A really lovely music shop in Liverpool. The staff are friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely care about helping. They’ve also got some absolute special pieces you don’t come across often. It’s got that proper welcoming, musician-run feel to it, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re into exceptional guitars and quality gear.

Spoke online to a wonderful chap who was more than happy to help with valuations of my guitars - he was quick, accurate and so helpful - I couldn't have asked for more. Absolutely superb service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others and look forward to dealing with them again in the future. I have been dealing with this wonderful business for just over a year now, and I'm delighted with the excellent service that Craig (the owner of the business) provides. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He is someone who goes to a great deal of effort to make sure his customers get a first class service. I ordered a Vintage V132 TV Yellow on Tuesday, the guitar arrived today. There was no problems at all with the shipping and the guitar was well packaged in 2 boxes. I thought the price for the guitar was really good and the shipping was free. The guitar plays better than I had expected and I am very happy with the guitar and the service from the company. I purchased a Gretsch Malcolm young signature guitar not only was the communication outstanding they actually went above and beyond and hand delivered it!!!!.... Really great service from Craig at Protone Music. Reached out about a guitar that I wasn’t 100% sure about the condition of. Craig went out of his way to share lots of detailed photos and even did a video of the guitar for me. A couple of days later and the guitar (a lovely hofner) arrived at my workplace (always better than having it left on my driveway to get pinched) and I can only say the guitar is in better condition than Craig said.

Got it home and plugged it in and I am so pleased to have dealt with Protone. What a great guitar.

I’ll be back for more, that’s for sure. If only more guitar stores provided service like this!

The manager Craig has been absolutely excellent in helping me purchase a Gibson guitar for my partner. Craig went above and beyond travelling from his area to where we are in Scotland to deliver the guitar personally, to avoid any delays due to postal strikes and to avoid any damage in transit. Craig has been absolutely excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to make a purchase in this store again. Excellent customer service!
