Unfortunately they have there staff…

Unfortunately they have there staff writing back to the people who leave bad reviews to make sure they de value people’s experience and gas light you , why would I call back your office when you start hanging up on people, never return calls and un plug the phone , the damage is done you already robbed £900 …notice no apologies , all our experiences are very real and happened with your company so please don’t tell lies my review is real from a real experience from your horrible company put me through not illegal content , however what your doing is illegal

Annual checks, filter replacement and heating sorted within agreed price. Man who came was very professional and tidy. Happy with the service.

Scammers!!!

Please avoid at all cost! ! This company is charging us £950 for a boiler repair, 2 "engineers' have shown up but the boiler remains broken.Spoken to the " head office" multiple times - they have promised to issue a refund but it's all empty words. They keep putting us on hold and hanging up on us. We have CCTV footage of these "engineers" fixing nothing, charging us and leaving. We will pursue to take legal action. Extremely unprofessional company, they all are scammers!!

Scammers!
We were promised a full refund within three working days, but it never arrived. This company is extremely unprofessional, starting with their manager, Scott, the help desk, and including their engineers, who seem unqualified and lack proper experience or credentials in boiler repair.
After waiting an entire week for the promised refund, on the 20th of November, we were informed that we would not be receiving it. As a result, we will be reaching out to Citizens Advice Bureau for assistance.
If you’ve also been scammed by this company, please report them to the police for fraudulent actions and Trading Standards. It’s crucial to raise awareness about this fraudulent company and prevent others from falling victim.

Booked a next day visit from them to…

Booked a next day visit from them to come and take one look at my boiler and say it was broken and needed repairing at a cost of £650+VAT. I said no as I have a friend who is away but I would rather give the money to. The engineer had already left by this point saying the unit was unsafe bit didn't bother to come back and even turn it off so left me to pull out every appliance in my kitchen to try and turn the thing off myself. Almost £60 call out fee for what!? They just get you hooked by leaving the shop to 'call head office' and leaving you no choice but to pay them to come back and finish the job. By the time I'd started pulling out the fridge he'd left anyway to go to another job according to the lady on the phone - load of rubbish. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

We reviewed the details of your job and found that Customer Support team did call back within a few minutes and several times after to advise on exactly where to isolate the power, also offering to leave details with the lady who was free to answer. The fixed price we gave was to replace the unit and for installation to current standard for your business. Had there been a small parts repair option, after we had assessed, it would have been done within the £49 + VAT. That charge was as agreed, covers the assessment made and advice on what is required. Further to review on Plunger Ltd from 19/11/2024, as I have not been contacted for repairs/refund of my £225 deposit - the company have been report to Company House, Fraud Action and Watchdog

Scam - Avoid at all cost

What a scam of a company. Took my £150 deposit and did not turn up for the appointment which was scheduled for 08/11/2024. When I chased them late in the afternoon stated that their plumber is messing them about and will send another first thing the following morning. Since then every time I call the man that answers hangs up the call. Refusing to give my money back but I won't let this go as they do not realise I have cameras installed in the front and hallway of my property.

Beware of scamsters

They get a star because there is no zero to give. Absolutely scam. They display a cheap price so you can book it but on arrival they quote a unreasonable price. They quoted me 397 pounds and I got it done elsewhere in 50 pounds. So basically they just turned up and with no troubleshooting took the call out charge and disappeared. Help desk people are no different who like to be rude, hang up on you and be unhelpful. Avoid at all costs. Pay a little extra elsewhere with a reliable service. I regret as I didn't see the reviews before booking.

WORST EVER STAY AWAY

This company is the worst company on the face of the earth. I’ve had no hot water for two months (since August) they replaced my old boiler with a cheap lacklustre boiler in May that continued to break and it August it completely packed up. Pimlico plumbers came and said this boiler is not fit for purpose and needs to be replaced as it will keep breaking. Plunger continue to lie they are going to attend and never do. They will put the phone down you when call. Lie they’re on the way, then say they’re waiting for a part. They even created a fake report saying they came and everything was working fine when they did NOT attend. They’re clearly now trying to fake the reviews as I cannot see how this company can get a good review. Everyone’s experience is the same. I have a baby in the house and have to use a kettle to bath him. This company has no morals they are thieves and scammers. STAY AWAY!!!!

GREAT SERVICE

Fantastic company and great customer service. I just had a new boiler installed into our house even though there was an initial issue as it was not heating as much as I thought it would. Dennis relocated the thermostat , now the house is perfect and warm. Thank you to him and the customer service team . Quality work, if you are looking for a boiler or just need a repair, this is the company i would 100% recommend!!

Awful customer service and practices- don't use.

