A few things I pointed out on the car were not sorted as promised, namely some lose arch trim and tired looking number plates which I have sorted myself. However the car I bought has been a lot o... See more

David helped me through buying and selling my car, kept me in touch with everything without any problems

David Wells was our salesperson when we purchased our Vauxhall Crossland . He was courteous polite and not at all pushy when speaking to us . Infact all the staff at Vauxhall Burton were the same . We felt that he went above and beyond and made the experience of buying a car great . Would certainly go back here when the time comes to upgrade our car .

I purchased my Audi Q2 from Pentagon, Burton on Trent in October 2024. I spoke to David Wells on a number of occasions, who sold the vehicle to me, he was really helpful, nothing was too much trouble and I did not feel that I was being ‘fobbed’ off , pressured, even though I am sure I was an absolute pain. I viewed the vehicle on line and David carried out a video of the vehicle. Once I decided to purchase, it all went through with no problems. I had the vehicle delivered to my house , as I live a considerable distance from the garage, this was no trouble and I received it fully valeted and with a good amount of fuel too. I have been absolutely delighted with the vehicle and the service I received. Many thanks

Will never buy a car from Ford Warrington again, I requested a copy of the service record and was told that I will receive them on the app, I have made numerous phone calls and emails to Pentagon head office with no joy whatsoever, as soon as you purchase a vehicle from them the after care is non existent, the sales staff are not interested and don’t get back to you. Also beware they will offer you an extremely low price for your part exchange even though you get a good price on the website.

David was excellent, really pleasant to deal with and helped me turn a car round really quickly, the only slight thing that let it down was the detail clean which as far as I could tell hadn’t been done more than a very standard clean but in-spite of that the car is excellent, the team were professional, the process was simple and I would recommend them! Thanks guys.

Bought a SEAT from Pentagon Burton On Trent and during the sales process the salesman, David, was keen to get the sale as you would expect. I asked for the SupaGard to be applied and having paid for it was told that they did not have the floor mats for the vehicle at the moment and would contact me to arrange the vehicle going in once the mats had arrived. I was offered a loan car for the day so that I was not without transport whilst the SupaGard was being applied.
However, the vehicle developed an engine fault within the first week! We lost all confidence in the vehicle due to this and I returned it asking for an exchange or refund. I was made to feel like a villain for bringing a faulty car back and was told the general manager would contact me once they had diagnosed the problem.
The manager has to this day not contacted me nor apologised for it all. I was not offered a loan car whilst awaiting diagnostics and only received a very short email from David basically saying "still waiting on our service department confirming the fault".
He also suggested that I could "trade" the vehicle in for another one at the dealership!! Firstly, I'm entitled to the full value paid so why on Earth would I "trade" it. Secondly, it is clearly faulty (as he witnessed) so I assume they would have offered a price to reflect that. Disgraceful attitude and a very disappointing experience.
Fortunately, there is a diamond in the rough there called Amy, who has communicated with me throughout the process of getting a refund and assured it will be issued within 3 working days. Though, that would be by the end of today, so we'll see if that happens.
Customer service were CC'd in emails too and replied saying the management team are on the case and will be in contact, this was at the beginning of last week and I have heard nothing since.
I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience. But if you really must use them, ask for Amy in sales.
Update: I have amended the review from 1 star as Lauren and her manager at Derby accounting were fantastic as regards getting the refund issued. They should clearly be in charge of Customer Service training.

Visited my local dealership as I'd seen 2 cars online I was interested in. Spoke to a very knowledgeable sales team member who answered all my questions & could give advice as to which car would suit my needs better. Went for a test drive and booked to come back few days later with my partner.
Purchased the car on my return visit and everything was explained in detail about warranty and service plans etc but none of this was hard selling was my choice if I wanted to add any extras.
Car was ready next day to collect as I needed it for starting a new job. Collection was easy, sales team member explained all the features & showed me where everything was as this was a big upgrade from my previous car.
Left feeling confident if I needed anything or had any problems I could come back with no problems. Would defiantly recommend and I will come back when the time comes to upgrading.

Having bought several cars (visiting many many dealerships) I have to say this was the most pleasant experience. From the call I made to Taylor and then visiting the showroom he made me feel welcome and valued. Nothing was too much trouble and he answered all questions. Just had my car delivered by him and cannot recommend dealership (mainly him) enough.

