I found myself needing somewhere to live during the start of the pandemic. These guys were so great at getting me moved in so quickly!

The property I lived in was one of nicest houses I have lived in, clean and very new looking. Overall good letting agents! They always sort out any issues very quickly, I would use them again in the future.

My experience with Pillar Properties was excellent! They were always willing to help me and they were very nice to me at all times. Even though, I wasn’t able to move into one of the properties, the process was very simple and the properties seemed very nice and clean. I will use their services again if I come back.

Absolutely rude and unprofessional staff. Had a very unpleasant experience. If you have a choice please go to any other agency especially if you are from outside UK.

I was searching quite last minute for a place to rent in Reading. Sam Guze was very helpful and professional. He showed me some options on the day I arrived in Reading, and thanks to him, I could move into my place very fast. I appreciated how the tenants were screened before moving in, since this allowed us to live in a nice, quite place, surrounded by other hard working professionals.
Any mainenance issues I reported were dealt with immediately thanks to Justin.
My colleague who just moved to Reading is now renting from Pillar Properties too, because I recommended them, and I would rent from them again if work requires me to move to Reading again. Thank you.

I’m currently living in one of there properties and have been here for just 1 month. During this time I can not fault the team, they have all been so helpful. I first met Ivan who showed me around the property to which he was super patient with me as this was my first time moving out therefore had lots of questions, he explained everything to me and helped me out a lot. Lyn has also been fantastic with the moving process , paperwork and again helping me out with anything I was unsure with and replies to my emails within 48hrs. Justin who deals with maintenance issues resolved the problem within 24hrs, I sent an email late last night and he was here at lunchtime to fix it, he was chatty, friendly and once again very helpful. The whole team makes you feel reassured and they are all a great bunch of people who are always happy to help.

Great experience, I had to move very quickly and Lyn was especially helpful getting all the paperwork done and telling me exactly what I had to do to speed it along! Sam and Ivan also both very lovely. Thank you!!!

I have lived in one of Pillar Properties rooms for 2.5 years. The rooms are modern and the staff were very prompt dealing with maintenance issues. Justin was especially friendly in my experience. I also met a lot of young people in the course of living there. Some friendlier than others. On the whole I would recommend renting from Pillar. However, it is important to remember that this is a business for them. Read your contract carefully as they will hold you accountable for everything. Straighten out any gray areas from the start I.e. what constitutes wear and tear and get them to put this in writing before signing/agreeing.

No matter how good a tenant you are there is no leeway with them on anything!!!

Fundamentally it boils down to money and that became increasingly obvious - particularly towards the end of the tenancy.
Moving out was stressful.

However, I respect their desire to ensure the properties are kept in a good condition.

It was my first time in the UK (and Reading) starting Jan 2019 and I was fortunate enough to have found Pillar properties. After just 3 or 4 viewings, I finalised a quality ensuite room that I was extremely happy with, thanks to Sam Guze from Pillar - he understood what I needed to a T and showed me rooms accordingly. For the next one and half years while my tenancy was being managed by them, I saw how professional, punctual and helpful they were. I especially want to call out Sam Guze who went out of his way - at least thrice as far as I can remember - to help resolve difficult situations for me. Way to go, guys and all the very best!

Pilar proprieties has been always helpful and available for any tope of inquiry from my side. Especially Sam who managed to help me arranging virtual meetings to show available properties and sending the most crucial documents in very short period of time, my move form other country to UK went very smoothly thanks to him and his team. Pilar proprieties - very recomendable.

Pillar properties really managed to help me out when I needed a house share. As a young professional, they understood my requirements and matched me with a great house with some nice people. In particular, Sam Guze was a great help throughout and would be on call 24/7 should you have any questions or queries.

I couldn’t recommend Pillar enough, I rented two properties for over 2 years with them. Sam was always super helpful and quick to respond to any issues even at weekend and in the evenings.

I found no issues with Pillar Properties in over 2 and a half years of experience with them. Did not feel the need to move once and would still be living at the same property had I not jumped on the property ladder.

They were responsive to any issues with the property and adaptive to changes in circumstances. Seemingly small team, but they cover a lot of ground!

If I could give 0 stars I would

Saw a property yesterday which I was very interested in, asked to see the contract before handing over a deposit, I asked for a day to look over the contracts.

I phoned the guy that showed me round called Sam Giza, I wanted to ask a few questions about the contract including asking if the property has a licence to be a HMO, What is the definition of "the Property" it should be just the room that I am responsible for and a lot of other things were a bit strange with the contract that I wanted to clear up.

I was then rudely interrupted while asking these questions with “do you even want to rent this property”

I really liked the property and wanted to put a deposit down that day after all the questions were cleared up but after that rude comment I wouldn’t want to live in a house managed by a company like this.

Very bad, do not rent from them. They are rude, provide poor service, charge you for unnecessary cleaning and are very bitter when you move on so charge you £50 to provide reference. Stear clear of them, You've been warned!
