Paying to use features of a purchased game, such as online gaming, is greedy as hell. Soney, you have forgotten your customers, and it will come back to haunt you.

£50 for a service I wont use

Tried to cancel ps plus. After it auto renewal. I dont use the service anymore. So its a waste of £50. Disgrace. Offer a 14 day cooling off period. But don’t honour that agreement. Have had a playstation since 1997. Couldnt reward me with any loyalty what so ever. Will consider moving to a different console going forward.

You pay for the free feature and for something you do not use

You pay for something you do not use.
If you just want to play on-line a couple of hours a week, then it becomes extremely expensive. You obviously do not need a yearly subscription if you are not sure you'll have time to play each month. In addition, some people do not need a free game(s) each month: for example I buy a new game once or twice a year. Why do you even have to pay for the opportunity to connect with others: I thought it became free already for 20 years ago... You have officially paid for the console and the game and the internet access, why pay for the permission to play on-line?? This is a dishonest product, which I'd recommend to avoid.

Horrible laggy rubbish

Ps now is terrible and to add insult to injury I can’t even buy a download version of the games I want to play. Forced to struggle with laggy rubbish being ‘streamed’.

I purchased ps plus and accidentally…

I purchased ps plus and accidentally applied ps plus to a different account that I no longer have access to because the sign in info was saved on website and now I have had a refund processed but they won’t allow me to transfer the ps plus to my active account. Why do PlayStation allow you to purchase a subscription for an inactive ps account?

Very very very bad offers, super expensive and the worst is
All online games full of cheaters, a new game comes out, first week full of cheaters and exploiters.
Sony doesn't do nothing about it, selling my ps5 for a xbox at least they have game pass to get fun instead of rage that's the point of videogames sony, just learn with them

DO NOT PURCHASE PLAYSTATION PRODUCTS

Was unaware that last year when I bought ps plus that auto renew would automatically be turned back on. Not only that but was given no notification prior to the charge that auto renew was on and a charge was going to be made. Don’t play PS4 anymore so didn’t even look to check. Called and tried to get a refund, extremely rude customer service representative and rude manager as well. Manager even hung up on me in the middle of me speaking. Was told that the “transaction and purchase” of this most recent ps plus membership took place last year not this year and that therefore the 14 day grace period didn’t apply. Not only that but she LIED and tried to say that I used to PS plus to play games on my system. I never used my System to play, I only ever logged in on my brothers and when I did I opened the menu of modern warfare, closed it out, and logged off. Never even played or used anything that would require PS plus. Called again and was told again that I was not eligible for even a partial refund. Second time calling, the customer service representative was much nicer and actually seemed sympathetic and apologetic about the situation. Even so, he said that there was nothing he could do because their reports were showing that I “used the PS plus membership”. DO NOT BUY PS PLUS AND DO NOT PUT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION ON FILE

Biggest ripoff

Biggest ripoff. Paid for console. Paid for game. I SHOULD have access to play my games in full without a subscription fee but this garbage money grubbing company has to milk every penny. All the games are going online only, meaning you have to buy their bad service sub or you cant play the games you paid for. I switched to pc and sold my playstation. Never getting scammed by consoles again.

They take payment whenever they want

They take payment whenever they want, they are supposed to take payment on the 21st but it changes all the time, this month was the 12th and then taking payment on the wrong date prevented me from paying other bills due on this date.

PS now on PC, lack of support

I have been using PS now for about 3 months now and every so often when there is an update, the PS now store just stops working, I cant open any games and the thing just hangs.

There is no support outside of the US/UK and you are not even able to connect to a UK contact centre via chat as they geo lock the chat settings, most people in Sweden and the nordics speak better english than the english.

There seems to be a lot of bugs with the Swedish servers as the above issue happens 2 or 3 times a month, usually when I have time to play, I read on reddit that someone did get through to a US contact centre and they were about as useful as a chocolate hot air balloon, blaming the customers hardware and not the server software or the buggy update.

This is a streaming service so there should be an up to date server status somewhere that is accurate and not fixed to always ok. I am currently working through Borderlands and once thats done im going to cancel the subscription, I know this isnt really designed for PC useage but if it advertises as working then it should be fit for purpose.

Money grabbing garbage

When I bought PS4 it was 500$ + RDR2 game for 50$ and I can't play online only single player. Need to pay monthly for PS plus . I payed for game and console in full and I want full access to the game! Not half! If not I want half of my money back. Compared to PC and Steam where online is free, this is a money grabbing scam. It's like 30$ a month, half of my internet bill.. Not going to waste any more of my $ and definitely not buying the PS ever again.

This sucks

This sucks. can't do anything inside the PC appilication. Controller (original DS4, and even with cable) seems to connect, but inside a game, nothing happens (can't click start, go or whatever).

Impossible to cancel

Impossible to cancel. No customer service. Absolutely absurd with everything going on in the world, if someone wants to cancel a subscription, you let them. You don't make them call and chat with robots. NEVER AGAIN.

Ps now is removing a save files from games you play...

I have it for about 3 months and play a horizon via streaming. Then horizon was gone and I didn't download it as I didn't know I can keep the game. But I was sure I have my save but it turns out that not. I just bought a disc version of horizon and have to start from new. Really bad I fault saves are bounded to my account but ps now don't keep nothing. Shame.

It's awful

It's awful. Network speeds from early afternoon Monday to Friday are so bad that online games aren't playable.
Playstation support are just as bad. Take approximately 40 mins to get through. The user takes some notes and you don't hear back for weeks. When you do get an email update, they suggest something they already know you've tried.

PlayStation Plus Auto Renew Con

Beware the Auto Renew option, even if you have previously set it to ‘No’. I purchased a 12 month PlayStation Plus instant download code from an online store to save approximately 25% off of Sony’s current price. The code worked fine and all went well for the 12 month period until it expired and Sony charged my saved payment method the expensive Sony renew price for another years subscription.

Apparently, even if you buy a download code for your 12 month PlayStation Plus subscription to avoid paying the Sony higher priced option, it is considered to be an ‘ongoing’ subscription product and because it is an ‘ongoing’ product Sony will automatically change your Auto Renew option to ‘Yes’ and then next year when the current cheaper product expires they will then Auto Renew the product at the full Sony price.

Once you receive your bill for another year of full priced Sony membership you now have 14 days to apply for a refund. The refund application form and information you will need to fill out this form is across different websites, making it harder then it needs to be.

Well, 24 hours after submitting my application for a refund I did get a full refund with a nice email from a Sony Customer Support employee saying how this time they would make an ‘exception’ an process the refund even though it was my fault as the product was ‘ongoing’ which gives them the right to Auto Renew it.

As a result of this, I have now removed my payment method from my PlayStation account and I would also advise anyone else out there who doesn’t want any surprises to also do the same. I thought having a payment method stored on my PlayStation account was for my benefit for when I wanted to make purchases without having to keep on entering my payment method in over and over again, but making use of this option also then leaves the door wide open for Sony to sneakily help themselves to your money.

Cheap tricks like this fully earn you the one star you have been awarded.
