Burnt from being Mis-sold
I purchased ProCook Tri-Ply saucepans in Gunwharf Quays store and and made the decision to buy them because I was told that they had cool touch handles.
I burnt my hand lifting a lid because the lids don't have CoolTouch® handles.
I checked online and it states they do have CoolTouch® handles.
I contacted ProCook three days ago and made a complaint of mis-selling and requested an explanation but ProCook have not responded.
I think that's appalling when I got burnt because ProCook fail to state that the lid handles are not CoolTouch® and get hot.
UPDATE: ProCook has now rung me, asked what I cook on and on being told that I cook on a gas range they promptly said that when I purchased the pans I should have been told that cooking on gas causes the CoolTouch handles to become hot.
Unbelievable! It would not have made any difference what reply I had given as that information is not stated on their website so it remains a mis-sell and I will take this matter further.
Perhaps ProCook could explain just how many professional kitchens they have ever seen using electric hobs.
The pans I purchased are unfit for purpose and the ProCook is an unprofessional company. They must and will take responsibility for incorrectly selling expensive saucepans claiming them to have cool touch handles when it is a false statement made to mis-sell products.
