Shockingly bad

Shockingly bad. No user testing obviously. I book a lesson and Playtomic cancel my lesson due to a glitch? Not my club cancel it; playtomic did. Only found out after driving 35 minutes to get to the club.

Seriously poor. I now understand why a lot of Spanish clubs have their own club apps.

I had a very disappointing experience

I had a very disappointing experience with Playtomic.

I joined a match that I clearly understood to be a competitive game. When I arrived at the court, the situation was suddenly different. There was confusion about the match type, and the opposing players even stated that they had changed it because they felt we were stronger players. This led to a disagreement on site, and I decided not to play under those changed and unclear conditions.

Despite being physically present and ready to play, I was marked as a “no-show” and charged for the match.

What is most frustrating is how one-sided the resolution process was. I contacted support multiple times, explained the situation in detail, and even clarified that I was present at the venue. However, they relied solely on their “system logs” and completely dismissed what actually happened on site. There was no real willingness to consider context or find a fair solution.

The response felt rigid, impersonal, and ultimately unfair.

It is disappointing to see a platform with such a strong position in the market handle situations like this without flexibility or customer-oriented thinking. It gives the impression that they can enforce decisions without meaningful accountability.

I hope that more alternatives will enter the market soon, so players are not dependent on a single platform.

Unfortunately, this experience has significantly reduced my trust in Playtomic.

Rubbish experience using coach level assessment, £28, done in twenty minutes

Had a coach assessment, barely any introduction, and twenty minutes later given a level rating.

Unimpressed with the conduct of their approach.

I unilaterally lowered my rating by more than 2.50. You cannot restore your original rating gained from more than 150 games. A mistake.

My recommendation is don’t bother to get a level assessment.

Better still, close your account, create a new one and set up a new rating level. Be honest with your own subjective assessment. I restored mine to its original rating before erroneously lowering it.

Zero customer support …

Playtomic is okay for finding matches but has zero customer support so when there is an issue you are completely stuck and the chatbot is absolutely effing useless.
I have heard there is a new app coming out that will be way better than this with actual help when needed I hope this is true and hope it comes along soon so all of the people that are moaning about Playtomic can get rid of it once and for all

In to make easy money

Ok for arranging games but the rating algorithm must have been put together by a 4 year old child. Think they wud have put some thought into it for the easy money they receive. If u just say get beat of soneone way higher than you ,your rating goes down???? Obviously run by money grabbing morons.

Slow Customer Support

Customer support makes you wait for hours and you can’t even receive a response unless you’re staring at the app. Furthermore, the ability to edit and change games is so restrictive and you end up being paired with people 2x as good as you because it locks you out of level control

When subscribing the App clearly mentions "Try 14 days for free". DO NOT CLICK subscribe if you expect to have a free trial. As they will deduct money from your bank account immediatly.

Even when contacting them for support, several times, they do not refund the money. Crazy!

The levels are not accurate

Playtomic, The levels are not accurate! People know how to work the system by playing a match with people at much higher levels than them just to pull their level up. Needs to be a way to level people individually. Leveling sessions don’t work well either.

I was unexpectedly charged 1000 Euro…

I was unexpectedly charged 1000 Euro with an invoice marked “auto-renewal,” even though I never authorized such a transaction or made any purchases thorugh your app. This has been done from "Aircourts" and based on Google, they are part of you!
This forced me to delete my payment card for security reasons and by now having multiple additional troubles. I still have not received a clear explanation of why this happened or how my data is being handled. I expect a full refund and an explanation as well as information how my data are handled!

Terrible

I am a member of a club so do not pay for a court. However I still have to go through the £30 charge held on my card. This however isn’t the problem. I have now had two charges of £20 taken out of my account. I have complained on two separate occasions and have not had a refund. If the future is ‘chat bots’ then we are all screwed. I will now be taking my complaint to my club. Hopefully if they get enough complaints they will stop using this company.

Terrible Service

Terrible!
Booked a court through Playtomic at Home Padel Hoofddorp. Canceled on time, didn't play, and then received a misleading email. Ultimately, money was lost and no response. This company still has a lot of room for improvement.

Inhuman customer service

I loved playing Padel & booking via Playtomic until today. Due to jetlag, I inadvertently missed a match for the first time. I apologised as soon as I woke up but 1 of the players was adamant that he'd report me as a no-show.

I then get a demand request from Playtomic for the entire court booking despite the fact the remaining 3 players were able to practice without me.

I pointed out that it was my first offence after 11 matches, that I'd experienced a no-show previously and wasnt aware that I could complain so hadn't been compensated, and suggested a warning would be more appropriate in the first instance but they didn't care and pointed to small print in their ts & cs.

Looking at the small print it appears that my mistake was to apologise to the other players in the chat, because the chat content is used to evidence a no-show. Having discussed this extensively with Playtomic they've confirmed that they scrutinise the match chat so if a no-show apologised they'll impose a whole court booking fee as a fine, but if they remain silent, all 3 players have to ask for a refund in the match chat. It's literally fining nice people only.

So just be aware any of life's unfortunate events e.g. public transport issues, medical episode etc will end up with a disproportionate fine if you apologise to your fellow players.

Having spoken to the venue directly, they've kindly offered to credit my club wallet for the value of the fine imposed by Playtomic but that doesn't resolve the matter as that just means that the fine has been effectively shifted from me to the Venue which isn't fair on them. Playtomic have only offered under duress to consider an amendment to their no-show policy at the next review.

A positive I established from this stressful experience was that you can bypass Playtomic's fees by asking the Venue to top up the club wallet. Out of principle I intend to do this going forward.
