Fraudulent also same director for Plumbforce Direct Limited…

Also known as Plumbforce Direct Limited both run by Stuart Hall with various correspondence addresses. Unsure if Scott Hall is an alias but I have filed a small claims court application today. Fraudulent company who hide behind ‘5 star reviews’. Took £418 for a job that never got fixed over 10 minutes. Follow up plumber did the job for £10! Keep clear these are scammers. . I’ve contacted trading standards too .

Disgusting service

Disgusting service. Avoid at all cost.
Booked for next day, didn’t attend.
Re booked, was late.
Overcharged me, I intend to check the item they changed if was even faintly
In my opinion they delay arrival so client has no time to look for another provider and agrees to pay for repair.
Dishonest to say the least.
Telephone staff while booking ok afterwards everything is a problem.

Absolutely appalling.

The service here was disgusting. Firstly the office team couldn’t get off the phone quick enough, not taking any details at all. Quoted £49 and a time slot, which they failed to show for. When called they said, we’ll call you back - they didn’t… this happened 7 times. They then proceeded to decline my calls and then block my number! It won’t be a surprise that they never showed. Their manner is vile and quite frankly if I could give 0 stars, I would.

SCAM..

SCAM... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

How I wish I had read the reviews. £500 poorer, after the job on the boiler was misdiagnosed and not fixed (although I was told it was). Two wasted days staying in when they did not send anyone out to resolve the problem having promised they would. They lie and take your money, and are completly incompetent.
AWFUL customer service, Sylvia is passive aggressive, she completly and knowingly fobs you off, its insulting. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. The company has assigned its name to other companies (presumably to hide themselves because of the reviews). No doubt they will be forced to change their name altogether so they can carry on scamming people. Make sure you ask if they are called Plunger Ltd if you are searching under an umbrella company. Worst experience I have ever had with a service, if had the option of no stars I would. I am reporting this to trading standards and the police. I am seeking legal advice on how to retrieve my money. Absolutely criminal and do not believe the stars on their website!!!

SCAM!!

SCAM!!! PLEASE DON’T USE!!! I’m not usually the one to write reviews but I feel the need to write one to protect others from falling victim to this scam they have going on.

I had a flame failure on my boiler and with a new baby in my house, I decided to get an engineer to come and look at it quick. I booked an appointment and they sent someone the next day. They came and done the job and charged me £350 and they preferred cash so I took money out of the cash machine and gave it to them.
I asked them for a receipt or invoice and they told me their office will email me one.

I waited and waited, nothing came through. Less than 5 days later the boiler stopped working again. I called the company and they said they will send someone over to come and take a look in the next 3 days. On the day of the appointment which was meant to be between 12-2pm. No one turned up. I called the company and they said someone will still come. I called again around 5pm and they said the engineer is about an hour away.
I waited the whole day and no one showed up.

The next day, which is today, I called the office again, I spoke to a guy called Scott. He kept on saying I should hold on he’s going to speak to someone. Then he will hang up on me. I have called a total of 8 times and now my calls are not going through, I believe they have blocked my number. I’m going to do everything possible to try and get my money back but please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are heartless they’ve taken my money and don’t even care one bit that it’s winter and there’s a new baby in my house. Shameless!!!

The engineer had a look at the boiler…

The engineer had a look at the boiler and said that it needed a new pcp board also called a mother board and it needed a boiler thermostat so he said, and that I would need to pay over £850 right away before he goes He said he can’t wait more then five minutes for me to pay.
He went on to say that he recommended the boiler is renewed and that would cost about £2,500
I called his office and let them know what was happening and the man in the office ask me to pay the £95 call out fee. I ask him if he would send me a written quote for the £850 being demanded by the engineer and you can guess it never arrived.
The pcp board price is £80 and the thermostat did not need replacement.
When I called the office the Gentleman said that he would send the written quote but never did.
He obviously had no intention of sending a quote for such a huge amount knowing that it would implement him in this over priced scam. Please beware of this company.

