Received a damage figure that claim to be New
Made an order on they site for Hot Toys Darth Vader Deluxe (Kenobi Version)
Unbox the figure and inspect it immediately like i do with every new figures.
I notice there are few noticeable scratch marks on the helmet but the main one that is bothering me the most is one the top of the front of helmet.
I shortly contacted them for explanation and to seek if i can get a replacement part (Helmet).
All i got in reply is "I'm sorry but this doesn't meet the threshold for damage or replacement I'm afraid."
and only refund option.
I spend on import Tax which cost me a fraction of what the figure cost at retail and this only giving me the option to refund me for the figure is insulting when i spend a massive fraction of importing it to me (I'm aware that they don't deal with the custom but still giving me one option to refund and i be losing out on the import cost) that just shameful, all i wanted is a replacement part and i can put this to rest but no they still haven't given me a reason to why they label it as new figure and it arrived damage.
Fast Delivery Time
I purchased a hot toys figure that is no longer sold in the US other than EBay. Time it took from when I made the order to receiving the package was only 9 days. Super fast considering from Australia to US. Package arrived not damaged and the figure in perfect condition. Will definitely buy from them again.
I ordered FunkDamaged Funko Pops – Poor Packing and No Responsibilityo Pops from Popcultcha
I ordered Funko Pops from Popcultcha, and they arrived in less-than-good condition because they weren’t protected at all during shipping. The boxes were dented and not suitable for collectors. When I contacted customer service, they refused to take any responsibility or provide a solution.
Because of this experience, I won’t be ordering from Popcultcha again. If you care about the condition of your collectibles, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
No care for the product, customers or the law
I've used Popcultcha a number of times over the lat 5 years and generally they have been ok. But much like some of their other recent reviews I've been massively let down by them with my latest purchase and likely won't ever use them again.
I place a $430 order for a number of pops, when the box arrived there was a hole in the exterior. I opened the box to find them wedged in with no real room between any of them and just 6 pieces of the local newspaper as packaging. Their T&C state "Here at Popcultcha, we take pride in ensuring that your goods have been carefully picked are packed with care to ensure that your item is not only of the highest possible quality". This is a false representation.
$170 of items arrived with rips, holes or completely bent out of shape. So I emailed them with images and have been dealing with Stu. He has quite kindly found replacement boxes for the two cheapest items, but to get the boxes I have to place a new order. They have offered me $50 credit for the other damaged items, but i'll have to pay shipping and handling of around $45 to get that. They have no understanding of UK consumer laws with their approach. I have been told I can return the items to Australia for a refund at my own cost.
But I was advised by Stu that if I proceeded to perform a charge back for the damage items they would consider this as fraud and would contact the respective legal parties.
this the worst service
this the worst service I have ever received
over 4 month and I still dong get the product
I will never be purchasing from this company again
I have bought a number of items from this company in the past. However, the last pop that I ordered came damaged with poor packaging. I contacted them and was shocked at the lack of a resolution. They offered me a $5 voucher or to return it at my own cost which obviously wasn't worth it. They didn't take any responsibility and merely told me that "we do understand that some collectors place their own value on the packaging your pop was not damaged". I clearly would not have bought the item damaged so this made no sense to me. I will ensure that I will not be purchasing from this company again and from the sound of other reviews, this is common practice for them. I expected far more from a large company. Buyer beware
poor customer service
poor customer service
received an item with scratched paint they told me it was a variation and could not be replaced. on top of this I was told I could not choose if my items were shipped with Aramex and Australia post when notifying them that Aramex here has issues I was simply told to redirect items to post office which does not help due to the hours I work.
They send damaged collectible item
I bought a couple of pops from them, and all of them arrived damaged. They state on their website that "they are collectors who package items with extra care," but this is not true. The shipping box arrived in good condition, but the pops inside were ripped. They didn’t bother to add any bubble wrap and only used some newspaper for protection. I don't think this provides adequate protection for the items.
When I tried to contact customer service to report the damage and seek assistance, they responded by saying that the pop itself was not defective or damaged. As collectors, we know there's a significant price difference between an in-box pop and a loose one. In the end, they could not do anything to help. Their business has gone downhill for some reason. I’ve bought many pops from them before, but their service has become extremely poor this year. I hope this review discourages you from buying any collectible items from them, as there is a 90% chance they will send you a damaged one.
Value and reliability
Very surprising the number of negative reviews I see here. I'm in Australia and have bought dozens of polystone high end statues, i've literally spent thousands with them over 15 years, never a problem, never been ripped off. Had a few minor chips a few times but polystone is brittle and always shipped in from overseas so rough handling could happen anywhere.
Popcultcha Russian Roulette
What kind of company will send you a damaged products, knowing it was damaged, and hide behind the manufacturer none replacement policy (so they claim)? You guessed it. Popcultcha.
They offered me a none relevant store coupon worth 20% of the original cost, excluding the shipping cost or offered I return it for a full refund as long as I pay the international shipping cost myself. Again!
Another customer who also ordered the same products from them had the same issue and was told by Popcultcha that the entire shipment was defective and yet they had no problem being so dishonest with their customers and shipping those items as is.
Disgusting!!!
