I ordered a skin care set on 6th December, which was a Christmas present for my daughter. Today (2nd Jan 2019) I’ve received a 90 day set, for which they will charge me almost £100. This I DID NOT order. I’m awaiting a response to the email I sent to them not I won’t hold my breath, having read all the other reviews. How can these absolute sharks continue to operate like this? 😡

I ordered a trial pack and just realised that they set up a payment and have already taken three payments for subscription, I did not agree to.
Plus the product does not work

I ordered a 30 supply of Proativ+ for my daughter for her birthday. A month laterreceived another 90 day supply much to my surprise. Checked my bank account and money had beenbtsken by them. I checked my account online with them and nowhere dies it state it's a subscription. On checking the terms and conditions (which I must admit I don't usually read properly) it states that I enter into a 3 month subscription automatically when I place my first order. I tried to call the customer service number only to be asked to leave message. I would advuse people NOT to use the website and find alternative products!

Dishonest practices. They subscribe you (bought an £18 kit and they will try to take £76 for a 60 day kit). It doesn’t show as a subscription on order confirmation or on account. If you ask them questions about it they are evasive, it took a lot of persistence to find out how much money they will take.

Cannot cancel online or via email- only on the phone (if you can get through you will be on hold for nearly an hour) which means no confirmation or proof of cancellation- therefore they outright lie and don’t cancel the order or subscription.

I’ve had to cancel my card, start a dispute with my bank, consult citizens advice and report to trading standards. Not to forget the times I’ve had to call proactiv. It’s just been a terrible experience and still is unresolved.

Absolutely shocking company! Kept taking money from my account even after I had cancelled there '90 day membership' subscription which I was unware I'd signed up for. I had to complain to my credit card company who refunded me and cancelled any future payments. You have been warned!

I made a one off purchase from this company and they have now started taking monthly payments that I have not agreed to. I have contacted the Credit Card as the Proactiv do not reply to any of my emiails.
I have since looked into Proactiv and this seems to be the way they conduct their business. So many other customers have experienced exactly the same as I have.
PLEASE, PLEASE AVOID PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM PROACTIV

It's a con to get you into a subscription you don't realise you are signing up to. It.saos nothing on my account about a subscription or further deliveries yet they too 29.94 out of my account and then sent me products i don't want. I now have to pay to send them back before I can get my money back that I didn't want them to take in the first place. Avoid this company!

Totally misleading company. As with other reviewers I purchased one set of products then noticed a second payment taken from my account without consent when I contacted them I was told I had entered into a subscription which I was totally unaware of, second payment was taken before goods were received and told i have to return the goods I did not order before I can get my own money back. Shocking that they are allowed to get away with this!

If I could give zero stars I would. The products made my daughters skin very dry and sore.
I had no intention of ordering any more only to find they had signed me up for a subscription I did not agree to.
After speaking to a very rude and smug customer service I got my bank and trading standards involved.
This company is nothing more than a scam praying on desperate people looking for help with their skin and then they steal from you and laugh at you, thinking you will be bullied into a subscription. The sooner they are closed down the better. AVOID AVOID AVOID

AVOID- WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER RECEIVED - placed order Sept 2018, order was wrong & service was shocking so cancelled my plan. Cut to Dec 2018 - Proactive take £29.97 from my bank without any further order or authorisation - this is THEFT! Them because they’ve dispatched goods I never ordered, they REFUSE REFUND until their goods are returned - APPALLING. By the way - I have CANCER !!!!!

I assume this company does not want to be in the UK for the long term - just look at this string of bad reviews. They purposely mislead customers who have not agreed to a subscription model, they thought they were buying a product at a price and that is the end of it. But no, they will send you a further 90 days without asking you. It does not show up on your Proactive Online account (one assumes they are trying to hide it) and there is no way of cancelling except by phone and that appears hit and miss. I would suggest avoiding this company at all costs - a subscription model is not bad just tell your customers and allow them to cancel easily. As a customer you are not even aware that you are entering a subscription.

