Customer service is awful
I've ordered from them for a few years, 2-3 times each year. This last time they've really screwed up and the customer service has been atrocious.
I ordered a 2021 calendar. My mom realised a few days into January that it was a 2020 calendar. I messaged customer service as soon as I heard and they've made it so awkward and infuriating. After requesting proof of the faulty calendar, they said they needed my help to reorder the calendar, providing me with a code to make it free. I tried to do this but the calendar was reordered using a "pre-approved payment" I never knew was set up. I immediately told them that this was an error and I wanted a refund for this, as I just wanted the correct calendar sent to make up for the faulty one. They responded saying I hadn't followed their instructions to input the code and that they could put the money as a credit on my account.
I said this was not acceptable and I wanted a refund for this accidental payment. They take forever to respond so I opened a Paypal claim to get them to take it seriously as I was getting frustrated. They almost immediately emailed to say they wanted me to close the claim, THEN they would refund me. I said I would close the claim when they refunded me.
They emailed AGAIN saying they would refund when I closed the claim. This is NOT the way Paypal claims work. They should know this as a business. I know how easy it is to refund a payment through Paypal. I linked them to a Paypal page that explains how claims are closed and when they should be closed. I told them again I was not going to close the claim until I got my refund and that the claim would automatically close once I was refunded.
I await the refund but will be escalating it if they keep trying to bully me into cancelling the claim.
This is just TERRIBLE customer service. I've been messaging them now for about 2 weeks and the longer a company drags you along, the more fed up you become. I've ordered calendars and photobooks from them before and there were no issues that I was aware of but once there is, it's like battling a dragon to get them to make it right.
In the past, I've found their system very cumbersome because they want you to buy a voucher for a photobook or calendar first and then go back and order it. There was one time I spent forever making my photobook for my voucher not to work for a really silly reason, like I didn't pick the right kind of paper for the book but whatever the reason, it meant I had to REDO the whole photobook. I was annoyed back then but this has just pushed it over the edge.
I highly doubt I would use them again as their customer service is the actual worst.
I have had the most frustrating…
I have had the most frustrating experience of my life with this company. I bought a voucher and have not been able to redeem it 2 months later. It is not listed in my so-called account, their telephone line is constantly busy with no ability to leave a message or get a callback, I was referred to their chatline which doesn't exist on their website and their customer service email address gives you an automated message that they will contact you at their convenience some days later. They have placed every impediment to my completing my order and I despair of ever consummating my transaction.
They eventually reached me by telephone when I persisted but I wasn't at my computer when they called. I am still awaiting their return call which I requested for an hour later when my "account" would be accessible to me.
Avoid these people at all costs!!!!! This review refers to photobook canada and I have no way of distinguishing or from UK or worldwide.
Subsequently spent an hour with their tech, who told me how easy the process was, but had to backtrack several times, adjust the photo, change the voucher and claimed that his 76 year old grandmother did it with ease. I happen to be 76 myself and above average IQ......no way.
Then learned ( can't say I was surprised), that there would be a $50 shipping charge ( would have been free if not a discounted item ). No forewarning of this and totally non-transparent. Given 2 months of frustration, I would have expected them to throw in the shipping rather than rip me off. Alternative would have been a "membership" to Photobook for $39 which would waive shipping. I was so disgusted, I preferred to pay more rather than give them the satisfaction of considering me a member.
I have used Shutterfly etc with ease and am not a dummy. BTW, I have not yet received the finished product and actually am fearful that I will find it in some way unsatisfactory, but won't bother complaining should this be the case.
Just an update; received a notice from their agent DHL that $26 in duty was due and had to be paid before they would deliver. ON requesting the documentation, I learned that $6 was duty and $20 their "administrative fee", superimposed on the $56 I had already paid them to ship. They eventually they sent the delivery COD and my wife unknowingly paid them, which I myself would not have done. When I opened the parcel, there were only 3 of the 4 copies I had ordered, so I have now paid $150 for three photos, when I contracted for $80 for 4.
I don't expect to receive the missing picture as Photobook is asking me for all sorts of documentation of what I received, what I paid etc, all of which is available to them if they look. They offered me a store credit for an unspecified amount for my trouble, but I told them what they might do with it given the painful experience I am still in the midst of.
Lastly, I am receiving daily promotional emails from them and my requests to unsubscribe have been unsuccessful to date
Bad quality and bad service
I got frist samples ok, but then very bad quality for the big quantity.
The company don´t take any responsibility for this and give me the fault.
DON´T USE THIS COMPANY!
Terrible service
Terrible service. Send very bad quality photos and would not accept responsibility. Would not use again
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. The reply comes in really late. Very rigid customer service, who are neither helpful nor willing to accept a complaint.
Software is faulty, does not detect poor quality pictures.
Despite paying a premium for the product, the final result is not how it is expected to be.
HORRIBLE DO NOT USE - 4 WEEKS LATE DELIVERY!!
HORRIBLE DO NOT USE - 4 WEEKS LATE DELIVERY!!
I have ordered a card to be sent to my friend for her birthday, it has been 10 days since the order got put through (despite the website saying there's a 7-day delivery guarantee). I had sent 2 emails to the Singapore team and no response, so I had to call.
They told me their printers are located in Malaysia and had to cross the border to get it delivered to Singapore, despite the website domain clearly states Photobook Singapore - if I knew this was not a Singapore-based company, I would have NEVER USED THIS SERVICE.
