Scammers! They have now changed their name to UK Service Plan and are requesting upfront payment for a new 3-year appliance-insurance policy when the old one was supposed to be valid until 2023.

Absolute con

Absolute con. Convinced my elderly, vulnerable mother that her house insurance had expired and that she must renew immediately. She parted with £400 to these thieving, disgusting people. Absolutely appalling. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.

Inside info from ex employee

Not to point out the obvious but this company is a scam. They jump through hoops to get your credit card details by saying "We already have these details, we're just reconfirming them" when in actuality they have nada. They cold call and abuse these old people into giving in and yelling at them if need be. Anything to get that sale. They keep saying they're located in Brighton when they're either calling from the Egypt branch or the Morocco one. and to top it off, half of this company are sexual abusers. and the management turns a blind eye.
and seeing that they go on this website and laugh at the reviews; here's your well deserved 5 star review jerks. hope this company shuts down and you go homeless❤

Apparently yet another organisation out there mis-selling to vulnerable folk. I am 24/7 on this case but these "soft" companies are out there day in day out. Beware. Of course they are not defrauding but they are mis-selling to people who do not need nor require nor can they afford these "services". Avoid.

Bullying, cold calling company to vulnerable people…

This company uses cold calling bullying tactics. Repeated aggressive telephone calls to my mentally vulnerable brother. Persuaded him it was essential that he had to pay £495 for something he didn't need and that he would be in trouble if he did not purchase.
Scam. Reported to National Action Fraud Bureau.
AVOID AT ALL COST.

Premier Protect scam

I would suggest that you allow the person writing the review to select '0' stars, as this company deserves no more than that rating.
In my opinion Premier Protect (PP) has broken the law twice.
Firstly - fraud, in purporting to be Domestic + General (D+G) when offering their contract to replace the existing D+G one, and secondly - libel, when purporting to be D+G on their Website.
My one-off annual contract for £154 with PP was to cover my dishwasher and washing machine, and supposed to be a replacement for my monthly D+G arrangement.
I discovered the scam, when after receiving the PP contract, I was billed the usual monthly payment by D+G.
I have written to PP to cancel the contract under it's cancellation terms - I do not expect them to respond, and will be completing a form for John Lewis Finance to request a refund to my credit card. They have asked me to send them all the background information including a copy of the contract.
Yours sincerely R.I.Bottomley.

Disgusting morally corrupt company.

This company have conned my vulnerable sister in law out of almost £300 pretending to be her insurance company, even though she has monthly direct debits for her cover with other companies. Tried calling them but they insisted the customer would have to call them and they have recordings of their dealings with their customers. I bet the recordings of any disputed ones will disappear. Now in the hands of RBS Fraud team.

Sorting out my parents house after they…

Sorting out my parents house after they moved into care discovered this policy with Premier Protect 365. It was a cold call to my mother, aged 92, took £300 one off payment, for a three year policy even though all of my parents appliances were already covered by another company to whom they paid on a direct debit basis. The service plan terms and conditions state there is a cancellation fee and no return, pro rata , of any premium if the policy is cancelled ! This is a heartless, brutal scam. I called the office number and eventually talked to someone who seemed to have littleif any knowledge of what the company offered.... stay well clear of this company .

Cold call

Cold call, Scammers, telling me they were part of Domestic and General, and my details had been passed on by D&G to them, had to ask about 10times before she finally admitted they weren't part of D&G when I asked for their web address

Insurance scammers

Tried to claim to renew my dads white goods insurance claiming to be domestic and general. Wanted card details and a full years payment of over £1000 upfront. Rang after bank hours so difficult to ring the bank as most older people don't have online banking so avoid these scamners as they seem to prey on the elderly. Cancel cards if you gave details and was an Indian who rang from a Brighton number code.

Scam

Scam - They cold called my elderly mum and told her she needed to ‘renew’ kitchen appliance cover and conned her into giving card details and tried to take money. We have now blocked the phone number and have reported to Trading Standards as they seem to be targeting the elderly - unacceptable behaviour - they should be held accountable. Don’t be taken in, don’t give any details, just hang up.

Taken in......

They phoned me a few days ago claiming that they knew that washing machine insurance had expired. They claimed that insurance would be re-instated if I paid £185 for 3 years. I assumed that they were the same company I had insurance with. Foolishly I gave debit card number etc. I must have been half asleep to have been taken in. I am elderly, but thought I would never be taken in by scams. I advise everyone not to give card details to anyone over the phone.

Do NOT do business with this company

This company cold called my elderly father last week and tricked him into thinking he was renewing an existing insurance policy for my parents' washing machine - said policy is held with an entirely different company, and renews automatically. The caller lied to him and my mother twice about who was calling. This company is a scam and is out to capitalise on people's confusion about things like insurance in order to defraud them.
