Love the pricing and the free 2hr…

Love the pricing and the free 2hr delivery. Disappointed that I have to shop in store to get my Frequent Feeder Discount. I order online to avoid shopping in person so I miss out on discounts I really need with 2 dogs, 7 cats, 1 rabbit and a family of mum and 5 stray kittens at the moment.

**Price match GUARANTEE** ...yeah right.
Petbarns whole price match guarantee is a joke. I found Blackhawk 20kg online, in stock, in Australia with free delivery for $109.93. Called Petbarn for a price match. Employee advised that $109 was under their cost but can do $115. "No prob", I said. Went to store, spoke with exact same employee. He got product off shelf and asked to see other website. I showed the $109 site. He said, No... I need to see a site selling it for $115 to price match. Lol.... What an obsurd requirement. He cant match the $109, we agreed $115 but in order for that to be honoured, I have to find an alternate site selling it for the random price he made up on the spot.
So in other words, Petbarn is ripping off ALL their customers unless you happen to find a particular price for them to match. How about you put that in your fake ads instead of 'price match guarentee'.

absolute joke of a company

absolute joke of a company, they do NOT care about their customers at all. A harness that doesn't fit my cat mysteriously did not show up on my account after asking for a refund, couldn't even get a gift card when I clearly bought it from there. they dont care about us. SCUM

Received dead crickets, refuse to refund.

We placed a click and collect order, now we're waiting on a reply requesting a refund for two boxes of mostly dead extra small crickets (the image is of two boxes worth put into a large container to show what we received)... And what a friend worked out is two pieces of rotting mushy carrot... Crickets are living creatures too, and should be treated with respect.

EDIT: we received a reply which I have added, they refuse to give a refund, instead offered a $10 voucher... The crickets cost us over $16+... Not acceptable... This is the first time that we've asked for a refund, but it isn't the first time we've received crickets in this condition.

On the 28th of January 25th

On the 28th of January 25th, I had a very dissatisfactory experience at Petbarn Wendoure located at the North Homemaker Centre, Shop 2/333 Gillies St N, Wendouree VIC 3355.

It's been a month since I booked my puppy for a grooming session at Petbarn Wendoure (28.01.25, 8:30AM).
The moment I walked in (8:33AM), I was informed that the groomer refused to come to work on this exact day, which is why my appointment had been cancelled. Reception woman did not offer me any other alternatives except to tell me that I could go and wash my puppy myself. When I asked the woman at the reception for a manager to speak with about my options after she failed to offer me anything, I was told that she is the manager.

I have lost my trust in Petbarn as a result of today's experience. I am planning to avoid the services of Petbarn in the future as a result of the unprofessional staff that Petbarn Wendoure (grooming service) hires. 

It’s worth noting that I have taken the day off work especially to be present for this appointment.

In my opinion, if I were the owner of such a business, I would prefer not to employ groomers who do not do their job and a manager who may not be able to offer even a simple resolution for the benefit of a client-oriented service for the sake of the advantage of the company. After speaking with other local groomers in the area, in an attempt to recover an appointment for my puppy, I was informed that this had happened the week prior to another customer.

I do not believe that this type of behaviour or management of client-based issues aligns with Petbarns ambitions to offer a good service. 

I would appreciate it if you would take some action on this matter.

Very poor service …..

Recently went to the Rosebery Petbarn and was at the counter asking about a dog toy as the web showed it was available at the store. The person serving was about to help me find it when another customer asked a question. He then left and went off with the other customer, after waiting for 10 mins I left, as no other service person was available. I left all the items i was about to buy. Will not be going back to this store or Petbarn. Will also influence all my friends to also boycott Petbarn. Avoid using Petbarn.

Online stock levels misleading, useless

Ordered 2 pet carry cases on line. Petbarn website states "Quantity in stock: 2". Paid for next day delivery. Next day one case arrived with two stickers on it. A couple of hours online chat and on hold on the phone trying to a) discover what happened (don't know), b) get a refund for my next day delivery fee (no).

Later received a call from Petbarn "We're giving you a refund on the price of the second carry case, there was only one in stock. But there's another one in stock now if you want to order it again."

To Petbarn's credit the lady I then spoke to on the phone at the West Wollongong store a) apologised b) explained what happened (the online is store is useless and never shows accurate stock levels (ffs people it's 2024 get your supply chain together)) and c) put the missing case on an Uber at no cost.

Have just finished 40 minutes of glue stripping the cheapass delivery labels Sherpa Deliveries stuck all over my first carry case.

West Wollongong staff member, you are a champion human, thank you. The rest of Petbarn, you are a useless facade, will not buy from you again.

Don't look to PetBarn if the product doesn't work.