Turns out my friend will only receive the "surprise" present very late at the end of the month, which is almost 4 WEEKS SINCE I PURCHASED IT - this is ridiculous, horrible business plan and will NOT SUPPORT and will let everyone know about this SCAM WAYS OF DOING BUSINESS.

Take your money but don't deliver. Avoid
I placed an order, paid online and never received the product. I have since found these reviews, possibly a little too late. Based on my experience and the experience of others this looks like a scam company. Now its about getting a refund.
Avoid
WORST COMPANY OF ALL TIME
WORST COMPANY OF ALL TIME. Charged me three times for a photobook. Refuse to actually read any of the emails I am sending them and send generic responses instead. Terrible. AVOID
Photobook Singapore is terrible
Photobook Singapore is terrible! The photos came out dark and dim, they are totally unacceptable. Food pictures were the worst - they came out blurry. I wasted 260 photographs.
DO NOT order from this website
DO NOT order from this website. I live in the UAE and they state this is a worldwide company so they charged in dirhams. When the payment came through they had charged me in dollars so i paid 57 dollars for 12 photos!! When i asked for an immediate cancellation they claimed they could not refund me because it had already been processed. Really? in less than 24 hours?? JOKE OF A COMPANY. DO NOT USE
Repeat customer
I have ordered multiple hardcover photobooks from this company, and have loved all of them. They all arrive within a week of ordering and the delivery options are perfect - I can arrange to get them at a pickup point to ensure that they do not get stolen. The paper options are all beautiful and the online software is so easy to use. I won't order my photobooks anywhere else.
BAD SERVICE & INVALID VOUCHERS
Their customer support is horrible at responding and there is no phone number to call. The only way to contact them is through email and they may respond once a week, if you email back before they respond your email goes to the bottom of the list for which they respond to. They had a promotion a couple weeks ago for their anniversary sale to purchase vouchers and I purchased about 15 of them for christmas gifts and NONE of them are valid but I was still charged. :(
Disappointing.
Disappointing.
Ordered a photo pillow as a birthday present for my Girlfriend on the 8th of May.
Got the order receipt and tracking code. DHL said it was being shipped since the 11th of May.
My girlfriends birthday was the 14th. No present. It was shipped from Malaysia to Thailand.
I called DHL on the 18th, as I believed maybe due to the weekend the present didn't arrive on time. After I spoke to DHL, I found out that the package was never delivered to their center by Photobook Worldwide. They only made the tracking code, but forgot to deliver the package.
After sending an e-mail to Photobook they first blamed the problem on DHL. After I showed them the proof where they mention in the email the package was never brought to them, they said they would further investigate.
Today I called them and told them to cancel the package, its the 21st now. I want my money back. The lady on the phone said that their company is unable to do that.
After speaking via e-mail with them again they said that DHL couldn't deliver my package due to the remote location. Khao Lak is between Phuket and Ranong and you will nearly always cross it when going up north in Thailand. I cannot believe this excuse.
I was not allowed to get my money back and cancel it, but instead they told me they will ship it with another DHL account and they would offer me a 200 baht vouchers. Nice gesture, but do you think I am interested to order again with this company?
So waiting for the final delivery now. And will perhaps receive the birthday present for my girlfriend 2/3 weeks after her birthday.... amazing.
My bad experience was with photobook…
My bad experience was with photobook europe, but it seems to be the same company. The books were ok, but they charged extortionate shipping fees. Do not use!
Sorry experience, never again..!
My wife purchased a Groupon for 2 dog tags with a simple message on them. She had such a difficult time trying to get their voucher # to be recognized that she threw up her hands and said "to hell with it". She's relatively inexperienced with most things online so I took over. I had the same problems she had, but wouldn't give up. After 8-10 back and forths with their rep I finally got their site to recognize the voucher #. The reps instructions/direction was woefully inadequate and flat out wrong, but she eventually directed me how to get around their inability to recognize the voucher. Their site is NOT intuitive at all. Hated it. Finally got the tags designed and submitted, then it took 3 1/2 weeks for delivery. At 3 weeks I contacted the rep again to ask if that was normal delivery time...
She blew me off and didn't even respond. Altogether a horrible experience, but I gave them 2 stars because we eventually got what we paid for.
Terrible Terrible printing and customer …
Terrible Terrible printing and customer service. Do NOT use this company
Bad Quality prints through their app
Orders some print through their app - guess it's a promotion to use their app. Free 50 prints but pay for delivery. Though i would give it a go but the photos came and turned up all edgy.
At first, they say they would investigate. I sent them the original digital file. I was then send a picture of the photo I uploaded via the app and indeed it looked edgy. So i commented that there might be an issue with the app. But my comment was just brushed off and was told "Your recent experience with us is not typical of the service we wish to provide you, and we hope to serve you better in future."
What does that mean? Poor customer service and definitely not recommending that app!
Never sent me a voucher and no customer service
I wanted to make a phonebook for my mother for Christmas and responded to a special offer from Photobook. I paid £29.90 via Paypal and never heard from them again. When I complained to them by email I to a we are experiencing a high level of emails and will get back to you. Had one more email from them to which I responded and then nothing. I emailed again, nothing. I started a dispute with Paypal, nothing. I am now having to escalate it to a claim and needless to say my mum never got her photobook
