Protyre Autocare - Chippenham Reviews 

I visited Protyre Chippenham for a recommended check on my two rear tyres. The appointment was easy to arrange at a date and time of my choice. The check was done quickly and efficiently, and they were able to fit two new tyres immediately and at a reasonable price.

Always excellent service from the Chippenham branch

Bought and paid the tyres then booked for the fitting all online = had to wait about 15 mins but everything went according to plan once they got going

All the staff are friendly and always happy to help. Professional service and all done in great time, tyres or Mot areanged arranged using online system and always easy and straight forward. Highly recommended.

Car found MOT asked for a quote for repairs was told near £700 went to a garage down the road was fixed for £40 wouldn’t recommend the Garage very unprofessional

Fantastic team. I had a run of bad luck and they were incredibly helpful in getting me back on the road. Highly recommend.

The cost for the work was very expensive.
The receipt didn't specify the number of hours spent or the hourly rate for labour.

They told me that my tyre could not be repair, so I agreed to change it. I brought the tyre with me & after checking with another company it was an easy repair.

Nice and easy to book, friendly and efficient service.

Quick update 19.Feb:

I spoke with the manager, and we had a good and constructive conversation about what happened.
Appreciate the professional way this was handled and the follow-up support.

On the first attempt, they refused to carry out the MOT, saying that the engine oil level was too low. While no alert from the car.

We agreed to rebook for the next day, and in the meantime I went to buy a bottle of oil. In the end, I found oil, checked the level myself, and it was … fine.

The next day I returned for the MOT, and they were just as surprised as I was that the oil level was normal, even though no one had added anything.

It was a very strange situation. My mistake was not asking them to show me the low oil level immediately and only checking it myself later. As a result, it cost me two MOT appointments, an unnecessary bottle of oil, and a few extra miles driving around trying to find it.

Why when staff are standing around with nothing to do can they not at least engage with a customer who is looking to them for guidance ?
For the second time in a month i have had exactly the same response. All bays were empty and i still couldn't attract anyone's attention from the four fitters stood chatting !
This is the last time i will be giving the benefit of doubt and will be ensuring that every one of my family is recommended to try an alternative tyre depot to Chippenham Protyre !

Just did a perfect job replacing my damaged tyre caused by a pothole.

The team went above and beyond to get my MOT done when there was an issue - would definitely use them again next year

Fantastic service and wont go anywhere else for my tyres as was very honest and advised me to come back in a couple of months time as plenty of tread on the tyres as was wrongly advised by another garage and this has gained even more trust with the team at the Chippenham depo lead by Luke thank you so much :-)

Great efficient service

Having ordered 4 tyres online and booking a slot for fitting we arrived at protege Chippenham to be told there were only 3 tyres available. We were told the other tyre should be delivered later that day and they would ring us to rearrange. We didn’t get any phone call. Finally after we had made a formal complaint the tyres were fitted 4 days later.
Having stated the above I must praise the manager Augusto who was excellent (great people skills). He has also offered a free MOT which more than compensates us for earlier inconvenience.

Thorough Inspection and honest advice,
A huge enphisis of safety and customer service.
Helpful to ensure and offer choices to meet my budget without compromise on safety.

I was spoken to very politely.

My car was seen to at the first available time.

The cost was very good.