I purchased a Halti dog head collar from Pet Barn in Malvern Rd, Malvern, Victoria on 17 Sept 2024.
I live several hours travel away from the store.
When I got home and started to use the collar, I immediately found that the clip (to attach the head collar to the dog's collar) was stiff and often took a minute or so to get it to work, although occasionally, it would open straight away. I tried a silicon lubricant, but that didn't make much difference.
Concerned that long term, the clip might jam completely, the next time I travelled to Malvern (today - 23 October 2024), my wife took the head collar back to Pet Barn and explained the problem. She says the staff tried the clip, which worked perfectly.
Pet Barn staff were dismissive and said there was nothing that could be done as it was more than 1 month since purchase.
This treatment of a customer who lives some distance away is no recommendation for the product, the supplier, or PetBarn.

Never again!!.

I booked an appointment with Petbarn Noosa for a full groom. My small dog was there for three hours and I felt so disappointed when I collected him. I was charged 150 dollars for an uneven cut. The extra 50 dollars was for two small knots on his front paws which should have come out easily when cutting. His paws were not cut properly and will need redoing in a few weeks. So disappointing I would not consider this place again it is like a production line and the girl that groomed my dog needs retraining. I feel it is all about the extra money they can charge not the care of the dog.

Price match farce

Rip off merchants generally and their price match policy is a farce. Won’t match ‘marketplaces’ such as Amazon, even if the product is sold by Amazon directly rather than one of their marketplace vendors. Won’t match major pet store competitors on common products if it’s below their cost price. Was told they’d only match competitors if the lower price is at least $5 above their cost price. So frustrating and not worth the effort

Useless home delivery they won't deliver to your home.

Please tell me what is the point of offering home delivery if you refuse the recipients authority to leave?I imagine most people get home delivery, like me, because work hours don't permit them attending a shop. So I certainly don't have the time and patience to chase up where my cat food is, THAT'S WHY I HAVE IT SENT TO MY HOUSE. cancelled all my repeat orders as you are no longer of benefit to me.

I can only give this company 5 stars…

I can only give this company 5 stars due to the above and beyond service I received. I purchased 20kg dog biscuits and my dog wouldn't eat them and he got the runs from them. I wrote a review about it and was contacted by customer service telling me I could return the product for full refund. But I opted for an exchange a young man at the Toowoomba store was most helpful. Carried the 20kg's in for me and carried my purchase out to the car.

Misleading Advertisement

The advertised price online, for repeat delivery is $20 less than it really is! Misleading advertising!
You can get the same petfood from the Vet for the same price or even a few dollars less.

Still waiting for same day order 2 weeks later

I tried to place an order online 2 weeks ago for some wet and dry cat food. But there was a problem with our account and it wouldn't let me place the order. So I had to call and the service rep placed the order manually. I asked for same day delivery but we received part of the order 2 days later -but they sent us dog food - not cat food. Then we got the dry food 5 days later. We still don't have the wet food! I rang again on Wednesday and they said they would send it out. NOw it's arriving next week - 2 full weeks after I placed an order for same day delivery. After multiple phone calls with service reps causing errors each time - we wont be using them again. I called and asked to speak with a manager, but they wouldnt let me talk to one

Ordered cat food off their website

Ordered cat food off their website. Got a call from the Roxburgh Park store to say they had no stock so I had to cancel the order. Now I have to wait 6 business days for my refund. They don't care about pets, just cash. So I'm out of pocket $250 for 6 business days coz they didn't have the stock they advertised. Called customer service and they couldn't care less. Absolutely terrible. Call them Cashbarn not Petbarn. Never experienced such rude customer service. They cracked it at me because I wanted a refund to go somewhere else to get my cats food. Looks like she'll be waiting 6 business days for that food. GO ELSEWHERE. THEY DON'T CARE!

Not happy

I had a repeat order for worming tablets for my dog, I live in the country and it is hard getting it out here. There was apparently an IT issue and my order stopped being on repeat, I contacted them and they organised a new order but the warehouse had no stock and they cancelled it again but did not let me know. Apparently there is some minimal stock in one warehouse but still I am not getting my order.
Very disappointing especially lack of communication.

Big company only interested in profits.

Have been going to Camberwell Petbarn and GreenCross vets for years. I recently lost my cat and went into the store and asked to swap over cat food (in perfect condition) for dog food. I was told because I had purchased the product 45 days ago that it wasn't possible (exchanges must be made in 30 days). I told them my situation, the two store assistants didn't care, were smug and rude. As I was leaving the store they yelled out to me 'Have a great day now'. I was disgusted.

These people don't care about you or your pets. Support your locally owned pet store who have a genuine interest in your pets.

Pay for delivery but they make you collect

I get my cat food delivered in bulk and have a note that this must be left at my door but twice now they have made me go and collect it- it’s heavy and I don’t have a car which is why I pay for delivery! Twice I have raised this with support and they don’t care and do nothing to fix it. Do not recommend.
