quick delivery, but worth it to go to a store

I quite often order online and am happy with the delivery timeframe, although if I can, I try to go to our Dural store. The staff is always helpful and stock availability is good. They also price match, which makes going into store quite attractive

Petbarn, Springfield QLD. AMAZING!

Our local, Springfield QLD. Is always well stocked and the customer service is always amazing and always do friendly and helpful. When we went to start stocking up for our new kitten they gave us a kitten pack and some amazing advice. Since then, we have been regularly and only buy our cats food there.

Went to the Cranbourne store on Sunday to overhear an older guy by the name of Chris belittling two young staff members. Both girls were being polite to other customers and helping them but he felt they were wasting time. He had then complained to me when he served me that they never do any work. Strangely every time I go in he is not working but all the other staff are. NEVER GOING BACK.

I went to Petbarn to get some flea medication, a new toy, and some food for my dog. No one really stepped in to help or sort me out when I tried to ask the staff for advice on the products, but they didn't seem to be very sure also the toy only lasted a day before being chewed to pieces, and the prices were rather high.

Check the price first

Took my 3.2kg cavoodle to North Parramatta Pet Barn for full clip today and received a bill of $105.00 and her ears were not even cleaned. Won't be recommending them at all. Check the price first, don't rely on what the website says.

My husband and I witnessed the store manager Holly belittle her staff member right in front of us. Disgusting we will not be going to The Noosa store in the future. We will also be letting our friends know. If this is how she treats her staff when customers are there. We can only imagine how she is when the store is closed.
Great products poor Store Manager

Very unhappy Petbarn member

I am a Petbarn member, apparently gone up to the next tier level, I received an email from Petbarn advising that up until the 31/08/2025 I can get 25% off my pet food needs as many times up until that date.
I went on the app to place an order as the email stated that the discount has been applied to my account therefore I don’t need to do anything.
I placed an order as I do for my 2 golden retriever girls, went to checkout and … nothing had come off the shop price.
I called customer service, lol if you can call it that … I was advised that this offer is instore only?… I asked as to why, this made no logical sense at all… I was told that that was the policy and that was it. I asked to speak with a manager and of course none were available more like not interested!!
I’ll go elsewhere, they want to have an attitude then so will I.
At the end of the day the discount should be available online as well, most of the time I’m guessing we all shop online, right.. so I can’t see why this has to be an issue?.. just make it available to reward your loyal customers.
What I say is;
Go elsewhere people, they’re not loyal at all.
Try Petstock or Pet circle online. They’re very competitive and price match if required. Very disappointing on Petbarn’s part. Not happy!!!

Disappointed by Customer Service Call Centre - Staff Bianca

I’ve been a loyal Petbarn customer for nearly 10 years, but was shocked by how poorly my complaint was handled over the phone. Bianca was rude, kept interrupting me, and hung up when I asked to speak without being cut off. The call centre didn’t take my concerns seriously — I felt dismissed. Poor customer service, unprofessional

I’m extremely disappointed with Petbarn’s service and pricing. Their prices are always ridiculously high, and they refuse to price match or beat competitors, making shopping here a complete rip-off.

But the worst part is their horrible delivery service. I placed an order five days ago, and it still hasn’t arrived. When I checked the status, my order hasn’t even been packed yet! They promised delivery by April 27th, but it’s now the 28th, and nothing has been done.

To make matters worse, their customer service is a joke. I waited half an hour on hold just to speak to someone, only to give up out of frustration.

Never shopping here again—overpriced, unreliable, and terrible customer service. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Failure to Honour Qantas Frequent Flyer Points

I made a click and collect purchase from PetBarn through the Qantas Shopping website specifically to earn the double Qantas Frequent Flyer points that were advertised. When, after 2 months, the points had not shown up in my FF account, I emailed Qantas regarding the missing points. After contacting PetBarn to verify the purchase Qantas declined the points for various reasons that made no sense. Both Qantas and PetBarn blamed each other for the tracking failure as well as me for not following their convoluted and complex system.
Qantas admitted "Our system is designed to track purchases automatically; however, as tracking relies on multiple factors, there are instances where transactions may not be recorded as expected. While we continue working with our retail partners to optimise this process, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that all purchases will be tracked successfully."
I know I did the right thing and followed all the correct procedures with my purchase through PetBarn. There is something seriously wrong with their system, but they won’t admit it.
Their investigation apparently revealed that “the transaction tracking indicates the use of another source, such as shopping through a direct retailer EDM or utilizing a browser plug-in” (whatever that means). If it is too complex for the average customer to understand and follow then it should be scrapped and a new simpler model devised.
I'm a very experienced computer user and have been having lots of issues over the years with the Qantas Shopping system which I believe is defective. As a result of these issues I became well aware early on of what I had to do to get a purchase with points. I make a lot of purchases online, mainly from eBay, through Qantas Shopping. They have declined my points on some of these occasions as well, despite the fact that I have followed their complicated system to the letter.
Depending on which staff member handles my missing points inquiries, in some instances they will grant my points even though their system hasn’t recorded the purchase, in the interests of customer service. Unfortunately not in the latest instance with PetBarn.
Clearly I have made legitimate online purchases through the Qantas Shopping site. Isn't that all that should matter ? Isn’t the aim of the site to encourage shoppers to make purchases with Qantas partners ?

Why on earth would you want to lose a customer forever and suffer from numerous bad reviews, just for the sake of a few points that are hardly worth anything to me anyway, and probably costs Qantas and PetBarn a pittance ?

As I promised to do, I have removed myself from PetBarn’s membership database and will not shop with them ever again.

Although I'm a very long standing Qantas Frequent Flyer, I try my hardest to avoid flying with them. The customer service is poor, not only from Qantas Shopping, but the airline as a whole. I get better service and availability from the other loyalty programs that I'm a member of (Virgin, Emirates, Etihad, Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines). Qantas FF points are pretty worthless as I've never been able to find a reward seat on a Qantas flight to a destination and time of my choosing.
I will not accept the blame game where neither Qantas or PetBarn will take any responsibility for a failed system.
Use PetBarn for Qantas FF points at your peril.

Customer of over 10 years gone

They really don't care about their long-term loyal customers. For some reason I cannot pay through PayPal anymore and I cannot pay with my card it took me three agents and hours in chat just for them to come to the conclusion that they couldn't help me.I'm sure they've gone off to help someone else as simple yes or no question should not take over 7 minutes for them to respond to. We have shopped with them for a long long time and the minimum we spend weekly is $100 and they couldn't help me and we're quite happy to close down my account. All they needed to do was reset my account so the payments can go through again but instead I got all this automatic reply rubbish thrown out at me. Their in store staff absolutely lovely their customer care is crap.

Horrible place

Horrible place. Bought a small travel cage from here and whilst carrying it outside with our birds in there (flighted) as we had just gone on a holiday and we were picking them up from a place where they stayed, the cage collapsed. We lost our cockatiel and budgie. After a few days someone luckily found our cockatiel (my sisters) but my budgie is still missing. I miss her so much and I’m so mad at this place as I’ve seen other people have similar experiences with their cages but only after the fact. Horrible place.
