I used to love this app . Now they have put up the price quite a lot and restricted viewing for free users , they very stupid , if I can’t look at what I want then there is no point using this app and I’ve used it for years . It has very few users in my area so no way i would pay so much for so little , get your act together . And return Romeo to what it was

What a crap dating website, when you want to make a discreet profile without your face pics for the whole world to see, this website discriminates you & tells you that you must send them your ID front & back before they will allow your profile to be displayed, i have never seen discrimination so badly on this level agains LGBTQV+ persons, what is strange though is that you see on there site there are many profiles without a face picture because not everyone want's to show a face pic to the whole world. It feels very much like a dictatorship & not the gay freedom they claim in there advertising, so i would suggest to everyone, stay away from this website, they themselves are not being honest & they clearly discriminate. There are much better dating Apps out there, that don't have the horrible backward behaviour.

I cannot understand the reason behind all these negative reviews here, and what is painful for me is can I trust to the other website's reviews?!
I am the member of PlanetRomeo since beginning of 2017. I found some of the best dates of my life in this website, as well as a few number of fake dates. I mean, there are certainly some fake profiles in every dating sites, but you must not date blindly without any inquiries or questions. In comparison to many dating websites, in which when you start membership, you will receive a lot of long messages of girls who want to sleep with you immediately, this one is not full of fakes! Please write your evaluation more accurately and do not ruin trustpilot at least!

The worst gay dating site thats Planetromeo!!!
On the end of July i realized my profile was Deactivated without any reason, and thats not the first time my profile was deactivated. I have no idea why - color of me, or other reason. Before i have been proving them that i m REAL person, by sending them picture of my ID card that was requested by them, and also they asked me to hold hand written by me a paper with my nickname to prove i m the real person, i did it. And now after few months they Deactivated my profile again. The customer service was so nasty and arrogant to me today, but they hide under email without there real name, other wise i will write personal complain against there employee. It s obviously employees of Planetromeo are asking people for personal information as ID card or Passport, and thats against low. I m planing to inform the Dutch police. I have enough evidence - my email conversation with them from the passed.
This time the answer of my email from Planetromeo was starting with DEAR - well i dont know the employee and no one who is unknown for me has the right to start an conversation in this way with me. Seond in a very arrogant way he or she is telling me how the answer of my question is in a email probably in a SPAM box, while i never, never got email from them telling me that they are deactivating my profile, and the reason for it. Since they updated there website from Classic Romeo to Planetromeo i see many of the old options are missing, options that was great to be used. Since few years Planetromeo is turning to a BSH, website full of FAKE and SCAMMERS, and the company of Planetromeo is filling with nasty, unkind and arrogant employees, who dont want to help the customers.

DISGUSTING. The app takes too much space. Too heavy. Too slow. Freezes. Conversation chronology lost after a few days. Admin do not support older devices. THE NEW WEB DESIGN IS WORSE THAN THE OLD CLASSIC VRSION! Vital features are missing. Admin is not objective. Ten years ago my account was deleted without warning because the admin had sided with a person who had insulted me for my approaching him with questions about sex, when this site/ app were and are for dating, which usually end up with sex.

The site has become crap. Used to be very effective to use with lots of good information--now it is inferior to almost all others. Why did you ruin it?

When I try to block spammers, scammers, fakers etc I have to delete any saved profiles, at this rate my only saved ones will be hidden blocked ones and I cannot edit that list for those that have gone or save any decent people. The block must be kept separate since reporting people doesn't have any effect they remain to spam and scam.

I must agree with everyone who says the old ‘classic’ version was much better!

Not content to ostracize their long standing supporters they put another nail in their own coffin by only making an app that works on the latest android platform...I don't change a smartphone every year, if it is serviceable and works. Planetromeo has lost its way.

This happened to me yesterday, my account & profile has been blocked for god knows what a reason & they say that i have to confirm my identity with me holding a piece of paper with my details on it & then take a camera shot & upload this this to my profile for review, i have already confirmed identity via email as disclosed in there terms & conditions as well as having 3 face photo's on my profile for anyone to see hmmm never saw this in there terms & conditions, i do wonder do they ask all there users to perform this act or only coloured guys like myself, after refusing they claimed i abused there system & have rejected my account in the past, would love to see the evidence of this. Ihave subseqently put in 3 seperate complaints towards planetromeo.com for racial discrimination at MIND & in The Police in Netherlands against racial discrimination & i am consulting with a laywer if further steps need to be taken, i will be pursuing a complaint & inform the COC & as always the press including tv needs to be informed of there racially motivated behaviour. I would suggest to all users who are victimised by planterromeo.com to do the same, maybe it is time they recieve a class action lawsuit from people who will not up with this abuse in the EU like what they do in the USA. Let's hope for romeo they have deep pockets for the future because they will need them.

Romeo ruined my life by overtly being a hotbed for criminal activities to one of which I fell victim.

A couple of months ago when I was living in Berlin, Germany I was victimized a heinous sexual assault crime, committed against me by a perpetrator who used your website/app to bait me in, under the pretext of B&B service.

A guy under the name Sewan contacted me when I was looking for a place and edited my profile to reflect the fact, telling me he does B&B and would like to show me his place. His profile reflected this statement.

I went, he left a good impression, I moved in, he started a premediatated series of psychological to retire and culminated in a sexual assault the night I resolved to move out. The incident has permanently traumatized me to the point that I ran away to home in China, lost my job offer and residence in Germany, been under medication since. I finally picked up the courage to report the crime through the German embassy months ago and the prosecutor is working with me now on the case.

I wrote to Romeo to demand an immediately suspend of this criminal’s account to prevent further causaulities, and their reply was, and i quote’ I fully understand your worries, but unfortunately there is very little I can do. I cannot verify anything that does not happen specifically on our website, as it is beyond our control.’

I’m going to start a lawsuit against this company. Anyone who wants to join the class suit please contact me.

Oh well all the old good sites like Planetromeo and Gaydar etc all think they are modernising and all they are doing is destroying what was a fabulous site to use. I used this site and Gaydar and Bullchat a lot when I lived in Holland but not anymore. They have destroyed it so I am going to move on now and find a site that works.

Bring back the old classic. This new site is absolute crap and difficult for us older gays to find our way around. Keep the app site if you want for the tech. freaks but BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION.Can't you understand you're losing thousands of your long-standing supporters all over the world?

Planetromeo : What a disaster! 90% of fake profiles, professional whores who announce you the price directly, african racists who insult you of "f...ing white", resellers of weed, viagra and dirty chems. An app crammed with ads, a website that constantly bugs. And my account deleted for no reason and they have the nerve to say that they do not want to expand about this deletion. Anyway, ciao. I will look elsewhere. Stay between mediocre guys, it will make us vacation!

I don’t like the new site at all. Bring the classic back and stop trying to be be like Grindr and Scruff! We don’t need all that and I’m not interested in seeing my neighbors either. I can’t even make an account on my phone without having to download a stupid app cause the website “doesn’t work” on the phone’s browser. Even uploading a photo and finding your album is a whole task. I’m 32 years old and have using Gay/Planet Romeo for 12 years now(on and off)and the classic version was perfectly fine. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!

Unfortunately the old Interface where more interesrting adn tidy.
This absurd trend to make all "app like" does not takke in account that a PC is not a Smarto phone, but force us to use the page in the same way. This is the same error microsoft did.

Planetromeo Classic was so much better!
Lots of functionalities are missing in the new version, customer service is non-existing.
I used to be a Plus member, but as long as the classic version isn't back in service, I'm not even considering of paying for that useless site.