Engineer came to service and look into a fault in my 7 year old boiler, through the misinformation I was told, I was persuaded to buy a new one. Due to this the service was not done. I changed my mind the following day and when he returned I told him, very intimidating response. I was told I won't get my money back, he said he wouldn't leave until it was sorted and threatened to cap my gas off. Nearly a month later, I am still waiting to be refunded the money they finally agreed to.
I have finally received the refund.

please avoid this company

please avoid this company, i contacted them over a small boiler leak they convinced me i needed a new boiler - shut off all my supply and said i needed to fit a new one asap. i did, the cost was over £2000. the fitted the boiler 3 days later and told me to turn it on 2 hours after they had left. the boiler never worked i contacted them, i was told they would sent someone out, this went on for 9 weeks. i had to call them everyday sometimes up to 3 times per day to beg them to resolve the issue as me and my 5 month old were without hot water. they kept telling me someone would attend the following day and no one every would, over the course of the 9 weeks someone attended twice told me they had fixed the boiler and to leave it off for 2 hours and then turn it off - it never worked. After 9 weeks of getting no where with them i sought legal advice to which i was told i was able to contact another company to rectify this issue and they would have to cover the cost. the new company told me they had fitted the boiler on the completely wrong wiring and blown inside parts of the boiler. the manufacturers had to come out and replace the boiler. I was told by plunger i would be receiving compensation over 3 weeks ago, still yet to receive it and now they have blocked my number so i will be taking the case back to the lawyer. oh they also delete reviews from their site

Please do not use this company!!

Please do not use this company!!! They came quickly to assess the boiler and took half payment for the works but did not return to do the work. You call the call centre and they keep saying that they will be there within the hour. Totally unprofessional. Giving them 1 star is too high. Again DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

just like the staggeringly high percentage (82%) of negative reviews left on here for plunger.uk.com i’ve another to add to the tally… how i wish i’d looked here first!
after taking initial payment (job unseen) it’s down hill all the way. their work is shoddy, they don’t keep to their word, and vanish before finishing the job (though fully paid). all attempts to get them to rectify problems have been ignored / failed. and now they’ve blocked my number. complete charlatans. they (Stuart Hall & Co) should be sat in a bath of cold water and bared from trading ever again

SCAM. Stay very very far away.

Came out very quickly the first time, charged £300 to clean out the boiler, which took less than 20 minutes so not sure why it cost £300. Reassured us that this would fix the problem. Less than 4 hours later, the boiler started showing the same issue and has got steadily worse since. Have called multiple times and been told someone would come and fix it. No one has showed up (3 times now). Refuse to discuss it, refuse to come and fix it, refuse to offer a refund, now blocked our number.  We had to borrow money to pay for this fix and we're going to have to borrow even more to pay for the fix/the actual problem. Please don't waste your hard earned money on these people - Pay a bit more for a reputable plumber, it'll cost you less in the long run.

Please avoid this company at all costs

Please avoid this company at all costs. I had a boiler leak called them
Out they told me I needed a new boiler costing over 2grand, I went ahead and purchased and paid them
To fit it. The boiler has never worked since they installed it. I have a baby who was 5
Months old at time of installation, 9 weeks later and we are still without hot water. I’ve called them everyday for the last 9 weeks they keep telling me someone is coming out and no one turns up. I have no had to contact another company to come and look at it, they told me plunger had wired it completely wrong and blown the insides of the boiler. They’ve left a young baby without hot water for over two months and don’t care. I am now having to take legal action to recover costs. Please avoid

A gas leak was discovered by octopus…

A gas leak was discovered by octopus energy fitter on a new meter , so I called this plumbforce and they've sent a so called "gas safe engineer " they've tested my gas hob and boiler and told me I needed a new gas line from the meter outside to the back of my flat , costing a massive £6000 which they quoted me in writing , I wasn't happy with this so I called another gas safe engineer from SGN and found a leaking connection on the back of my gas hob which was fixed under £60 , plumbforce charged me £185 for their misleading investigation knowing that they were ripping me off for a fix costing thousands which I didn't really need , I tried to get a refund but but a very rude character on the phone told me to basically get lost , i am now considering taking legal action against these cowboys, i wish i had read all these negative reviews before calling them , avoid them at all costs

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. Booked a plumber for a tap replacement for fixed price as per website. He turned up early which was fine but then after he asked the price I was quoted found an excuse to go to the van then came back whilst speaking on the phone and picked up his tools and just left and didn’t come back. Didn’t say why he was going, no explanation. Called the office multiple times to see what went on and whilst Scott was friendly he didn’t call me back or apologise. Wasted my time and theirs - if you don’t want to do the job just tell me. Avoid them at all costs, I wish I had read the bad reviews before booking. Lesson learnt.
