Excellent experience from start to finish. The crew were fantastic, got over many hurdles with a great can-do attitude and were a pleasure to work with. What should have been a stressful moving day was made pleasant by relying on this team. I would thoroughly recommend Pretloves to anyone looking to move house .

Great service from the start !!! Firstly the Jack Pretlove who guided us through the process , the lovely lance who came to advise on packing and what we would need to the smooth and efficient removal men themselves
They arrived at 9am on the dot as arranged and were safely packed and ready to go at 12 (3 bedroom house with lots of garden furniture
Everything was taken into new house and furniture rebuilt by 3pm
Couldn’t have asked for a smoother move

My advice is to avoid this company.
Used them to move from Harlow to Frinton, including storage, while we waited for completion of our house purchase. Collection of our stuff for storage was fine. Delivery was when things went wrong. Phone call from driver saying they were delayed as the forklift hadn't been charged up so they couldn’t load the containers! Two hours later they turned up.
My main complaint is due to the items damaged or broken. A standard lamp had the solid base broken, two plastic garden storage chests had cracks in the lids, a large terracotta strawberry pot was broken in two, and a concrete buddha was missing its head. We found the head in another flower pot. The attitude of the men was to say the least disappointing. Apparently the standard lamp was ok when it was brought in! The only reason it looked ok was because it was leaning against a sofa. Their reaction to the garden items was ‘we aren’t responsible for damage to outside items as they could have been affected by frost’. I soon discovered, when I reported the damage, that this was the company line, they probably have training courses on it.
In two emails I have asked Anne Pretlove to tell me where this exception was in their Terms and Conditions and pointed out that the T and Cs state that they take responsibility for goods from collection to delivery without any exceptions. She has not given me any answer to my question!
Their website states that everything is stored in secure warehouses, oh no it isn’t. We had some scaffold boards used for garage shelving which, when delivered, were wet, mouldy and smelly in places. Surprisingly, Anne Pretlove admitted in writing that they were stored outside.
And finally, to add insult to injury, they are still sending us invoices for storage totalling £670 this month and last month.
I repeat my opening statement, avoid this company.

We moved house on Monday 16th January 2023 the removal team arrived at the time given, the crew were excellent in handling our furniture, the vehicle was packed were everything was secure and safe. On arrival at our new destination, again the crew were excellent in unloading our furniture and placing it where we wanted it. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to our friends and family

We needed to put some items into storage. The company have always been helpful when I rang and we received emails explaining prices etc. On the day a huge lorry arrived at the house and the items were loaded straight into wooden containers and sealed. The 2 gentleman who came (I'm sorry but can't remember their names!) were helpful, friendly and very polite. They wouldn't let us lift anything! They were very professional in their approach. The job was soon done.

Pretloves moved me again last week, Brilliant team in the office & the removal guys also, thankyou Paul, Brian & Shane.

These people come to move someone on my road, its a private single road and blocked it, when asked if they could move a bit so a car could get round they argued this, saying he apparently knocked on the door and looked through the window to say what the child under 2 was watching on TV! I have dogs and I was in the kitchen and didn't hear a knock or a bark! I'm discussed that they feel they can look through windows! After waiting around they eventually moved but couldn't get past to come home so abandoned the car and carried my child home. After how rude they was I wouldn't recommend them at all!

Absolutely awful company and disgusting attitude. After paying an eye watering £500 deposit and booked a tentative date, we had to move the date back with no fault of our own and informed Pret love so they could open the dates up as we were informed twice they had LOADS of business and can fill those dates easily and wanted to make sure they could do so!! They then wanted a definite confirmation of the new date......who can give definite dates when moving until contracts exchanged...GET REAL! They then said we would have to pay another £500 deposit even though we are not cancelling we still wanted to use them and pay for their services. Apparently according to the way he spoke to my mum he has a business to run and we do not know how a business is run...ARROGANT! DO NOT USE, moving is a stressful time for everyone and this so called friendly family business just take your money in greed and are not helpful or understanding! I will be informing everyone I know to never use this company - thanks for nothing! They have also posted a response to this saying there was no pressure from them to pay the deposit, they called my parents daily sometimes twice to say they have people who want that date and on two different occasions Pretlove said they can fill this slot 5 times over. He also called my mum "love" when belittling her and they told my mum she would have to pay a further deposit to rebook a new day totalling £1000. This is an accurate account, I was there and heard the call and was also there when they kept calling my parents for updates. They can't even apologize for the way they spoke to my mum just try to discredit this review.

Adrian Pretlove was extremely pleasant when he gave us our quote. The professional service continued when two large vehicles arrived with six men. They were prompt, well prepared, cheerful and nothing was too much bother. We were concerned as we have moved to a period property in Felsted with very awkward stairs to the third floor. The Pretlove team took everything in their stride and all on the hottest day of the year Monday 18th July when it hit 40 degrees. We cannot thank them enough for making what could have been a stressful time very smooth.

Our removal guys have just left and we wanted to write a review to say how wonderful they were. From loading in 37 ° heat to unloading the following day after a long drive to Devon, they worked hard and were very careful with our belongings. What most impressed us was their "nothing too much trouble" attitude , they were cheerful, polite and professional throughout and made the whole experience much easier.
A massive thank you to Ash, Buzz and Charlie O, you were brilliant !

The team were friendly efficient and helpful from start to finish, cannot fault them, and would certainly recommended.

Damage to multiple items after removal & storage, some of which cannot be replaced or fixed. They have Insurance but wont cover for replacements, it has a pairs & setts clause that only considers damage in isolation, Damage to £3000 dining table / bench equated to a mere £200 credit and be expected for them to suggest that you claim or use your own warranty on damage they have caused.
A couple of great hard working lads on the team but overshadowed by the smash and wedge mentality of others.
We made sure that all decorative work, bikes, TV & Video equipment and anything that could have been easily damaged was moved by us independently but my advice is use another firm.

Excellent service all round. Start to finish.Professional, competent and solution based.They were courteous and helpful from start to finish. My first time since my late wife used to deal with such practical matters!

Pretloves moved us from Saffron Walden to our new home in Keighley, West Yorkshire. From the initial quote to delivering our household contents to our new address in Yorkshire, the whole process was smooth, efficient and hassle free.

The day before our move Pretlove's staff packed our china and glass, and loaded most of our belongings onto the lorry. They returned the following morning to finish loading and within no time at all were on the road. We set off soon afterwards, and within half an hour of arriving at our new home, the Pretloves lorry was pulling up outside.

Most of our belongings were unloaded that afternoon, with the guys returning the following morning to offload the remainder before they returned south.

We cannot fault Pretloves and their team - hard workers, respectful towards our home and belongings, polite and friendly. In fact everything that you want from a removal company. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Pretloves moved us from Epping to Saffron Walden and provided an excellent service throughout. Always friendly, courteous and happy to help. Would definitely recommend.

All of the team were outstanding in making the move as smooth and stress-free as possible! Huge thanks for the assist on day 1 packing up, followed by the best team I could have asked for, for move on days 2 & 3!! The Haverhill branch of Pretloves have just moved me from Suffolk to London. The office staff are friendly and very helpful especially in these very difficult times in the midst of a pandemic. I can’t speak highly enough of the crew of three men. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My furniture was a little oversized for the smaller property I was moving into. They managed to house everything so actually I was very comfortable from the outset. Thank you very much. I have no hesitation in recommending this removal company.
