interiors contribute to the overall customer experience.

I viewed a couple of their properties in their new Fordingbridge development. Lovely development, beautiful spacious properties especially the bungalows, high spec excellent finish.

We bought a share to buy property from Penny Farthing in Verwood in 2023.
We wanted to get away from rented and invested the small money we had into a share to buy property on Potters Wood.
We love our house but have had endless problems with Penny Farthing.
We have had no water sunday 4 January 2026 and tuesday 6 January.
We call Bournemouth Water they have attended on both occasions. They have shown us all pipes to our house are flowing with water up till a box on the front of our house.
This box holds our water meter. This is what keeps freezing.
Bournemouth Water don't recommend these boxes or like them. Funny enough the rest of the houses on our estate don't have them, just our road?? The water meter should be underground on the pavement. Hence, we have never had frozen pipes ever before living in England for 51 years.
When Penny Farthing are queried over this, although this is on outside of our wall, they shrug there shoulders.
Apparently they were used on our road as we are Sovereign Houses.
So this is discrimination. We have a mortgage and have put money down as a deposit. But as we part own with Sovereign we are penalised. That makes us feel worthless. Penny Farthing have deliberately used cheap fittings on a house we bought from a trusted builder.
We are now stuck in a house built in 2023 with pipes that freeze every time we have a frost, waiting hours for them to defrost. When will they burst???
Help and advice would be gratefully received.
We honestly cannot recommend Pennyfarthing highly enough! From start to finish, they have been absolutely amazing and excellent throughout the entire process. We purchased our property at Potters Wood, and the experience has exceeded our expectations. A huge special mention to Jackie, who has been a complete breath of fresh air — friendly, supportive, and incredibly helpful every step of the way.
As expected with any new build, we had a few minor snags, but these were all resolved almost immediately and without any fuss. The professionalism, efficiency, and communication from the whole team have been outstanding.
Everyone we have dealt with at Pennyfarthing has been extremely professional and genuinely lovely to deal with. We would 100% recommend Pennyfarthing to anyone looking for a new home.

Moving is very stressful and it was our first new home purchase we cannot stress enough how polite, courteous, informative and a consummate professional Richard Stephen’s was when buying our bungalow at Oakwood grove Alderholt
We believe that despite all the expensive professionals we employed to move us Richard stood out as the only one who really helped us conclude the sale he genuinely was consistently optimistic and helpful and we are truly grateful

From start to finish Jackie has gone above and beyond answering my endless amount of questions and concerns to an extremely satisfactory level. Pennyfarthing have out done themselves and we’re very grateful for our wonderful little home. Nothing seemed too much hassle, even the smallest things like asking them to use grey grout to match the grey tiles has been done along with matching silicone in the shower as well. So far we’ve been extremely lucky and not encountered any snags, which hopefully remains the case! A big thank you to all the team that helped build this house from exterior to interior!

We bought a bungalow at Oakwood Grove and our sister and brother in law tried to buy a property on the same estate but they were dumped just as they were ready to exchange contracts after a difficult couple of chain breaks. Pennyfarthing even withheld some of the reservation fee and cost them thousands in wasted legal fees. No understanding of current market turmoil and difficulty for customers to get to completion. There wasn’t even another customer trying to buy their plot which is still unsold!!
£640,000 build the truth poor build we were mis lead in purchase from the show house to our home , use a professional snager we were advised and promised we would not need one.
if we had he would of discovered some of the faults before we moved in here are a few garden laid on rubble and hire than the dpc level in the single skin garage due to no drainage when it rained water poured in ,we paid to have this corrected fascia boards split ,broken, box boards angles cut wrong
boards filled with plaster and rubed down to hide damage.then we had pennyfarthing and the roofer arguing in our garden who was going to pay not professional on a build yet alone at the cost we paid .taps not done up correctly blown off the pipes bath, kitchen we paid plummer to check . heating installed incorrectly no heat in bedroom no plumbed in correctly but signed off by building inspector and penny farthing broken door glass .gauged flooring in kitchen and door surrounds door in garage fitted in wound out of square could not lock it
scratched glass in lounge doors window trims poorly fitted we now have a large settlement crack in the garage floor was not there until garage flooded a few times patio was poorly laid and slabs did not adhere to sub structure we paid to have re done we have got no render on the bungalow as per the show home as we have a chestnut type and the penyfarthing web site showed it did have.advise be prepared to fight for quality of how it should be no matter what your budget it all reads fab but like there 24 hr call out you not coverd and it’s not urgent enough. would we buy again from mr penyfarthing no but we love the place we now call home we have pictures to prove this is not fabricated the plummer has tagged his taps i’m not looking for sympathy but penny farthing directors need to be more realistic about who the contractors they are using and monitor their builds
there reputation used to be secound to none now it’s all about money and no empathy for the customer. before you buy please engage a professional snagger

We were looking to buy a property in the Fordingbridge area and Whitsbury Green came up on our search. New build wasn't really on our radar but we decided to pop in to the sales office and see what was on offer. Of course the plot we liked had not been released and it would mean buying off plan with a long wait ahead. Richard at the Whitsbury Green sales office was so helpful and knowledgeable, we viewed several completed houses with him and felt comfortable that we could trust the process. We are so pleased that we made the decision to buy because we have now been in residence a few weeks and are super impressed with the development, the house and the build quality. Yes we have had a few snags but these have been sorted quickly and professionally by Amy the assistant site manager and other contractors. It did feel a bit like a leap of faith when we decided to go ahead with a house purchase when all we could see were plans but we are very pleased with our choice. Richard kept has updated throughout, answered questions and ensured the process ran smoothly. Pennyfarthing have a team to be proud of everyone we have met or spoken to have been excellent but Richard and Amy really stand out for their customer focus.

From the beginning we were pleased with the advice and assistance from Richard. We are finally residents now, although various issues are still in recovery. Amy is amazing in immediately following up these issues. Viv
