Our son went to Thailand for the diving and marine conservation from Australia and the service which started before the trip until he got home was nothing short of amazing. He was well looked after by the staff, airlines and hotel, with projects abroad making it all seamless. As a parent, projects abroad was amazing and they gave him the experience of a lifetime. Fully recommend,

my daughter (16 y.o.) had a fantastic experience in Kenya, helping to renovate a school classroom in a poor neighbourhood and keeping kids entertained in English in afternoon. She was part of a group of 6, they were all hosted within one big family house. A lifetime experience ! I strongly recommend.

My son had a great experience!
He thoroughly enjoyed the animal interactions and meeting new kids his age with similar interests.
During his time in the Galapagos, he became ill and the PA team did an excellent job taking care of him and keeping us updated at home.

My time working in the Philippines was an incredible experience and a true blessing. Getting to know the families of San Remigio was deeply rewarding, and while the assignment was challenging, I wouldn’t change a single thing about it.
A huge part of my success was thanks to the Projects Abroad Coordinator, Janely. She is an absolute rockstar and an incredible mentor who pushed me out of my comfort zone, helping me achieve so much in such a short time. Additionally, the host family I stayed with has become like my own; I’ve established lifelong friendships that I will always treasure.
Between the rich culture, the warm people, and the delicious Filipino cuisine, I fell in love with the country. Living in Bogo was a major highlight, and having pristine beaches and perfect weather nearby was the cherry on top. I would do this all over again in a heartbeat!

I had previous experience in Mexico with this company so felt confident booking for the Galapagos Islands.
From being collected from the airport to being delivered back for the return flight I couldnt fault the staff or the company. I would however recommend completing all the online courses before leaving as your expectations must be in line with where you are going. Understanding local customs and way of life is vital for your enjoyment.
I have met some amazing people an im still in contact with a few special ones. The volunteering element though sometimes hard work (depending what you've signed up for of course) but there is loads of free time to explore this amazing planet of ours.

This was the first overseas extracurricular activity that my son researched on his own and said he wanted to challenge himself by participating in. At the time, Cambodia was experiencing political instability, so I hesitated to send my son there alone. However, thanks to the support of everyone at your company, he was able to gain valuable experience that will be helpful in considering his future path.
Being able to work in a developing country together with members of different nationalities also deepened his understanding of multicultural coexistence. Since returning home, I truly feel that my son has grown compared to before he joined the project.
Once again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude. Thank you very much.

My 16-year-old daughter had a wonderful and eventful time in Tanzania. She got to see so much, benefited from the rich culture and had the chance to interact daily with peers her own age. She felt well looked after and supported throughout her stay. Even now, a year after her trip, she still speaks very highly of her experience with Project Abroad.

We had an excellent experience with Project Abroad. Communication and coordination of the volunteering programme in Cambodia were outstanding.
The website was very easy to navigate and provided detailed information regarding visas, accommodation, daily agendas, and all the necessary preparations before departure.
This was my daughter’s first time travelling alone. She had an amazing experience working with the children in Cambodia, and we felt completely at ease throughout the programme.
I would highly recommend Project Abroad to families considering an overseas volunteering experience for their children.

My son did the marine conservation tour in Thailand for 2 weeks over July. It was life changing. He has the most incredible experience not only with the diving and conservation work but meeting like-minded young people from all around the world many of whom he is still in contact with. Projects Abroad did an excellent job with the communication and planning of the trip and I felt very comfortable that all the kids were in good hands on the trip. Thank you.

I found projects abroad to be very a professional and trustworthy company. My son had an issue with his luggage and staff were straight onto it and helped him get it all sorted. There was ALWAYS someone with the kids and they made sure they were comfortable. You are always able to contact them should you have any concerns. I was very happy with their services across the board, so much so that my son is travelling with them again this year.

The organization of the project was very good, including the support from the Destination expert from the moment of expressing interest through arrival at the destination and throughout the project implementation. Receiving timely and precise information on all questions before arrival — such as accommodation, weather conditions, and other details — was very important for me.
This strong support was one of the decisive factors in my final decision to apply for the project, but also to organize myself in efficient way, minimizing the risk to overlook something important.
Furthermore, the good organization and support at the destination allowed me to fully participate in project activities without having to worry about logistical matters.
Finally, it was possible to combine scheduled project activities with private activities during free time in a meaningful and well-balanced way.

My son and I took a holiday and volunteered at the Chitwan National Park, Nepal which was a wonderful experience. Projects Abroad were brilliant. Their communication, planning and organising were fantastic, from the start of our inquiry into booking, our arrival at the airport in Nepal, to our departure. Our assigned guides even assisted us with ideas and bookings for our weekends when we were not volunteering. I would highly recommend Projects Abroad if you are looking for a holiday or experience abroad. We look forward to our next experience with Projects Abroad in the future.

My 16-year-old son went to Peru for four weeks with Projects Abroad. I was nervous to let him go but he was taken care of every step of the way. His host family was very kind and helpful and the Projects Abroad staff did an amazing job. He got to serve in the community and experience a lot of fun things too. I would happily recommend Projects Abroad to anyone!
