MAJOR DISCRIMINATION AT East Croydon

I visited the store in East Croydon at around 14:30 and approached the counter where a young man was and asked if this was the disability access counter, which he responded yes. To my disgust he then proceeded to ask me to prove my disability. I find this insulting as how do you prove this and have never been asked this before. I stated my disappointment in the request and challenged it and Alejandro gave a poor excuse and said "that customers previously have shouted at me for serving disabled customers at the counter first". The same counter provided for us by YOU the company. Is he OK in the head with that response!!

I advised him that he should not be asking anyone to prove their
disability as it is discrimination and offensive especially if someone has a life long illness. I want compensation as I feel victimised by his poor approach which upset me highly. He has no customer service and having to disclose my disability while at work is embarrassing. He didn't even give my receipt for my purchased in my hand or ask if i wanted a bag nor did he apologise for his insensitive unprofessional questioning.

Someone needs to pick up my complaint ASAP!

Quality control please!

I thought it would be heard better here than contacting customer service which I imagine would be as useless as when I've spoken to in-store managers.

Firstly, I do like Primark. Many of us have become Primark shoppers in one way or another. For years I have bought bits there quite happily. I am writing this review to let Primark know that they need to do some quality investigations as I have noticed products have deteriorated in quality. The dye does not seem to be fixed on all products.

Examples are:
-The black eye mask currently on sale left trails of black dye across multiple bed sheets. As they were in hotels, I have no idea if they were able to remove it but I had to apologise to a couple of hotels and offer payment after realising it was the mask. Needless to say I threw the mask away immediately.
-The 5 packs of black socks that I've been getting for over 10 years now seem to dye my feet black.
-Black flips flops also dyed my feet black.

Surely this is a health and safety issue? Please check the quality controls as something is going wrong here.

Lastly, I have noticed that in a huge Primark store with 90% female staff they often put the 10% male staff on the female underwear section. Why? When I challenged the manager about this he said he couldn't discriminate between the genders. This is ridiculous. What woman wants to talk to a teenage boy about their underwear?!
Every other section had female employees so this is just woke nonsense. If he wasn't discriminating he'd put a female there! You will lose sales any time there is a male in the female underwear section. And, I'm no prude.

Unfair treatment

My wife bought me a number of items for my birthday / holiday. Unfortunately they did not fit me. She returned to the store she bought them from, in GRIMSBY, but because she didn't have the receipt they refused to exchange.
She was able to show the purchase price and date on a bank statement but still no co-operation. We did'nt want a refund, we wanted a direct swap for the next size up !
That is one way to lose a customer, and reputation, when the cure would not have cost the store a penny !

To dated and basic now

Used to love bits from primark but these days i find it very dated and material is awful everythings creased don't know how anyone buys anything from here now. Used to buy some lovely blazers, skirts and bikinis but everything seems like its only good for one wear now. I Found a lovely snake crooped cardy in my wardrobe other day which i had when i was 28 im now 48 and its still washes nice after 20 years. Visited West Bromwich store today.

Disgusting service!!

Disgusting service!!! My penis got stuck In the escalator. It got trapped and ot got chopped off. All I got was a 15% off voucher. Would give 6 stars if possible.

Worst online ordering company!

Wouldn’t use again! Received the complete wrong order but they’ve refused to refund….I’ve received and email from Customer Service saying ‘Sorry you’ve had an issue with your click and collect order but the warehouse have said there isn’t an issue with the order’

Why large horrible labels rather than print

I like Primark clothing. My favourite product was their really comfortable men's basic tee shirts. Then some retard at Primark made the decision to make them unwearable by putting in a large itchy label in the neckline. Before the information was printed. There is no sense to doing this it's more expensive and make the product horrible. Review would have been 5 stars.

The new Gel Effect Polish

The new Gel Effect Polish is so sheer you can barely see the colour which in this case is Light Blue. Even 3 layers is not great!

They had something before which seems to have been discontinued, it was also gel effect, possibly duck shell shade. They need to bring the previous product back in stock *pleading* 🥺

Customer relations atrocious!!!!

My daughter bought a pair of jammie’s for her mum the day before Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day, she gave them to her, without trying them on her mum said they were too big. So drove to Irvine to exchange. They categorically wouldn’t do it as my lass had mislaid her receipt. Paid with a debit card the day before. Refused to do exchange it that way. Shocking! I actually lost it by the sheer intransigence. That’s surely a discretionary thing? My lassie is a student, so has very little money. This can’t be legal surely . They clearly hadn’t been touched/ soiled as still labels attached! Terrible customer relations! Never again will set foot in there after all the business they’ve had !!!

So unhelpful. had a problem exchanging items. Head office advised how to go about it.
I did this and the shop refused to exchange. Unhelpful, unfriendly.

Self service tills!!

Self service tills!!! Primark now have the dreaded self service tills and someone in there now has decided to only have two tills open where a queue is forming ..self service more or less empty..and the staff memberr thst has drawn the short straw had to stand about by the SST.. twiddling their thumbs!!!! I haven't got a contract with primark so they shouldn't expect me to use them ???? Also while im at it ..put the correct size clothing on the correct size hangers!!!!!!

Primark is a pretty store but the tore layout is quite confusing as when i went i found it difficult to find some products as there was no signs to help me locate their products and the place was quite cramped.

Awful customer service

Unfortunately I lost a shopping receipt. I juat wanted to trade size of an item, it was returned in sellable condition with the original tags. Staff were dismissive and not open to an agreement. I wasn't requesting any money out of the business just a material trade of size. There was also no form of customer care via their online chat portal. This negative experience means that myself and my family will be taking our business to online retailers of offer a similar service. It is very disappointing when you try to support the highstreet and do not get treated fairly as other retailers would.

Ian deserves the next bonus he is a credit to Primark!

Today I was served by Ian (25/02/26) and I want to say how outstanding his customer care is- an absolute joy to shop here and be met with staff members such as Ian... he is so friendly and well mannered as well as being funny and careful to check he had taken each of the items from my basket - folded each beautifully and thought to offer me a gift receipt after he heard me mention a set I was purchasing was for a friend's birthday - he explained the terms and conditions perfectly and was all round a joy to interact with- the store was tidy and well organised - a great temperature and with ideal background sounds- thank you so much Ian you megastar :)

Wrong size on hangers.. always double checked before paying

Bought a lovely pair of trousers from my local primark. Unfortunately when I came to wear it I noticed that it had been put on the wrong hanger and it was actually a size 34 which I think is a 6/8 rather than a 12. So disappointed- went back a few days later al be it I’d lost my receipt but had my card receipt. I only wanted to exchange it but they refused to exchange it. It’s a primark own brand so not sure what the issue is especially as it wasn’t my fault. Should have checked the hanger and double checked the actual label but as it was their fault not sure why they wouldn’t exchange. That’s a waste of £16.

AVOID!

AVOID!! THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY DONT GIVE YOU A REFUND!! CLICK AND COLLECT IS AWFUL AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NONE EXISTENT. They have got expensive aswel shop elsewhere!!!!