Scam, don't trust

Don't trust these guys, had booked for a boiler repair, and they changed the schedule three times and didn't show up. They also made a replica of the Trustpilot rating on the website to hide their bad reputation. Stay away from them.

No shows on 3 occassions...then I gave up!

After 3 seperate appointments were set up for a plumber to visit, NO ONE showed up at any of them! What an absolute joke! Yes the service reps might sound friendly, but this is the most unreliable company i have dealt with in a long time.....avoid!!

Rudest customer care agent Silvia, AVOID

Engineer arrived promptly, but sceptical as to whether the job was fabricated to make us pay more. Previous plumber who I was unable to find again, quoted us £150 to unblock a sink, Plunger who said £79 plus VAT now turned into £420.

If we didn't go ahead and choose another plumber, we still had to pay the £79 plus vat, a dishonest practice.
We went ahead with it, and payment was quickly set up, literally he hadn't left the flat and was rushing us to do it. Our bank approved payment, but Silvia called within seconds saying it hadnt gone through,
I explained I had a notification it had, she absolutely lost it, turned aggressive, rude, talking over me, I was in shock that she is in this position dealing with customers.

I attempted again, and still my bank said it was authorised, she called again, ranting at which time my husband had to deal with her, she was continuing to talk over him, saying we weren't doing it right, he had to calm her down, but she started again with her very aggressive manner.

I asked for another way to pay, and we did by bank transfer.

Had I have done my research and seen what a dreadful company they are and ripping people off, I would not have booked them.
A very bad experience which ruined our day and bank balance.

Silvia should not be in customer care, she has no patience or understanding to blips to online payments as they can happen, total loony.

Scam

This is a scam company do not use, the £49 is an indirect call out charge , they come to you and says the problem is going to cost you more , and if you refuse to go with them , they will tell you to pay the £49 since they come out to check.

SCAM DO NOT USE

#Plungerltd.com They charged me to replace my boiler parts they said is broken but did not gave an invoice because they did not replace the parts. I've been chasing for 7 months. If you have not complained to the Trading Standards, Gas Safe Register or Citizens Advice, please do so to get struck off and they can stop scamming!

Fraud

They just try to scam people into buying their £450 service and do absolutely nothing in the engineer visit. Try to show themselves as busy calling their supervisors while actually just scrolling on their phones.

I wish I had looked at the reviews on…

I wish I had looked at the reviews on there before calling this company out. Massively unprofessional and disturbing experience. I won't go into the detail, but, I can't imagine that anyone would book them if they saw these reviews.

For anyone that is affected by this company, I urge you to report them to trading standards. They have been operating for a long time, and presumably repeat offending.

I can't add the link to the trading standards website, but if you type citizens advice trading standards in a search engine, you will be able to make a report.

You can look up the company on the Gas Safe Register, and make a complaint there too. It's easy to find via a search engine, and you can use the registration number of the engineer, 659591. (There only seems to be one engineer working at the company)

Finally, a note to Trust Pilot, this company seems to have a batch of reviews on their home page, styled to look authentic, but, they are simply reviews added in the content of the website and are not independently verified. They are styled to look like Trust Pilot reviews.

Robbers in broad daylight do not use this company

Found them online and stupidly didn't do my research, they came to my premises and said they needed to get a part and would be back next week to fix the boiler, I paid a £380 deposit over the phone to their boss. They came back the following week and said they couldn't do the job. I called to get a refund and it didn't come no matter how many times they said they would process it. These people are liars, thieves and not to be trusted. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. The good reviews are fake don't be fooled.

This is a Scam Company / AVOID!

This is a Scam Company. They over charge you and get you to pay 50% upfront and then never show up! Ive been given multiple excuses by Scott and eventually he sent me an email confirming a refund! £369 never got bank to me. I’ve reported to Bank and will report to Trading Standards too!
