Our boiler stopped working, and we discovered that before the insurers would fix it, we needed to have our radiators flushed! Having not known previously that this was even something that needs doing, I set about contacting companies who do this sort of job - little did I know that there was quite a demand for this service! Barry was the fourth one I contacted and was available to come sooner than the others I had tried. He arrived promptly on the morning of the job, was friendly and professional, quite a character! He explained what he was doing each step of the way, and showed how easy it is for some people to rip you off, making you think the radiators are clean, where that was only part of the job, and there was so much more to it. My husband, children and I were fascinated by the process as well! He even gave us a spare old pump for our boiler so we can have hot water in the meantime, which is so helpful as we are still waiting for the insurers to approve the boiler and radiator repairs! Would definitely recommend Powerflush Know-It-All anytime 💫

Following a quote from other plumbers, who advised we needed just about everything replacing, we contacted Powerflush for a second opinion (and quote). As this quote was a third of the cost of the other, we decided to proceed with them.
Barry arrived promptly at 8 a.m. on the appointed day, flushed the system and advised on other works needing to be carried out to the boiler and also advised us how to proceed with getting these works done.
Barry is incredibly knowledgable and seems completely trustworthy. I just wish we could get him to do all of our plumbing jobs as I know we would get a) a good price and b) a good standard of work.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company should you be looking for a powerflush job.

Barry arrived exactly when he said he would -to the minute. He was friendly, polite and really knowledgeable. He has 40 years' experience and is a qualified heating engineer and so he has a great deal of expertise. Whilst he was with us, he found that three of our radiator valves were faulty. It made sense- we had always struggled to heat one of the rooms. He repaired these for no extra cost. We sought three quotes and his was cheaper by £50 and £100.

Love this guy salt of the Earth. These are the type of guys I get to do jobs. Pride in what they do.

Barry has done a fantastic job. We have had nothing but problems with our heating system for months, but I'm now sat in a very warm home with running hot water!

Barry was thorough, making sure every radiator was flushed. He explained the process and offered advice to make the most of the system (and make savings on our heating bill).

Things to note - it takes a while to do. For a proper power flush, it isn't going to be done in a couple of hours. As I hadn't a clue of the way it was done, I was surprised by how long it took and how thoroughly Barry did the work.

Also, be aware that you will have an increase in your water bill. It might seem obvious, but just be aware that water has to be used to flush the system and then refill it.

Phoned on the Saturday and was able to get an appointment for Tuesday. Engineer turned up on time and worked hard for several hours clearing our system. There were two radiators that needed replacement thermostatic valves which he showed to me, but all the rest were piping hot before he left. Was very respectful of space and property. Would happily recommend.

Brilliant!!!! Absolutely fantastic service and experience. I rang powerflushknowitall for a quote, after previously had 3 other quotes from similar companies. The guy on the phone (I believe his name was Barry) was very helpful and answered all of my questions I had. The quote was similar to the others I had, within a few pounds but I decided to go with these guys as they seemed to know the trade inside out and that gave me a lot of confidence in them.
The engineer turned up 15 minutes ahead of time but considerately did not knock my door until dead on 8am. The first thing he did when he came in was take off his shoes and change into his slippers, which I found so respectful. He put dust sheets down everywhere and was here the whole day, meticulously ensuring everything was perfect. He was polite, cheerful and very knowledgeable. He even tolerated my 4 year old Son standing over him asking him which paw patrol character was his favourite!! Lol He cleared up after himself and my house was as clean as it was before he came (minus all the toys my son had dragged out to show him!!) He asked me to check the radiators before he left and they were super hot, I didn’t realise radiators could actually produce so much heat!! Before he had flushed them, they were like warm at best and had lots of cold spots. I was given the invoice and told to pay if I was happy with the work and I wasn’t pressured at all. I paid by bacs transfer and am very, very happy with my powerflush.
I read the negative reviews on here but I can not think of one negative thing to say. My experience with this company was brilliant and my house is now so warm I’m turning the thermostat down constantly whereas I was always turning it up before I had this done! I am really impressed and powerflushknowitall is a company I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. If you’re thinking of having a powerflush done, please call powerflushknowitall, you won’t regret it.

I was told by an engineer that I required a Powerflush. I asked the engineer if there company done power flushing and he said no but to search on the internet. I have to say this was a frightening experience. I had many quotes that varied from as little as £175 to £980. I then started calling these companies to find out how the process worked. I found that some of the information was suspect until I found powerflushknowitall. When I phoned them the engineer went all through the process answered all my questions that I asked and gave me information that I had not thought of. I decided to book with them. They informed me that they would be with at 8.00am in the morning. They arrived dead on time perfect.

I was pleasantly surprised that when the engineer arrived he had his own slippers and put them on before entering. He asked me various questions about the system and where the pump was. He laid out dust sheets in the areas he was working and set the equipment outside. He spent the day cleaning the system going from room to room until it was complete late afternoon. When he had finished the powerflush he asked me to check all the radiators to make sure they where all has hot as I expected.

I was amazed how hot all the radiators where. In the 12 years I have lived here the radiators had never been this hot. He also gave me a number of tips on how to look after my central heating system and how to keep the cost down. To date I am pounds better off. The engineer then removed all his equipment. At the end of it I did not know other than how Hot it was how tidy he’d left it.

I was then presented with an invoice which he went through with me I paid by bank transfer.

I have to say it was one of the best experiences I have had with any company that has come to my home in all the time I have been here. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anybody. I have to say I have read some of the reviews of this company and do not recognise any of what has been written about them in my experience.

Was having problems with the heating and radiators only half hot, got recommended by a friend Barry, talked me through everything on the phone and booked him for the next week, Barry worked around the school run and left him to it, spot on service, the man seemed to have a love for the work and now my kids are moaning the radiators are to hot, would highly recommend was left in our house alone most of the day and will use in the future

Initially positive - a good presales conversation and advice; a higher price than a number of others, but Barry explained benefits of service including a gaurantee offered so we decided to go with his firm. Arrived on time and punctual and flushed through and we believed all ok.
However, 2 radiators proved to still be an issue after the event - one really cold in the children's playroom so asked the company to come back under gaurantee and since then has been a couple of months of asking - emails, phone calls etc, but no reply.

Very disappointing and would not recommend them - either pay the extra for British Gas who do fully gaurantee their work, or shop around for others and take the saving which as least helps if you need to get re-done again

Update 26/04: seen the reply from Powerflush and just to clarify that the original job was on 5th October, and we contacted the firm for help c 3 months later on 17th Jan, 24th Jan, 6th Feb and 5th March by email in addition to 3 phonecalls in Jan/Feb time as well - only the first of which was answered with the "we'll pop round when in your area". Not sure how long we are meant to wait for that - hence the continual chases without reply.

Yes we paid - we were told we had to do a bank transfer same day whilst the company was here and almost stood over us
Signing off the work - yes we did that on the day - however, it isnt possible to know if the flush has worked instantly - especially as weather was mild at the time, hence us flagging the problem post Christmas during the colder snap.
Guarantee - the "offer" to revisit at close to a 2nd payment close to 100% of the orginal invoice doesnt sound like much of a gaurantee - sounds like charging twice