I recently purchased a pre-owned Corsa E from Pentagon in Mansfield. While I am satisfied with the vehicle itself, I found the process and customer service appalling, and below expectations. I reserved the vehicle promptly, as it was the best option available at the time, and I was particularly pleased with the color. As I reside in Manchester, I initially planned to have the vehicle transferred to Pentagon in Oldham, approximately 80 miles from Mansfield.
However, after speaking with Conor at Mansfield and wishing to avoid the transfer wait, I decided to proceed with the purchase and paid the deposit. Initially, the process was smooth, and Conor promptly sent over the necessary documents for signature, indicating that completing this by the same evening would be preferable.
The following day, I received a call from Conor informing me that Pentagon leases the vehicle from Vauxhall and needed to purchase it from them, obtaining a V5 document before it could be sold to me. He advised that this process typically takes around a week. While I was disappointed to hear this, I understood I would need to wait.
Approximately five days later, I followed up regarding the V5, but I did not receive any further customer service, apology, or clarification from either Conor or the reception staff. After a week, I was informed that Vauxhall’s standard turnaround time is seven days and was advised to refrain from contacting them during this period. This turnaround time had not been communicated at the outset, and the information provided varied throughout the process.
At this point, I contacted other Pentagon locations in Sheffield and Oldham to inquire about similar vehicles. The service from these locations was excellent; they advised that it typically takes about two weeks to prepare the vehicle for collection once purchased, due to the need for a new V5. I was surprised and frustrated that, had I known it would take this long in Mansfield, I could have arranged for the transfer to Oldham initially, saving time and transportation costs.
Conor was unapologetic about the delay, stating that we simply needed to wait and did not wish to revisit the issue. Had the wait been shorter, I might have considered canceling the order. Nonetheless, I am pleased with the vehicle itself.
When I collected the car, there was no in-person apology or explanation provided. I paid in cash for the vehicle outright, so no discussions about financing took place; however, Conor attempted to promote additional products, which I found inappropriate given the circumstances.
Overall, I am very disappointed with my experience. I believe I was deceived concerning the estimated waiting time to induce me into completing the purchase at Mansfield, thereby enabling them to secure the sale, rather than disclosing the more transparent and forthcoming terms offered by Oldham. The level of customer care received was unsatisfactory. I do not intend to make further purchases through this dealership, particularly Mansfield, and I would not recommend their services based on this experience.

I bought a used car from here. Sadly upon arrival from another part of the country the car had a couple of cosmetic issues that had arose that was not previously pointed out on our initial enquiry communication. But credit where credit is due! Jack the manager was extremely helpful, and managed to navigate a positive outcome. Despite the unfortunate event, a positive result was achieved and happy with the outcome. Would recommend them. Also sorted a fantastic price for my warranty!

2nd major software fault on my new Grandland. 1st fault took weeks to rectify by Pentagon Burton so this time got booked in at Pentagon Loughborough. Unfortunately when I turned up the service centre operator hadn't made the appointment.
Pentagon seem incompetent throughout the organisation. Don't buy a car from them. Just check out the other 1 star reviews, I wish I had.
Just in case Pentagon reply to this, I will not contact your customer service. Dealing with you in the first place was my mistake and I will not waste any more time dealing with you than I have to.

I recently bought (or leased) a brand new car from Oldham Pentagon, the sale of which went well and I have no quarrell with. What I am not happy with is the car has an issue with the heating/AC system, making it a danger to drive when I try to use the heater, making it not fit for purpose. I took it back to their service department whom then had it for a day and said that there is nothing wrong with it, yet the issue is still present. Since then the communication has been terrible and as I struggle to leave work early enough to bring the car back to them, they just brush me aside.
Don't buy a car from these, stitched right up!

Took a nearly new Peugeot E3008 GT to Pentagon Scunthorpe for a battery charging fault ( all electric ). My vehicle was a few months old with less than 1000 miles and in pristine condition when i had to take it in for this fault. 9 days later on Monday 7th April at 9 am i was contacted to say it was ready but can i pick it up at 11am as it will be having a valet. I arrived at Pentagon at the requested time only to find my car covered in dust and mud on the interior carpets. I tried cleaning the windscreen with wash / wipe but with very little effect, i managed to get home, 20 miles away and gave it a soapy wash and pressure wash but this didn't do a thing, the whole car felt like sandpaper. As i was drying it off i found some paint damage on the front offside corner I contacted them straight away, they blamed the chimney from Scunthorpe steelworks for the dust and said have you noticed the damage on the other side of the front of the car ????? I immediately went to check and found extensive damage to the front lower valance, deep scuffs, deep scratches and deep scrapes all well below paint level, i took multiple photo's. When i asked why it was let out like this they blamed me for causing this damage !!!! It looked as it if it had been driven through a mature hedge. They denied all knowledge ! I know the condition it was in when it arrived and i reiterate it was pristine. The car had to return for a full machine polish to get rid of this thick layer of corrosive dust but nothing was done about all the damage. So much for it having a valet before i picked it up.
It seems very odd to me also that i was contacted at 9am on the Monday morning to say it was ready, surely it would have been ready on the Friday before ? or because it was a top of the range with sunroof and upgraded hi-fi system with 10 speakers and sub woofer, ( a model they rarely get in ) did management or one of the staff decide to borrow it and drive it about for the weekend and this is when it was damaged as it had done in excess of 40 miles on a so called test drive ? a very long test drive if you ask anyone just to check if the battery is charging ! I was offered the paintwork to be touched up by the guy who valets them and would have to pay towards this cost, no chance ! i was also given some touch up paint that didn't even match. So before you take a £54.000 car or any car come to that to Pentagon Scunthorpe Brig Road make sure you do a full video of the vehicle in front of someone before you decide to leave it or for full peace of mind go elsewhere. I had lie after lie about all this from the manager and it took weeks to supposedly investigate, What a joke of a dealership which has no morals and the totally disgusting way they treat your vehicle !!!!!

Brilliant service from Louisa when buying my second car from her.
I purchased my first Vauxhall from her at Pentagon Burton and now my second Vauxhall again from her at Pentagon Derby and she has been outstanding both times. The car was a used car but was in brilliant condition on the day of collection with nothing too much trouble for her.
Thankyou again and see you next time for my next car!

I’ve recently bought a used car from Vauxhall pentagon in Chadderton, It was my first time buying a car from a dealership and I was looked after by Paul Greenough from start to finish, he was extremely helpful and made the process stress free and simple. I would highly recommend using Vauxhall pentagon as I was very happy with my experience and my new car.