SCAM BEWARE!!! Order 30 day box, one month later received 90 day box that i didnt order, money taken out of my bank without permission, also half content of marking pads missing, never buy from them again. Plus remember if u buy from them, even once. Your automatically signing up for a subscription that you didn't ask for or want. Unless you report them to trading standards, they will continue doing this to everyone

Do NOT USE . SCAM subscription service. Ordered this product for my daughter thinking I was buying a single purchase product . my daughter tested the product, which she had a significant reaction too, burning her face, the following month she received another set of product, and over £30 had been taken from my account. I then realised this was a subscription. I followed their instruction to call them to cancel the product (it takes well over 45 mins to get through) . Spoke with a very polite man that said the subscription would be cancelled and to send back all product to receive a full refund. I did this , however now over a month later have not received a refund and they have continued to remove money from my account. I have had to call my bank to block the continuous payment and instruct the bank to enter a dispute with them. Unless you are absolutely certain these products work for you, and happy to have more than £30 taken from your account every month. DO NOT USE

Their products / website are extremely misleading, the "30 day kit" is in fact a subscription in which they then send you a massive 90 day parcel a month later. No indication that they're going to send you another package, until it arrives and you have to either pay the cost for it to be sent back (which isn't cheap given the weight of it) or keep it and be charged for the next 3 months - if you cancel, they still charge you for 3 months as they've sent you a 90 day kit. Pretty deceptive in my opinion - there are lots of subscription companies nowadays, most (except Proactiv) make it simple for you to cancel and send you an email before despatch. It's absolutely ridiculous that being an online company, you have to call them by phone or email them to ask to cancel, there's nowhere to do it on your account (and it doesn't even make it clear that you're going to be sent subscription deliveries on your account). Highly advised to avoid.

This is the WORST company ever. Everything the people here have written is true. They duped me into a subscription I did not request. They continued to charge me and when I complained they said I have to return the package myself at my own cost!! The customer service team are rude and hang up on me.

PLEASE everyone report them to trading standards. They are deceiving vulnerable people with skin issues when all we want is a product that work. Absolutely vile.

They set you up on a monthly direct debit without you knowing and then keep taking money off you!
when i called after the second direct they said they will cancel but again they took a 3rd direct debit!!!!! AGAIN
Also! their products DO NOT work they make your skin even WORSE!!!!

Just had a money off voucher for one of their skin kits in my prettylittlething.com package. Upon checking it, it says the usually price is £44.99 but on their website the only £44.99 kit is a 'one-off' kit but the one they're supposedly giving you money off is not a 'one-off' kit, it is a subscription, which costs £24.99for the first month and £19.99 per month thereafter.

So not only are they lying about how much discount you're getting but they're also tricking you into a subscription.

This company needs to be reported to Trading Standards.

I am completely disgusted with the Proactiv company and service. I ordered online, after 1 months use found it had made no improvement to my skin it was if anything worse than normal!
Without my knowledge I was signed up to a monthly rolling subscription -29£ taken from my account causing me to go into my overdraft and receive a bank charge!
Then in order to cancel my subscription - rather than do this online I had to phone up - I was on hold for over 30minutes !! I was then told to post my most recent delivery back to them at a cost to myself. 1 month later - I still had no refund and they charged my account again!!
I am furious and outraged that a company are allowed to do this !
I would never order or recommend the company to anyone!!

I have suffered from acne for about 7 years. I spent over £200 on these products as they are ridiculously expensive but I thought it would work so it’ll be worth it. Seemed to help a little at first then stopped working and when I stopped taking the products it made my skin even worse then before. SCAM! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

If I could give it no stars I would!!!!!! Absolute scam, placed an order with these on 25th Sept only to realise I'd had another payment taken out on the 25th Oct!!! At no point had they told me I had enrolled onto their 'membership plan' Absolutely disgraceful, do not order from this company!!!!!!
