In good faith I sent 2 mobile phones to them after receiving an offer price of £44 + refund of postage paid making a total of £48.10. They told me in an e mail that the phones were OK and payment woul... See more

Clearly a scam!
Like everyone else that have reviewed this company, I am fairly sure this is a scam. It took over 10 weeks to get my phone returned after less than half the original offer was suggested. Even then, the return was only after I threatened legal action, BBC's Watchdog programme and also a call to Martin Lewis! Miraculously my phone was returned within 48hrs! Steer clear, it's really not worth it.
Still have no payment after 9 weeks
Do not use these thief's, i will be taking this matter futher.
Horrendous
DO NOT use this company. Been waiting for agreed payment since 25 Nov 2016. They do not reply to emails, their telephone personnel are eternally busy and their website is a complete lie. A fraudulent organisation!
Excellent, so long as you don't expect to be paid.
The system offered by Phone Recyclers is slick and swift, until it comes to the time to pay. It was on 141016 that they confirmed that the sum offered to me was to be paid, but it wasn't. A follow-up e-mail elicited an automatic reply, but nothing more. After eventually getting through on the telephone (a challenge in itself) my bank account details were checked and I was assured that the money would reach my account that day. I didn't believe what I was being told, and it obviously wasn't true. A letter before action is now on its way, as well as a report to Birmingham's Trading Standards Department. I wonder who submits the 5-star reviews? I can only give a strong recommendation to avoid a company whose standards are so questionable.
And as an update: the County Court claim (an easy process online) served on the parent company, SA Corporation Ltd, has been ignored, so a Default Judgment has been issued. I imagine that the Bailiffs know how to find the company.
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM DO NOT INTERACT WITH THEM
they quoted me £137.54 online, but when i sent my phone they only offered me £60 or have my phone sent back to me. I asked them to send it back but they just ignored me even though i tried to get hold of them many times - i.e. they stole my phone. I submitted a court claim and a court order was now issued against them, but they still haven't paid me for the phone they stole from me.
Never Use again
This company is absolutely pathetic! I have sent in two phones in October and still haven't received any money! I have emailed on numerous occasions without reply and cannot get through on the phone - apparently every time I call all of their customer service people are busy helping other customers - pah!!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wouldn't have given them one star but Trustpilot wouldn't accept zero stars!
Con men do not send your phones here!
Have given one star as it won't accep 0. Appalling had 2 phones since October took till January to get money for them , only after calling various numbers 30+ times a day. Syed has owned many companies under different names and owes out a lot of money. Check out phone recyclers fb page. Also google phone recyclers watchdog an see the videos for your self. Stay well clear
Never received money
I sent my phone to this company I'm still waiting for the money I emailed them and have had. No reply. I sent it recorded delivery and have a signature yet still no one is taking notice. I would never deal with this company again
DONT USE THEM!!!
The most unprofessional company I have ever used in my life. I sent them two phones worth £185 each, 15 days later still no payment.
I called the customer service phone so many times I lost count, but still no answer.
I Have only recently found out that its not the real number. You want to call S.A corporations. They will answer instantly then.
When I first called them he was arguing with me telling me he was going to delay my order for another two months for arguing with him about my phone.
Later this month I'm going to be taking them to small claims court if I get no payment.
Still waiting for my money
I posted my phone off on 17th November - I did not hear anything from Phone Recyclers until 23rd December (despite several emails & calls from me) and then I was offered half the amount quoted because they said there was a defect with the phone. £32.00 instead of £65 quoted - as far as I was concerned it was in perfect working order when I posted it. Rather than have the hassle of paying £15.00 to get the phone back I agreed to the amount but to date (20th January) I still have not received the money.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Sent my phone in November and received confirmation of receipt. Nearly 2 months later still no payment.
They do not reply to emails, they do not answer the phone. This is a SCAM COMPANY.
Absolutely disgusted.
FRAUD and THEFT!
FRAUD and THEFT!!!!! I have sent numerous emails and tried to call. I sent the phones in November. Received an email, claiming the money (half of the quotation amount, phones were in good condition) was being processed back in early December! and have not heard anything since and we are now Mid January. Simply unacceptable as that money was going to charity. Its not fair to take advantage of trusting customers. I have also spoken with Trading Standards today as they can't get away with this.
Frauds
Aj10067355.give these a wide birth they will take your phone, offer less.say money on its way .that will be the last you hear from them.no money and no replies toenail, phone or letters. I am going to report them to trading standards
Fraudulent company. AVOID
Don't fall trap for the promises they make in the form of high payout for the mobiles. I sent 2 mobiles & didn't get a penny in return, despite the order being processed successfully for £132. I ignored the negative reviews & repenting now. They don't reply to letters, emails, phone calls & neither send the phones back.
Rip off merchants!
Got offered one price for Sony Xperia phone and sent it in. Then received email saying there was damage to screen (??) and price was therefore reduced. Had another phone so wasn't too bothered and accepted new price. That was in November 2016 and, despite 3 emails requesting payment, still nothing. Wish I'd checked them out using Trustpilot. Obviously, a bunch of shady operators.
AVOID, DO NOT USE, DON'T PAY WHAT THEY OWE
I sent my Sony Xperia Z phone to them in early November and then having agreed a reduced rate for my phone from £37.50 down to £31.88 in mid November due to so called marks and scuffing on the phone (not the case as always been in a full phone case and looked after) I have still not received payment despite sending endless emails and making loads of telephone calls that are never answered or told all operators busy and to phone back or email. This is an appalling service and wish I had read the reviews before I sent my phone. Obviously Customer Services does not exist and I will never be using them again! Shall be reporting them
They Damaged My Phone
I had my phone repaired by my insurers in September so that it was in perfect working condition. In October I sent the Samsung Galaxy S4 to Phone Recyclers who, after inspection, told me the sim card holder was damaged and so they halved the price offered, I declined and requested they send it back.
After them sending quite forceful emails about increasing their offer, I kept saying no so they finally sent it back after 3 weeks. Lo and behold, I go to try the phone today and the sim card holder is broken and not recognising any sims. I know that before I sent it to them it was in fully working order because I was using it myself up until the day I sent it.
They don't want to pay out so they create their own damage and offer a lower price, coincidental? I think not.
Only 1/5 because I cant give zero
Had to argue with Phone Recyclers after they tried to rob me for my S5. Told the representative they were in breach of their T&Cs and that I was willing to pay the £15 to have my phone back because I didn't trust the company. He quickly changed his mind and agreed to pay me for my S5. The 'manager' confirmed on the phone and in writing the money would be paid within 10 days. He I am still haven't been paid. Send countless emails and you can never get through via phone. Given everyone else is having the same experience, I have reported them to comparison websites to have them removed. Anyone any idea how to take getting paid further?
2 months and still no money!
Awful experience - one month after we agreed a (much lower than advertised) price for iPad and iPhone and I still don't have any money or a response to my weekly email that I send them chasing it!
I think all companies offer a lower price than advertised - these guys draw it out so long that by the time you reach something half palatable you just agree as had enough! (It took us a month to agree a price as they only respond to emails after about a 2 week wait!)
SCAM!!! AVOID BY ALL MEANS!!
I have used a few other recycling companies and never had any problems.
I sent my phone with the labels they provided and now they are lying that THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT!!! LIES!! WHY IT DIDN'T RETURT TO ME THEN IF YOU HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT???
Never had problems with free delivery before . These thives will pay for their acts. KEEP MY PHONE SAYD BUT DON'T WORRY - YOUR ACTS WILL CATCH UP WITH YOU.