Recieved a faulty squishmallow
Recieved a faulty squishmallow (hair of Leonard the lion was falling apart). Exchange was refused due to all of their existing products are deemed "faulty". Will never buy from them again. Shame to lose businesses and reputation!
The box is not the collectable
I have purchased from Popcultcha for years and always been very happy with them as they were collectors for collectors and humans not robots. They are sometimes slow in shipping items out, but I would always get them and they would arrive in great condition within decent thick walled packaging, I thought they were that good that I would recommend them to people. Alas, no longer.
I ordered some Funko pops and most were fine except one - the bottom of the box was so damaged, not just creased, but ripped on both sides and only suitable for displaying loose, which is not suitable for me as the series I collect, are collected MIB.
I contacted customer service and was surprised with the response from them. Initially they said they would look if they have any spare boxes they could send, then when they didn't, for the $50AUD Funko they initially gave me a $5AUD refund voucher which increased to $10AUD on email 2 and said that as the "collectable" inside the package was not damaged there was nothing else they would do about it. After replying that the collectable is the box and the items inside, they replied with no it is not, the item in the box is the collectable the box is to protect the collectable - and if I didn't like that answer I could return it at my own cost for a refund. I mentioned the Popcultcha Standard that is on their website, but those days are gone!
So to everyone that is new to Popcultcha or that have purchased from them for years, please be aware that they do not place any value on the packaging of the items you are purchasing and only the collectable(s) inside. I would still order from them if I thought the items will be shipped ok, but just the cheaper Funkos and definitely not any expensive ones.
I genuinely hope the founders of Popcultcha do not have anything to do with the company anymore, because with Stu in customer service and the company policy of the box is not the collectable so damage does not matter, any good reputation they have built over 30 years will soon start to erode.
Good luck to everyone on their Funko hunting.
Products received in dirty/damaged…
Products received in dirty/damaged state. Other items listed as in stock obviously weren’t as they did not ship. Customer service was rude and disrespectful. Avoid unless you enjoy wasting your time and energy on attempting to get a refund. Which you most certainly will not receive.
In addition, I am very shocked by the aggressive positive reviews on this site and others that seem to put Popcultcha on a pedestal. These reviewers either work for the company or were provided with incentive for leaving such untrustworthy comments. It is because of those comments that I made the mistake of dealing with this company and getting taken for my hard-earned money.
Before you decide to deal with any company online, read ALL the reviews. Don’t just look at the stars. Read the negative ones carefully to see what went wrong and how the company responded. Also read the positive ones and question the content. Tourists entering the shop and being amazed by how incredible it was - but not mentioning any purchase being made - sounds highly suspicious. If you think about it, someone who goes out of their way to leave such a comment as a ‘tourist’ does not make much sense. It is these kinds of comments, or the aggressive ones calling the people who have had bad experiences with the company ‘liars,’ that are obviously fake reviews.
Used Popcultcha for almost 6 years!
Wow, surprised by all the negative reviews! I've been using Popcultcha since 2018 to order funko pops and never had any issues with the company. One order was missing but I contacted them via social media as I live in the UK and they quickly resolved it. Pops arrive quickly despite living across the world and are always packaged well. Great company to use for convention exclusives that we don't get in the UK.
I can only tell you how happy I have been!
I am about to place an order from the UK for a couple of hundred dollars. It will be roughly my 15th I think...and no issues. Some Pops are delayed due to Funko not Popcultha. Always arrives securely and without damage. I have used awful companies in the past and stuck with Popcultha even living in the UK. Everyone can have a bad review, but I can't leave one for great service and continued fulfilment of orders in a timely manner.
Scam. Do not buy from popcultcha
Scam.
Product arrived with missing part. The staff said they never mentioned such part was included. The part was included and shown in the official video of the manufacturer. Sent me a returned product and denied part missing. Asked me to pay my own postage to return. Dirty trick of selling and hope customers to keep defect products with high return postage fee. Report to ACCC.
Terrible
Terrible. Such slow delivery and all my pops were damaged. I tried to give them a 2nd chance and they let me down again.
Rubbish
Rubbish
I bought whole load of pops from these clowns - they put them in a box not even double boxed, no protection or any bubble wrap - unbelievable incompetent people it’s travelling half way across the world and they couldn’t be bothered to protect items- half of them came damaged.
Now the BS will start trying to sort the issue out. How hard is it to put protection on around the pop’s.
disgusting company of Nazis.
disgusting company of Nazis.
Made 2 orders on 27/4/24
one of them i got on 30/5/24
the other one is still missing as of today:
23/6/24
Also made 2 orders on 23/5/24 and both packages here.
When trying to contact customer support, i always get disgusting treatment and tons of bullsh1t.
They keep saying: it just delayed due to logistical issues resulting from the volatile military situation in the region.
So one package from 27/4/24 here
2 packages from 24/5/24 here... and my 2nd package from 27/4/24 went to fight in Gaza...
Ordered from them mystery horror box and got 2 duplicate funkos - i contacted customer support and all they said was "oops"
Terrible company
Terrible company - send out damaged boxes and think it’s okay as the pop is okay. They say the box does not add to the value. Joke of a company never ordering again.
